Heiden Tub Refinishing

It was a very positive experience. He explained everything that he was doing. His work was very neat. We had to have him come back to correct some minor problems with the tub. Once he did come back everything went smoothly.

I called Randy for an estimate. He has a flat fee plus additional for colors and repairs. The price was very reasonable (compared to putting in a new tub). We scheduled the work as the last item to be done on our bathroom remodel. Randy arrived on time. I didn't think the tub needed any repairs. I couldn't see any, but marks from the old shower doors and some scratches added some repairs. Randy taped everything off very neatly, and covered both the shower head and the tub spout. He matched the paint to the off-white toilet, and it is pretty close. He called us right before he started glazing so that we could be there to see how it looked when he finished. It looked great - even with the protective paper still up. He gave us a spec sheet with maintenance info. We couldn't turn the water on in the whole house until the following evening (in case we had a leak though I don't think this happens to most people). We had this done on a Monday, and we couldn't use the tub until Thursday morning. To be on the safe side, I called Randy to walk through all of these precautions, and he took extra time to explain how to check the cure on the glaze and how to remove the tape in the drain. It looks wonderful. The finish is beautiful. Randy is great to work with!

I really appreciate the fact that he was willing to delay a job in order to ensure a high level of quality. I will definitely call him again to reschedule the refinishing after the damage has been taken care of.

Very pleasant experience and Randy Luna knows how to do a good job. We are pleased with the outcome. This is a valuable option to ripping apart a bathroom, especially in an older home with marble or tile that could not be easily replaced or matched.

He did a great job! He responded quickly, came when he said he would, and the job took exactly the time he said it would. We had one rough spot, and he came out and buffed it.

It went great. The company owner, Randy Luna, does the work. He was really informative when I first called about getting an estimate. He knows what he's doing and is really good at communicating that in a really helpful way, so you know what you're paying for and you know what to expect. The day of, he was running a little late but called right away to let me know. The work took the amount of time that he said it would and the results were a tub that looks brand new, just like he said it would. It's beautiful!

Our tub reglazing was originally scheduled at noon on a Thursday afternoon. On Wednesday morning Randy found out that his materials supplier failed to ship his order priority overnight and he wouldn't have the materials for our job until late Thursday afternoon. Randy didn't feel comfortable promising us that he would get his materials and be able to finish our job within our previously arranged time slot. Instead, he promised us that he would get our job done late Friday afternoon after his two other scheduled jobs. We could have been upset, but I was happy that Randy was pro-active and called me immediately when he found out that he wasn't going to be able to do the job in the scheduled time slot. Late Friday, he came and reglazed and repaired our tub. Randy did a great job and took the time to explain what we needed to do to care for our newly reglazed tub. It looks great!

I tried contacting him to have the chip refinished and he has not returned our phone calls. The refinishing job was great, but I wish I could get a hold of him.

Grout Masters came one day and made the repairs to the tile. Randy Luna came the next day to refinish the tub. It was a Friday, and I took a half day of vacation, since he seemed to be hoping someone would be there. He finished around 12:30 and I was advised not to use the tub for 48 hours while it dried. I was very careful not to go near it! It was an interesting process that used a lot more machinery than I had imagined! Most of the work was preparatory, cleaning and acid etching the tub. (But he did say my tub was very clean!) The actual painting went pretty fast. He covered my vanity with brown paper and taped everything off really well. He opened the front and back door to increase ventilation, in the final paint stage. I was glad it was a pleasant day outside. Grout Masters came on Monday for the final caulking and I could not be more pleased. The only down side was that I had to give away my new bath mat. No more bath mats with suction cups!

Randy was very professional when giving us an estimate over the phone. Was nice that he didn't have to come out to the house to give the estimate, was able to give it over the phone. He scheduled the job in a timely manner and actually showed up to do the job. He did a beautiful job on both the tub & tile. Felt he went above and beyond the call of duty. He did come back to re-caulk the tub & tile area (for an additional fee). The results are amazing and Randy is a honest, hardworking man. Rare to find that anymore.

