A-1 Quality Steam

I purchased the deal. Two days later, I received a message from the provider to contact them to set up an appointment. The next morning I called A-1 Steam and spoke with a gentlemen to set up a time and date to redeem my deal. After speaking with him for a few minutes, he expressed to me that he was "kicking himself for putting up the Angie's List deal." He stated that he was only "grossing $50" on the deal. In my opinion, that is not the customer's problem the provider is losing money on the deal. It was completely uncalled for and I ended up calling into Angie's List customer service to cancel the deal because of the lack of professionalism. Very dissatisfied.

Arrived promptly, provided great courtesy and care to our home, even managing to carefully pry up air vents that were under about 50 years of paint (we just bought the house, so this was our first vent cleaning.) Seemed to be a very thorough job, very professional attitude, flexible with timing, all in all a great experience. Price, too, seems to be competitive with other full house duct cleaning jobs we've looked into. We will certainly use them again in the future. --Pete

Fast, friendly and professional I would recommend this company. They steam cleaned my duct work and the air quality in my home is greatly improved. Do yourself a favor and call this company. You will be glad you did!

DI purchased through an Angie's eal. A1 contacted me several days after my purchase and told me they could not provide the service because they were located too far from my home to make the trip worthwhile for "a small job." My county was included in A1's service area. As of this writing I do not have a refund.

Very pleased with communication, punctuality and quality of service.

They did a fast but professional of cleaning my air ducts and even finished a little early so that I could make another appointment that day. They also did a couple extra things to my vent/duct covers that needed attention without charging me for it.

On the first bathroom the grout was terribly dirty and I was skeptical if anything could get it looking better. I thought the guys would take one look and tell me they couldn't help. Was I wrong. They took a look and said there was going to be a major wow factor when they were done and they were absolutely right! The grout is terrific and when they finished they sealed the grout in both bathrooms. The second room was in better shape but definitely needed cleaning and that floor is great as well. I plan to contact them again to clean my carpets.

The crew was on time and went about the work in a professional manner. There were more ducts/vents than in the original Angies List deal we paid for. Each extra duct cost $13. The grates were vacuumed and the duct pipes as well. They did not have a special large vacuum inside the house as have other duct cleaners we have used. I don't know if their system does a better cleaning job than the others, but the ducts are much better than before the work was done. I would have them return to clean the ducts in the future.

I called to schedule with him and he said he could be there on a Monday, but couldn't give me a approx time. He was rude and said that he would get there when he could. He then told me that he didn't need my business.

The work was done thoroughly and timely.

These guys are great! Their work made an instant difference on the dust level in my house, as well as the air flow from my furnace. In one vent they found 8 balls! So happy I did this.

He was to come yesterday and called me 30 mins before the appointment and rescheduled for today and then showed up today and tells me that he can not do the work. I have a 1920's house which is very typical for where I live and I believe that they should state it in their description of the deal that they do not service these types of houses. Especially since the house I live in is the standard for this area of town.

Lance & helper, Jacob, showed up on time, exercised care while moving furniture, and claened carpet. To a lay person such as myself, it appears the machine they use doesn't actually use "steam" to clean, but rather uses a soap-infused liquid of some sort. At any rate, the job was done to my satisfaction!

My daughter took care of letting the crew in the house, as I was at work. They were very polite, and asked before even using an outlet. I had another company in the house several months ago, and they were very rude, and left marks on furniture and doors. Was so excited how professional this company is, and they did a wonderful job. Two men arrived right on time. They brought in their equipment and worked upstairs especially on both sides of our bed where medicines and other nasty things had become encrusted. Then they came downstairs to my study where some furniture needed to be moved out of the way before they could treat and steam the carpet.We don't have pets but I have a colostomy and my husband has Parkinsons so the carpets had become unsightly and almost intolerable and had never been steam cleaned.. It took about an hour and a half and in the end there were no stains, no dark spots, no odors. They did a wonderful job for us and I would hire them again any time.

I don't remember all the details because it has been quite some time ago since I had this service done.

I would not use them in the future.

I have as much dust as I did before the ducts were cleaned. When I had the ducts cleaned at a previous house, the men showed me what they got out of the ducts. This didn't happen this time.

There is No way I would hire this company. Lance increased the price to $157, because that's what the last guy charged me. However, the last guy made my carpets look brand new. Lance said he can only do what he can. I questioned why he increased the price and Lance became enraged and started yelling at me. He startled me and actually scared me. I just could Not believe how angry he became. I was completely willing to pay the $300. He only increased it by $32 and I had no problem paying that, however feel as a customer I should be able to ask simple questions. Not only did Lance lose the $300. He also lost a potential client where he would get the job every Spring and every Fall. So sad :(

They were prompt, courteous and did a great job. They explained everything and showed us what their findings were.

Courteous and on time. Job not done as professionally as others we have had in the past. Soilt seemed to reappear not too long after they did the work/

The service went well. They showed up as scheduled and did the work I needed. I thought it was a good deal. I am not so sure about the quality of the sanitizing. They basically vacuumed the vents which is what we needed. I paid an additional fee for them to clean some extra vents. Two technicians came out and completed the work in about 2-3 hours. They were personable and did a good job.

Very well! When i called to set up an appointment, I assumed that it would be impossible to schedule my cleaning before Thanksgiving, but happily was proved wrong. Very careful attention was paid to the cleaning of our wool carpeting that had suffered some stubborn spotting. An excellent job all around!

It was what they advertised. It went OK. I would not use them again. I don't think it was thorough.
