Went very well. Window looked like a million bucks right from the start. Joe came back for a small amount of touch-up on the sidelight, then it looked great too. Very happy.

I called for somebody to come out and give an estimate and left two contact numbers. Didn't hear back so called again and again left the two numbers. Had my cell phone with me at all times and a message was left on home VM to contact them. The problem is,there are way too many people involved taking messages and not getting them right and not passing on information. I called to complain,yet again and did get a call back from Sonny,who said he was only given the home phone number and attempted to make things right,but by that time we had already gotten estimates from two other contractors with whom I had initiated contact on the same day,and we decided not to bother. There is an old adage "too many cooks spoil the broth" and it sure fits for this company.

Discussed project with the estimator and the estimate was done. Cost exceeds our coupon and additional costs are not in our budget.

The total price quoted was $23,000. I put a deposit down for half ($11,500). There was a disclaimer on the bottom of the contract saying that you could cancel within 3 days. I got another quote from a different company for $14,000. I immediately sent the contract back to get my deposit back & I received a check from the company for the deposit amount!

They were really nice but we ended up going with another company. The salesman came. He had a sample window with them. He took some measurements, gave us the estimate and showed us what the windows would look like, what kind of quality they were. He was really friendly. He knew a lot about the products. We didn't have any problems with them. They used a lower quality window than what we went with.

The deal was exactly as outlined. No pressure sales pitch, no critisim of competitors just through knowledge of the product and install process. Joe Martis the orginial contact was professional and went above requirment. His people found trhe cause of a leak thay roofers and maintainence supt. could not find or explain. The whole window was explained. The Installer Paul was always on time and very neat and careful------not even a flower distrubed in the process. Disposed of old windows, screens and blinds that was not even in contract. I would recommend these people to anyone and have already. John Cole

Not the lowest of the four estiimates which we received, but the best and most professional presentation of options and recommendations suited to our budget and the age of our home. The estimator (Sonny Shah) came twice to our home, provided carefully detailed explanations of options and specific recommendations, and answered all questions thoughtfully. We were very impressed by his knowledge, professionalism, and thoroughness. The work is to be done later this summer, and I shall update this review.

We did receive an estimate on replacing our roof. But, did not choose them to do the work. They provided too much information and took some time to receive a price for the work. The sales person was very professional.

Critiqued overall state of remainder of siding. Very professional. Liked them.

They did a fantastic job since the delivery of all materials, arrival of dumpster, despite the type of job is not a clean environment, they did keep all the areas clean and put away all tools and materials at the end of each day of work. People is extremely polite and willing to serve. One thing that I would like to point out is the fact that they went beyond what they have agreed for by paiting the chimeney without charging for it. I only provided the paint which I thought it was very nice from them.

1. Guardian provided a very high level of customer satisfaction. During the installation and upon completion, the sales rep came out and walked through all the work done and made a list of any concerns we had. The few items we had concerns with were addressed and fixed by the next day, to our complete satisfaction. 2. Guardian was very timely. They were always here when they said they would be, with the exception of 2 times. They called us on those occasions to tell us they would be a little late. Very considerate. 3. The work crew was very careful working around our landscaping, making sure to move anything that could get damaged out of their way. They worked hard every day they were here, even though it was extremely warm weather. They also cleaned up every night before they left for the day. 4. About one month after they completed the siding, we had some issues with our roof, which was completely separate from siding work they had done. We called Guardian and they sent someone out the same day. We were concerned because we had a leak, and we were getting ready to leave on vacation. The roofer from Guardian was able to make repairs and, upon our request, also replaced roof vents. The work was completed to our satisfaction prior to us leaving on vacation. We would not hesitate to recommend Guardian for any siding or roofing work.

