Very thorough. So clean!! Made sure we could still love in house while work was done. Very accommodating. Have excellent advice. Matched existing finishes in house very well. Very quality conscious. Will have him do future work for us.

Work started on 03/26/18 and completed on 03/29/18. Tim's work and his work ethic is hard to find in a reliable contractor today. Tim and his crew were excellent and the finished product is beautiful. The floors had been covered by carpet for at least 40+ years and had many stains from repeated use of a Bissell Carpet cleaning, water stains, etc. Tim only had to replace 3-4 boards and the rest they sanded and refinished and the original 1955 red oak floors are gorgeous!!!

Tim is a very talented and creative genius when it comes to hardwood floors. I had raw wood installed throughout my entire house. He meticulously laid each piece, stained it EXACTLY the color I requested, and varnished it. The end result was stunning. Extremely pleased with every aspect of working with Tim and his crew. The best thing I have ever done for my house was to hire him for this job! One in a million!

Tim was very easy to work with and he is a perfectionist. The floor looks beautiful. He worked with me to make sure the stain was the correct color. Very professional and worth the wait. Definitely will have him back to refinish other floors in my house.

It was amazing. Scuffs, marks, and blemishes are gone, and the wood looks beautiful. Tim is extremely knowledgeable and he took the time to talk to me and answer all kinds of questions. I plan to hire him to do the same with our dining and living rooms, and to completely refinish some old wood floors in our bedrooms and upper hall. I'm very pleased with his work and with his work ethic.

I have a beautiful oak floor now, and it took craftsmen like Tim and Trevor to pull this off. My condo is in a 110-year-old, un-level building and the subfloor was in bad shape. For that reason, it was challenging getting quotes on this floor to begin with, and after receiving high dollar quotes for vinyl (I was positive I couldn’t afford a wood floor) from some of the top floor installers in Milwaukee, Tim’s quote was refreshingly fair. I now have real wood floors, stained and beautifully finished! I clearly made the right choice. As others have mentioned, the wait for Tim and Trevor was worth it.

First of all, Tim and Trevor are great, hard working and trustworthy people-important when you have people in your house working. I enjoyed having they around. Tim is not a "hardwood installer". That is an understatement. He is truly a craftsman who enjoys and takes great pride in what he does. And he is outstanding at what he does. He pays attention to the details and strives for perfection. I highly recommend Tim Winsall Flooring. You need to make sure to schedule him far enough out because he is quite busy.

Top notch. Tim Winsall is an artist with wood. His knowledge of wood and stains is remarkable and his work is exceptional. Tim takes no short cuts- his work is beautifully done. Trevor, Tim's assistant, is a terrific asset to this team, and the two of them are perfectionists. Tim Winsall did an amazing job. The floor looks absolutely gorgeous, way better than I thought was possible for the age of the floor. It turns out that there was a problem under the floor between the main room and the addition. There was a "bump" under the floor, and the boards had been sanded down paper thin to make it level before carpet was laid over it. Tim and his crew removed the problematic boards, fixed the floor underneath, and put in new boards that matched perfectly. Even though we weren't expecting this level of repair, the final price was very very close to the original estimate. It turns out teh floors in this house are kind of loose, and Tim spent a lot of time filling in little cracks and screwing down boards to minimize creaking. He's a real craftsman. Tim and his workers were very professional and easy to talk to. Tim really listened to what I wanted, and made everything perfect. He stayed late one night and we spoke at length about floor color, and he laid out several stains for us to look at so I could see them all lined up. In the end, he ended up mixing me up a custom stain color for my floor that I absolutely love. At the end of every day the room was clean and the equipment was organized and safely put away, which was important to me because I have pets and young kids. The whole process, because of repairs and everything, took about 6 days, Monday-Saturday. Like I said, the price was super reasonable, and ended up being very close to the original estimate despite unexpected repairs that were required. I have been recommending him to everyone I know! I will hire him again in the future for sure when we are ready to do the upstairs.

Tim was knowledgeable and courteous. Easy going ,explained the process and the products he used. Did a complete tear out and install. Everything looks great and the price was reasonable.

Tim and his crew did an outstanding job throughout the whole process. I interviewed a few refinishers and they were all very negative about the ability to stain maple hardwood flooring dark. Tim came in and had a can-do attitude along with the knowledge to assure me he knew what he was talking about. Even though we had to wait a couple of months for him to start, I knew he was the guy to do our floors right away. He has true passion for what he does and his crew is dedicated, professional and hard working. He came in and taped off the house to keep the dust mess to a minimum and also was very considerate of what we were going through as homeowners losing access to the entire first level for some periods. They always showed up on time, were very polite and took all the time I wanted to talk to me about the process and answer all questions I had. They amount of time they put in every day was a tribute to their excellent work ethic and the attention to detail they threw into our house. I must say that the end result was exactly what I had pictured in my mind and the quality exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Tim and his crew as they were the hardest working, most polite and considerate, and competent people that I have ever hired to do work in my home or at any of my other properties. The cost for his work was very reasonable but when I look at the final product that we have and the quality of his work, I think his pricing is great bargain. Very satisfied customer.

If there was a rating above a A that is what Tim would deserve. I have never worked with a contractor that was so skilled and so easy to work with. He did all the detailed work himself and he is a real craftsman. His prices were far below what installers from a retailer would charge. He is the BEST!

Fantastic - Tim is a real craftsman - he took average quality hardwood flooring and made it look amazing! Tim is really an artist - he did this floor for us as well as floors for my daughter's house - they both look beautiful. He also uses four coats of finish (many others use 2-3) for durability. I would highly recommend Tim Winsall!

Tim was great to work with. All steps in the process and decisions to be made were clear and thoroughly explained. He told us it would be two weeks for the job to be completed and he finished a day early. The also helped us move our stove and refrigerator out of the way.

It went great! Everyone who was in our home was friendly and courteous. They made sure to clean up after themselves everyday when they left and did an excellent job with installation. We couldn't be happier with the end result! We would definitely recommend them to our friends in the future.

Tim Winsall and his team are excellent. They are artists and consummate professionals. Our home was built in 1945, and the floors were worn down to the wood in some places. He and his team were timely, worked hard and as cleanly as possible - and were a lot of fun to have around! Tim is a solid communicator, and consulted with us every step of the way. His recommendations and demonstrations ensured we chose the best stain color for our floors. Even though we have Red Oak and Maple floors, the tone was matched brilliantly, which brought out the maximum beauty in each wood. We simply cannot say enough - we feel there could be no better decision than the one we made to hire Tim Winsall Flooring!
