+ 0 moreToday, I had a call from Liz at Keyman about an open invoice, which I didn't remember. She must have spent hours researching the question and wrote me a very clear and detailed explanation of the history of my account, and it turned out that I actually had a credit. That level of diligence, of going above and beyond, is just one example of why Keyman deserves an A.
Description of Work: We have had Keyman work on our lawn for the past few years, and this year when I renewed the service, I forgot that one of the services had been done just last year and didn't need to be done again. They kindly reminded me of my oversight. In our very first encounter with Keyman, they left one of our back yard gates open by mistake; I called and asked them to be sure to close the gate when they left because we have two dogs who could easily make a break for it since we can't see the gate from the door. Ever since, they have left a note for the service tech to be sure to close the gate. Our lawn looks better than it ever has before!

+ 0 moreThe lawn was in desperate need of attention and Keyman came out and told me what needed to be done. They gave me an excellent quote. The lawn was obviously not taken care of for many years and it will look better because of the care that Keyman did for me.
Description of Work: Fertilization and weed control.I bought the home in July 2011 and it needed lots of TLC, expecially in the yard!! I hired Keyman in the Summer of 2012 and they did an excellent job and they are coming back again for me this year. They have done one treatment already. Very timely and great to work with.

This will be the third year we've used Keyman, and have been happy with the health of the lawn and lack of weeds. When we asked about what products they were using, they were very responsive in getting us the literature. There's lots of good lawn service companies, but we see no reason to switch.

+ -1 moreThey do a good job. They are inexpensive. They are very responsive. We had a lawn service before and they would charge me regardless of the lawn cutting done or not. I was getting ripped off. This company is fine if we tell them that we don’t want the lawn cut. The other company I used wasn’t responsive but these people are very responsive. I would use them in the future.

+ -1 moreMy yard had become overrun by weeds, despite putting down Scott's with weed killer this spring. I got an estimate from Keyman, then hired them for 5 treatments. They came the next week, and after one treatment all of my weeds were killed. My lawn looks great, I can't wait to see how it is after all 5 treatments.
Description of Work: So far, I've only had one application of weed killer and fertilizer applied. The fertilizer was pellets in a broadcast spreader, and the weed killer was liquid.

+ -1 moreI found this company through Angies List. What I did was, I prepaid them for five lawn treatment services, which includes crabgrass preventer and early spring fertilizer. They give you a discount when you prepay them. They do a very good job and I am very pleased with them. Their price is very competitive. I have seen them work and they seem very professional. The information that they leave on what they have done is much more complete than other lawn services I have used. I would continue to use them in the future.

+ 0 moreSo far I've only had the first (weed and fertilizer) treatment, but at least to this point I'm very satisfied with both the responsiveness and quality of service.
Description of Work: Contracted for 2 lawn treatments and core aeration yet this year to get lawn ready to list house for sale in 2011, and will probably continue treatments next year until house is sold. We have a fairly large lawn (estimates ran 25K-30K sf), and I thought prices for service were quite reasonable (approx. $112 per treatment and $290 for double pass aeration). Prices for the lawn treatments were roughly what I'd been paying just for premium bagged fertilizer, and they cut the price for aeration to match a competitive bid.

+ 0 moreThey were quick to set up an appointment to give us an estimate. We pay about $40 per visit which includes basic lawn maintenance and they come 5-6 times a year. This year we needed them to also look at our lawn which appear to have some powdery mildew, they came out within a few days and treated the lawn. They also call us ahead of time to let us know they will be coming by which is great because we have dogs and it is good to know when they will be coming by. They leave instructions about how long we should stay off the lawn, when to water next, when to avoid mowing, etc. which is also very helpful after each visit.
Description of Work: We have our lawn fertilized by Keyman and they also treat the lawn with weed preventatives and fungicides as needed.
