Heiden Tub Refinishing

Came out to refinish tub and stated it didn't need it. I was told tub was in good shape. Used a cleaner to get off stains. There office and everyone I dealt with was pleasant and straight forward with me. There was no charge for coming out. I would definitely recommend them based on their honesty. It was a pleasant surprise. I will be calling them again if I need this service.

The service was excellent! The work was immaculate and the end result so much better than I anticipated. Randy is courteous and very careful to ensure the fumes have an escape route.

They refinished our bath tub. They were good and professional. We definitely use them again and we recommend them. I'm very happy with their service.

Randy was a nice guy. There was a miscommunication and the plumber did not leave the tub the way Randy requested. Randy did not place blame and did complain about a wasted trip to our home. It is difficult to get a hold of Randy. He rarely answers the phone and calls are not always returned within 24 hours. Randy did not perform the service, but rather his son did. There was confusion about our address. On the day of the job, Randy's son called for the code to our door, but couldn't find where to enter it...he was at the wrong address. Not a big deal, but, we didn't receive an invoice for a couple months. I had to call and request the invoice. I suspect it was mailed to the wrong address. When the invoice did arrive, it was for the wrong amount. It included caulking, but I did the caulking myself. I adjusted the invoice myself and remitted payment. Quality is good. Having never had a tub refinished, I though it would have fewer blemishes. It looks good, but has several noticeable particles in the finish.

He came over and we reviewed the final options. He was very honest and told me what I needed and did not oversell. He discussed having a slip proof bottom which I accepted and what he could and could not do with the tub due to some scratches. He was on time and gave me a very accurate bid prior to starting the job. The job of prepping and then painting the baby blue tub white took 2 days as he said it would. I was very pleased with the final outcome.

The finishing process didn't actually work on our tile which seemed to be a fluke since it's worked well for so many other people. We are in the process of receiving a refund.

Instead of a $600 bill I would have had, he charged me $35 for his travel costs. Would I call Heiden Tub Refinishing again? You better belive I would and I will recommend him to anyone that is looking to have their tub and sinks refinished THANKS RANDY !!

After looking on Angies List, I found Heiden Tub Refinishing. I read all of the reviews, and was very impressed. I called Heiden the next day and he gave me a quote to do the job. He came out two weeks later, and performed the tub and sink reglazing. I was very amazed at the time he took to clean the surfaces, and paper the area to avoid overspray getting on any area it was not supposed to. When the job was complete, he was very good about cleaning up the area. Please note, the paper had to stay up so the glaze could harden and dry. He was very clear as to the instructions to NOT use, touch, remove the paper or you will risk having damage to the glaze job. This stuff has to have enought time to dry and harden. A couple of days later he came back to my house and removed the paper and he caulked around the tub. I was very happy with the job he did. My sink and tub went from the 1950's pink to a more up to date white. I got to keep the great tub (hight quality and not plastic!), and for a lot less than a full remodel! I would advise anyone thinking about a remodel to look into this servie if they have quality fixtures, but only need them to be updated and clean.

I had a tub reglazed by them about 7 years ago, and paint is now flaking in spots. It is past the warrant period, but I expected much better durability for a tub that is used by one person. To have Heiden refinish again would cost $450 plus $175 to strip off the old surface. Another tub they did in another building looks good so far, but I'm not sure I can take the risk with having them do a new job.

Randy and his son walked me through the process gave me good advice from my perspective. He gave me realistic expectations of the result. Randy is extremely personable and knowledgeable about this kind of work. They came back on Saturday and went above and beyond that morning. I am very grateful for the work done and the terrific follow through on Saturday. I will use them in the future and recommend them to everyone.

He is fantastic I would recommend him to anyone. We did have to wait a couple months but his work is worth it.

Tub and Tile look great, but not a professional business, will not be calling Heiden in the future!!!

He called to let meknow he would be a little late, very professional , he had to come back 3 days later to finish the caulking around the tub, that also went quite well

He is thorough, timely and overall a pleasure to work with. People who see the bathrooms always ask how I got my old tub looking like brand new.

They offered excellent service, a good price, and good quality! The tub looks like new.

Randy did a terrific job on our old and worn tub. On the scheduled date, he masked the surrounding area, prepped the tub, and applied the urethane coating. He fully cleaned the area, completing the entire process in 4 hours. The result is beautiful and well worth the cost.

They did a good job, I was disapointed they were late to the appointments. I was happy with everything else they did. They were friendly, cleaned up after themselves, told me how to take care of it afterwords, and they did a great job.

Heiden did a great job. Prior to the purchase of our duplex a former owner or tenant must have used a heavy duty chemical to try and remove a clog. Instead they ended up removing a considerable amount of enamel one to two inches up from the bottom of the tub, all the way around the tub. Heiden came in and made it look like new. He explained that with so much of the enamel gone he would not be able to get it to the point where we would not be able to feel a slight ridge on the sides of the tub. They prepped the bathroom to make sure it would be clean when they left and they vented the bathroom as well. While we can feel a slight ridge like they said, it is barely noticeable and the tub really does look and feel like new. They did a very good job and we would hire them again.

They were prompt, explained the entire process and completed the refinish within the day. The tub looks magnificent! it is brilliant, white, and the worn areas have been repaired to (nearly) new. We have an old, long tub and I am happy to be able to keep it (and more happy about not having to remove it and replace it). Heinden tub refinish was exactly what we needed, and the quality of work was excellent.

They were very prompt and informative about the process. It looks great compared to the before. It was a very cost effective alternative to replacing the tub. The smell is strong!! but dissapated in a day. I would plan on not being there for a while after they leave. It has been 3 months or so and it is still looking good. Will hire again if needed.

Personally he was very professional and personable! The tub is beautiful and looks fresh and new in our 120 year old home. It was a delight to take a spa bath once the tub was finished! Randy takes special care to make sure his work area is picked up once he is done. I would highly recommend using him!

We liked Randy, and were overall very impressed with his work. When we moved into our house the bathroom was just short of a mess: short, outdated vanity, bulkhead fluorescent lighting, moldy walls because there was no fan, etc. etc. Over time, we have been slowly bringing this bathroom back into the 21st century and it looks a lot better. The last part of the equation was to reglaze the tub and tub surround, and this is what we hired Randy to do. For the most part, he did an excellent job—helped us find a tile setter on short notice to do a somewhat extensive repair (doing so really saved our behinds), reglazed the tub and tile surround so that it sparkles, cleaned up afterwards. The work was scheduled for a Saturday, but because we needed extra tile and drywall work, Randy could not complete the job that day (he reglazes tubs but doesn't do tile and drywall work). He subcontracted someone to do the repair work on Monday, allowing him to finish soon thereafter. To complicate matters, we left town Sunday for about a week, so if Randy hadn't hired someone so quickly, the tub would have been unusable for a long time. A lifesaver, for sure. Somehow, a screw to the diverter handle was lost, and even though Randy found a temporary replacement screw he said he would fashion (or find) a new one so that everything would be as it should be, he has yet to do so. He told us he would drop it into our mailbox so that we could replace it; he hasn't done this and, oh well, I guess I'm okay with it because he made the tub and surround look so nice. We did all this in preparation for selling our house. It sold quickly and I have no doubt that reglazing the tub contributed to its quick sale. So, we're quite happy; just wish Randy had finished that one small detail.