The anticipated start date was April 15, and they started right on time. I don't recall how long the roof took all together, but I think it took two weeks to complete. Next was the tear-off of the outside of the house. They offered us a discount to tear off one layer ourselves, so we saved $1,600 to do so. The layer that we tore off was steel siding, and Guardian provided the dumpster to dispose of the materials. The layer beneath was wood siding, and they tore that off in about three days, and covered the entire house with Tyvek wrap, and then 1" of foam core insulation. There was one crew to do the roof, and then a separate crew did the house and garage. What we liked was that we got to know the workers pretty well by name since it was always the same crew. They cleaned up every day, which was critical to us because we have two young grandchildren staying with us for a few months, one of whom is almost three years old and plays outside all day. Anyway, they installed the trim first, and then the siding. While installing the trim, they noticed a huge area in a corner of our home where the studs and insulation had gotten so wet that the corner was in danger of collapsing. We knew that previously some work had been done in that corner, and we saw water spots from time to time on the inside, but we had no idea until they opened up that wall how bad the damage was. They took many pictures, explained what our options were, and repaired the damaged corner safely in three days. This extra work did cost us additional money, but imagine what the cost would have been if they simply sided over the rotted wood, which was supporting two more brand new picture windows (one facing either direction)! The workers, Paul, Scott and Karen, as well as their manager, Joe Martis, were very courteous and friendly to our family at all times. They brought their own cooler of bottled water each day, so they didn't even accept our offer of free beverages. The job was quite large, so it ran into June, but we were told of that back in April, so we knew exactly what to expect. It was not a good weather spring, so we were very happy with the length of the project. When the project was complete, they cleaned up every speck of scrap material, dust, etc. in our yard. We would recommend them to anyone with an exterior remodeling project. My wife still cannot believe the transformation of our 57-year old house. Now we have the landscaping ahead of us for next year. It was an excellent experience and we would happily work with them again. The salesman was professional and courteous, the installers were quick and efficient and the windows are amazing. It has completely changed the quality of life in our home. We are planning on purchasing at least four more windows from them this year and we always recommend Guardian to our friends who are thinking of replacing their windows.

My contact, Joe, was very easy to work with. He had an excellent knowledge of his products and his company. Once I decided to use Guardian Joe came to my place of work for all the necessary paperwork. The job start was delayed because of the weather (at the suggestion of Guardian so they could perform to their highest standards) but once started the contractors were on the job every day and went above and beyond my expectations. The job was completed in about two weeks and the job site was always cleaned up each night after they were completed with their work for the day. As problems arose (or were uncovered with the removal of the old siding) they would contact me immediately and we would solve the issues. The decisions that were made on the job were always made in the interests of quality and appearance rather than expediency. This is an area where Guardian excelled in my estimation. In many instances the way they chose to do things far exceeded what I expected. The contractors were professional and experienced. The job was completed and looks beautiful. It is quite obvious that the contractors on my job were very much interested in quality and excellence. This company exceeded my expectations in every regard and I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to others.

First of all, we called and it went to an answering service. Then we had to explain three times what we wanted done...it was simple (repair flashing around chimney). Then one of the three calls they asked if my wife would be involved. That did not seem relevant to getting a quote. Then they came out and refused to write an estimate. They said it was all priced individually and that they do not write estimates. We will not use Guardian since it took three calls to not get an estimate. If you want an estimate, this is not the company for you.

What I believe happened, is that they underbid the job to get the work and they can't do a complete job with the money that was offered. The roof itself looks alright, but all the finishings around the window don't look complete. What he is saying is that I just paid for the roofing and not the finishings. They did the work on the roof, tore parts of the house up, and then told me what I needed. The sidings from the wall is left open. On the back of the roof, you can see space where it should have been caulked. If it rains badly, it looks like rain will get through. He is saying that it would cost extra and now they're trying to put a lein on the house if I don't pay the balance. The problem was solved and I'm satisfied, thanks Joe.

Over all it was not what we expected. The sales rep came and was very helpful, and did not pressure us into something that was not in our budget. We were told that the windows would be installed in 4 to 6 weeks. He provided us with a few quotes and the clincher was if we bought during the special event we would get upgraded to triple pane windows and locked into the price. . So when we did the downstairs windows we would get them for the same cost and not the increased cost. We thought this was a perfect choice. It took a followup call from us to get someone out to measure the windows(two weeks after we signed the purchase agreement).Once they had the correct measurements they could put in the order. 6 weeks after they put in the order for our windows we called to check the status. I was told that they weren't in and that it was taking 6 to 8 weeks for orders to be filled (the manufacturer was backed up with a lot of orders). 8 weeks out (10 weeks after we signed the purchase agreement) we still didn't have our windows. Once the windows finally arrived they were very professional installing the windows. They were also quick, installed 7 in one day. They couldn't install the picture window because a double hung was sent. About 4 to 6 weeks later the picture window came, but after it was installed they discovered a crack in the inside glass. So a replacement glass was ordered. Finally in January it was replaced and the windows upstairs were finished. When they came to replace the glass we had them measure the remaining windows in the house to start the process, knowing how long it was going to take. When I got the quote for the windows it was higher then what we paid, which we thought we were locked in to the original price. We are currently waiting for them to return our call to let us know if they will honor the handshake agreement regarding the cost of the windows.

We found Guardian Exteriors to be an extremely professional organization which is probably not a description most people would think of when describing roofing, siding and window contractors. However, Guardian Exteriors not only demonstrated a high level of expertise and quality workmanship, but they did so in a context of listening to what we wanted and providing creative and positive guidance. It was the combination of a strong motivation to provide excellent service and results coupled with respect for us as the customer that put them in the unique category of being a professional organization to deal with. We had a very large project and solicited proposals from multiple contractors. While Guardian Exteriors did not necessary have the lowest bid, in the end, we are convinced that they gave us by far the best value for the money spent. We are confident that the guidance and superior workmanship received far exceed the alternatives we looked at ultimately providing us the biggest long-term bang for our buck. It is therefore our pleasure to highly recommend Guardian Exteriors to anyone requiring roofing, siding and window products and services.