I left an email for them asking about my tub. They got back to me the day day. He gave me a flat rate and said he'd send me a brochure. I received it in a few days and will definitely use him to paint my tub when I am ready.

Showed up on time, did work quickly and professionally and the finished product looks great.

When I was young, my parents had a tub refinished. I remember that it quickly yellowed and looked worst than it did before it was finished. When it came time to make decisions regarding my tub, I looked into all the options, including refinishing, replacement (no way- $$$), and re-glazing. In-place tub refinishing is definitely the most economical option. I apprehensively called Heiden and left a message, which was returned by Rob that evening. He explained the process to me and answered all my questions about warranty, process, etc. He explained that they used to use an epoxy product that would quickly yellow. This has been replaced by a new technique that will last 10+ years if property cared for. Rob was very insightful and helped alleviate my fears. Two weeks later Rob came over and, in under three hours, transformed my tub from a rooming house piece of junk to a smooth, clean, bright antique. I was very impressed - Rob is a professional, friendly craftsman.

Randy was nice to work with. We were pleased with the experience.

Randy refinished tub and sink with a custom color. The day after, I noticed some small bumps on sink. I called Randy and he came back and quickly fixed the problem. Turned out great.

Randy did a great job on refinishing the tub. I was pleased with the results and would recommend him to anyone wanting to have a tub refinished. I was comfortable leaving him in my home while I returned to work. Randy explained the refinishing process as well as discussing the care/steps regarding the tub finish. Nice, honest guy who does great work. Plus, the day of the service it was extremely hot however this didn't seem to phase Randy which I think speaks well of how profession he was. The old damaged, chipped tub looks like it is new and I am very pleased with the results!

They refinished my tub and were careful to explain the entire process to me, including what they do and what they don't do (they do not re-caulk the tub afterwards), so there were no surprises. The tub looks great, clean and shiny white again. They were on schedule. I have not used the tub since, so I cannot comment on the wear of the finish.

I thought Randy did a nice job. The tub turned out well. I trusted him to work alone in my home and had no problems. There was a little miscommunication regarding when the work would be started and completed, but this was eventually worked out. I could tell Randy values his customers and worked hard to make me happy.

Was straightforward and honest when I called to request a work estimate. Informed me that I needed a different kind of service, recommended a provider, complete with phone number and contact. Pleasant, polite, and professional. It was really nice to have that kind of helpful attitude. I say A+ to his ethics!

Randy was very pleasant. The odor from the glaze is strong so it helps to be able to open the windows - luckily we've had a mild winter! The result is terrific - like a new tub!

THOUGH RANDY WAS AT TIMES A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO CONTACT, HE DID RETURN CALLS AND WAS WILLING TO WORK AROUND MY SCHEDULE AND DEADLINES TO GET THE JOB DONE. HE WAS UNFAILINGLY PLEASANT AND DID A FINE JOB.

RANDY WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND POLITE. HE WORKED QUICKLY AND EXPLAINED THE PROCESS THOROUGHLY. THE NEW FINISH IS OUTSTANDING AND WE ARE THRILLED WITH THE RESULT.

RANDY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT. HE DID A SUPERB JOB REFINISHING THE TUB. IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE IT JUST CAME OFF THE KOHLER SHOWROOM FLOOR. THE ONLY SLIGHT DOWNSIDE WAS THAT HE DOES NOT RETURN TO RECAULK THE TUB.

I REQUESTED AN ESTIMATE BY LEAVING A MESSAGE ON THEIR ANSWERING MACHINE FOUR OR FIVE TIMES. HEIDEN RESPONDED ONE TIME AND ASKED ME TO CALL BACK BY 10 PM THAT DAY. I RESPONDED ONLY TO GET THE ANSWERING MACHINE AGAIN. SO I FINALLY GAVE UP.
