Description of Work: Originally, my husband had tried to refinish our hardwood floors in our dining/living room and hallway, (with no experience and inferior tools). It most definitely had to be redone. We called around and got different quotes from people with varying degrees of experience. Sandmasters quote was by far the highest but we chose them based on their reviews and that they also have an optional ultraviolet light curing method which brings drying time down to one day. We did not have to wait a week to put our furniture back as we would have if there was no ultraviolet treatment. The floors turned out absolutely beautiful! Far beyond my expectations. I didn't have any idea that our previously carpet covered hardwood floors could possibly look so amazing. We have gotten compliments from everyone who has seen them. Despite the cost, I highly recommend them due to the absolute perfection of their work. They had everything done in a very timely manner as well. We couldn't be happier with the results.

Description of Work: Sanded and re-finished hardwood floors. Matched and replaced damaged pieces. Carpenter was an "old world" craftsman. Beautiful job matching and replacing pieces. Finish looks great. Sander accidentally cracked a piece of glass on buffet, but immediately pointed it out to me and paid full cost of repairs. Could not be more pleased.

This is a wonderful home with red oak flooring that we were able to stain darker for the customer. The floor turned out great and the customer was fantastic to work with. It was very nice that we were able to use our Instant cure finishing system on the floor to be able to get the customer back to everyday living. Thank you [removed member name]

Description of Work: I had them in for an estimate on replacing/expanding hardwood floor area. They are very nice, very competent and very professional, however their price was significantly higher than another company which I chose. The other company (which I did find on Angie's List, as well) did a fabulous job. In years past Sandmasters sanded and stained my old floors and did a great job. I would call them again for estimates, but if they are consistently higher priced than others I would use someone else.

I thought they were excellent. The salesmen was patient and very helpful. They didn't rush us. They had good follow through and wonderful workmanship.

It was great. They worked neatly. They came when they said they would. They explained the work they would be doing well. They verbally explained the process to me and then actually sent me a specific work letter.

I was really impressed with their attention to detail and their follow up. They were very customer oriented and did anything to make sure we were happy with their service. This was a very professional company to do business with.

Resurfacing hardwood floors is messy no matter how you do it. Sandmasters did a great job restoring the floors to like-new condition. They cleaned up the best they could. ( note: I made the mistake of running my A/C while they were working and the dust spread to all rooms in the house... that was my fault) they did a great job!

Salesman not the most informed. Told workers the wrong transition piece to install, billed us incorrectly, seemed to have very little knowledge in the end of what actually was done; workers themselves tried their best, yet did inferior work (had 3 or 4 different guys).

SALES REP RECOMMENDED A CUSTOM ELEVATED TRIM STRIP BEING MOST ECONOMICAL AS MEMBER WAS LOOKING FOR MOST ECONOMICAL FIX FOR HER REPAIR. THE MEMBER WAS OKAY WITH THIS OPTION. WHEN TECHNICIANS CAME TO JOB, THEY SUGGESTED A CUSTOM BEVELED TRANSITION BOARD TO BE SANDED FROM WOOD LEVEL TO TILE LEVEL INSTEAD, BUT WAS MORE EXPENSIVE. SHE ELECTED THE MORE EXPENSIVE TRANSITION BOARD & WE ACTUALLY SOLD IT TO HER AT THE SAME PRICE AS THE LESS EXPENSIVE TRIM STRIP WITH REPAIR AT $130. ORIGINALLY, WE DID INVOICE FOR THE RECOAT, BUT MEMBER ELECTED TO HAVE US JUST DO THE REPAIR. WE REINVOICED AT $130. SANDMASTERS HAS DIFFERENT SPECIALIZED TECHNICIANS TO COVER THE DIFFERENT STAGES OF A PROJECT, IE, INSTALLERS, SANDERS/STAINERS, FINISHERS. A MANAGER WAS AT THIS PARTICULAR JOB TO LOOK IT OVER AS WELL. THIS ACCOUNTS FOR THE NUMBER OF TECHNICIANS ON THE MEMBER'S JOB.
