Went in for a general tune up as the machine was hard to start. Provider went above and beyond the basics and really put the machine back into shape by doing many small things such as properly securing cables and greasing bits. The mechanic also read me correctly in that I preferred to keep the cost down. To this end, he secured the throttle cable that was coming out of the handle in a low cost way rather than order a new one. Works for me. Some may want new. I don't remember the exact price so I just plugged in $75. However I do remeber thinking it was quite fair/reasonable. I will be taking my snow blower to him for some major work soon. Highly recommended.

The service went very well. The gentleman explained to me what the problem was. He fixed it within 24 hours. He warned me not to use ordinary gas with ethanol in it. That was one little detail that we totally forgot about. Our snow blower never had a manual because it's very old. He saved us the hassle of completely messing up our snow blower and making it usable. So I was very pleased with the gentleman's service. The price was very reasonable. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

My tractor was an older model. I asked for an extended service with oil change, tune, blade sharpening and new belt. All services were performed on time and seemingly well. After a few uses, the carb started leaking. OK, it happens, but apparently it's a common problem with these older mowers but I wasn't informed when the first work was done. I called and a shut-off valve was installed as recommended and the problem was solved. Soon thereafter, though, the blades quit working. I looked underneath to see that the belt was not on its proper track. I place it properly. The blades then worked but apparently the interlock wasn't adjusted properly and the mower ran only intermittently. Again Baker was called and promptly picked up the mower (no pick up fee) and found another issue with a bracket. It was fixed for a fee and returned to me. Two mows later (1/3 acre lot) the mower ran for a few minutes and wouldn't restart. It appeared to be another carb problem. I then sold the mower. IMHO, a highly skilled mechanic would have investigated all aspects of the function of the mower and advised me of potential issues and allowed me to make the decision as to whether I wanted to invest in the repairs, but not here. Two trips to the shop and one home visit (the carb leak) and I still had significant problems. This was, as I mentioned, an older unit but I feel there was not enough care taken during the repair(s) and I wasted both time and money with this provider. PS- In the Address Where Work Was Performed (below) the repairs took place at my home and the provider's location, but when at the providers location it was picked up and delivered (for a reasonable fee).

Mr Baker was professional, prompt, and helpful. He did a good job of explaining his work to me, had the job done a day earlier than promised, charged a reasonable amount. His shop (garage) looks neat and clean. I will call him again as needed.

He is the best. Prompt, great prices and I will use him every year. He even picks up and delivers if you need it at a reasonable price. I will use him for my snow blower this fall also.
