Heiden Tub Refinishing

Heiden's was quick to call me back and available within the next week. They did have to reschedule to one day later but it wasn't problematic. The work usually takes 3-4 hours...they were here 8 hours to get the job done right. I wasn't on site myself, but when I came home, it was like a hotel spa bath. Absolutely beautiful! Only things to be aware of are the strong smell of the paint for several days and the need to caulk several days later. I love my new bath!

The first time Randy prepped the bathtub.He had to come in a few days later to fully finish the job, and caulk the bathtub. I usually pay either 50% in advance, or the entire amount once the the contractor has fully finished the job; However, Randy wanted the full upfront payment right after he completed the day 1 job, which took me a bit by surprise. I would have personally preferred to pay the entire amount after the job was fully finished. I was pleased with the overall quality. He is not cheap, but he does do a good job, and stands behind his work. Overall, a good experience, and a nice well mannered person to deal with.

Very courteous and proffesional. Done in a matter of hours. Great price. One area that isn't as smooth as the rest (looks like the gloss finish got sprayed with some enamel).

Randy did a wonderful job on our bathtub - it looks brand new! He is a true professional and very meticulous about his work. He also explained how to care for our tub before he left. I definitely recommend him!

Randy did an excellant job with the re-coating. He did a good job stripping the tub down very carefully and applying a new coat of enamel. He installed a blower while the job was in progress to take the fumes out of the house and cleaned up well after the job was done. One year down the line and the tub still gleams and looks like new. I will not hesitate to hire him again.

The folks at Heiden did a great job. They let us know that the physical ring around the bottom of the tub would not be completely eliminated due to most of the enamel being eaten away but it would be a lot less noticeable. They were right. With the exception of a slightly noticeable ring around the bottom we have what looks like a brand new sparkling white bath tub.

They did a good job. I felt that the price was reasonable. It's a unique service. They were punctual and professional. The quality was good.

I spent under $500 on that work. I liked them a lot and everything went pretty well. I was satisfied with their service and the clean up was also fine. Their price was a little high, but that was supposed to last longer.

So far so good. The tub looks great. Since the work was just completed I can't speak to how long the repair will last. He does offer a 3 year warranty. Randy and Matt we quite easy to work with. Cleaned up after themselves. Explained everything. Really nice people.

We are very happy with the end result of our bathtub--it looks brand new and the price was very reasonable. Randy is the owner and he does the spraying of the tub, he had another guy do the prep work which took about 4 hrs to prep and then 1 hr to spray. From start to finish, he was very responsive to phone calls and answering questions. There is a smell and a little dust that is kicked up after he is done--so you should be aware of that and he tells you before he sprays. He also used some industrial sized fans to get the smell out. I would say by the morning most of the smell was gone. the end result is just fabulous!!

He was a good guy. The experience was good. They came in one day and made our old tub look almost brand new. They did a good job. The price was fair and reasonable. I have recommended them to other people.

He was extremely honest. He said that since I was planning to redo the bathroom in another five years I should not refinish the bathtub, because he would only cover the service for about three years. He said that since I was going to have the bathroom redone I should just save the money and purchase a new tub when I redo the bathroom. He called me back the same day.

Our white tub had been painted six years ago, just before we bought the house -- a very poor job. The paint started peeling within a few weeks after we moved in. I heard many negative reports about bathtub refinishing. My contractor and plumber did not have anyone to recommend. I finally joined Angie's list to see if I could find SOMEONE I could trust to do a good job. This company's consistently high ratings led me to call Randy. There was a $125 additional cost to remove the old paint, plus $35 to repair a lot of pits in the bottom of the tub (which had not been done the first time). The overall cost was fair. Our bathroom has a window, and Randy was able to direct the dust and some of the smell outside, which really helped a lot. I needed to wipe down the walls, but there really wasn't much dust. He cleaned up well before putting down the paper to protect everything before painting. We have brand new plumbing fixtures, and they were all perfectly untouched after the job. He took quite a bit of time explaining what kind of cleansers can and must not be used. We needed to wait a full three days before touching the paint. So far so good! It looks wonderful! Overall, a much better experience than I anticipated. I definitely recommended this company.

I had a baby blue bathtub that I wanted painted with. Randy, was great! Pleasure to work with and talk to. He was very punctual, and had my tub done within a day! He did a wonderful job, and was very meticulous and clean. Tub looks brand new. Would highly recommend!

Everything went well. He came when he was supposed to and did a beautiful job.

I had tried twice to fix some scratches on the bottom of my tub with the refinishing stuff from the local home improvement store only to have it peel up within a week. So I called Heiden Tub Refinishing. Randy called me back quickly and fit me in his schedule within a week. Randy showed up on time and got right to work. There was another report that mentioned a fine dust on everything after Randy finished, and that's true...but that's all it is a fine dust. It cleaned right up. While Randy worked, I just quickly covered my aquarium and TV to avoid any problem. Randy explained that that each house exhausts differently and despite his best efforts the plume of dust fell on my living room. No problem. My tub went from a scratched, rusting eyesore to a bright white, like-new tub and all I had to do was dust. Due to some issues with dog hair (I have 2 dogs), he had to keep pulling hairs our of the fresh top coat, but he didn't charge extra. I had this work done in January and to be honest I've been waiting for something to start peeling, but everything is just like it was when Randy left. Great work!

Prompt callback. Quick service. Nice work. Very reasonable. Instructions on future care of tub. Couldn't complain about a thing.

The bathtub looks great. However, there was a fine dust covering the ENTIRE floor when he was done. Everything needed to be dusted or washed. I wish he would have advised us to close doors to minimize the mess. It would have saved us a lot of clean-up time.

Contractor was very patient with us as we made a couple of attempts to set up a time that we ended up canceling. He also sent us a brochure as well as emailed us pics of his work. After finally securing a date, Heiden's came in and explained the process to us and got to work. He was somewhat later than was originally scheduled, but it was snowing that day. The outcome was better than we expected. And unlike a previous client who posted on Angie's List, he was very nice to our dog. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Wonderful experience. I wanted to keep my old porcelain tub because of the design. I redid the whole peach bathroom. It's a beautiful white and I love my tub. It was worth every penny.

The contractor called to say that he was going to be a couple of hours late because his previous job was going longer than he thought it would. When he arrived, he explained exactly what he would be doing and answered all the questions I had. He came back the next morning to complete the job. The tub looks beautiful!

The tub itself is wonderful, but the overspray on the sink is disgusting. I know it will come off, but do not put it on in the first place. I also did not like the mess that was left in the hallway and I wish I had a head's up to remove everything from the bathroom. I was only told to remove the stuff on the floor and near the tub. Sanding of the tub left debris everywhere. Every towel in the bathroom had to be washed. Even my toothbrush in the cabinet had to be tossed. Also, if you cannot stand yappy little dogs, tell the owner up front. Kicking at a pet never puts you on a "favorite" list.

Randy gave me an estimate over the phone-asked for permission to be 20 minutes late (he went to the hardware store) and then fixed my tub while I was at work. Pretty good work too.