While Guardian Home Exteriors was not our cheapest quote, after looking over the other bids we ultimately chose Guardian Home Exteriors because we felt as though we were getting far more for our money. With most of the other companies you could see that they project was much less detailed and they also did not seem as professional. Guardian Home Exteriors was ultimately the company that I had the most confidence could provide the overall result that we were looking for. The sales process was very low pressure, which was very nice, and our salesman was very informative. You could really tell he was trying to help us achieve our goals, and not just trying to sell us something. We went through some different options and, with his advice, we were able to choose the right project for us. The installation of the windows was excellent. The crew took the time to take care of our house and we could really tell that they cared about there work. There was one window that must have been particularly difficult to "trim" which I guess was because of an arch at the top. They spent twice as long on that window, and I even overheard two of the installer's talking to one another and saying after a little while "No, it just doesn't look good enough" and they took it off and did it again. That really made me feel good because I could tell they weren't just trying to get the job done, they really cared about what they were doing. The windows are great. Even with the few cold days we've had so fart this year, I can already tell that the house is warmer. And it's great to be able to open them again. I can't wait for Spring to come. The kitchen breakfast nook construction project went great as well. Guardian Home Exteriors took care of everything for us and even managed to do things in a way where we were really never all that disrupted by the project. They tarped off the area where they were working, and for the couple days where the concrete was setting up made sure that the house was secure and warm. I honestly expected this part of the project to be much more of an inconvenience, but the way the crew managed the project I almost didn't even notice they were their. All of a sudden the tarp came down and our new breakfast nook was there. The finished up the inside carpentry and trim and we were using it the very next day. On top of the professionalism of Guardian Home Exteriors that really stood out. The one thing that I cannot get over is how good of a job they did with the clean-up of both the window and the breakfast nook project. If I wasn't there myself, I honestly would not have even known there had been a remodeling project going on. I would confidently recommend Guardian Home Exteriors to anyone. I have already had them give me budget numbers for the entire roof on my home which I will be doing in the next year or so. After my first experience with them, I am not even going to bother calling anyone else.

In 2010, we decided to replace some old windows in our main level with newer, more energy efficient, and easier to clean window. We contacted a number of different companies to get estimates. Joe Martis came out and gave us an estimate and seemed to really know his stuff. When another company came in with a slightly lower estimate, Joe was quick to match it so we went with them. We liked their presentation and the fact that they were locally owned. After having those windows installed in 2010, we went back to them in 2011 for another set of windows to finish off all the windows on our main level. Again, they provided a good price. In both instances, they were very responsive to inquiries and acted in a timely and professional manner. Scheduling estimates, measurements, and installation was very easy and the job was done right, with only a few minor issues that were dealt with promptly and courteously. We also recommended Guardian to our neighbors, who selected them from a number of companies and are in the process of installing windows on their home. Overall, we would certainly recommend them to anyone who is trying to replace old windows.

From start to finish my experience with Guardian was excellent, every part of the whole experience greatly exceeded my expectations. I had multiple projects that I was interested in doing in my home. I had gotten many estimates from multiple companies and was extremely confused at why the prices varied so much, and who was really telling me the truth. Guardian came out to my home and was the only company that really sat down with me to ask me what it was that I was trying to achieve. I discussed many things with them that I really wanted to do, and others that I knew that I needed to do. Their salesperson was extremely helpful. He really took the time to listen to me and came back with multiple options and suggestions on what could be done with my home. We sat down again and he reviewed the differences in the options with me as well as took the time to answer all of my questions so that I really understood the differences between the options and what I was getting for what I spent. Because of how happy I was with the whole process, I not only chose Guardian for what I had originally called them out for, but I trusted them with all the exterior components of my remodeling project. When the time came for the project to start I found that the scheduling and installation teams from Guardian were just as courteous and as professional as my salesperson. I was kept in the loop the whole time during the project so that I knew what was going on. Being that I had such a large project the whole process took over a month, but I could tell the quality that I was getting was well worth the time. The only downside to the whole experience was when the installation crew ran into some very badly rotted wood which caused some unforeseen expenses. I can say that Guardian was again incredibly professional in this situation as they showed me what they had found, and again gave me options of what could be done to make things right rather than just cover up what they had found, which apparently happens a lot. The crew was excellent in cleaning up everyday, and they were actually a pleasure to work with. I have to say that they really made what initially seemed like a very frightening experience quite enjoyable. I never once felt put-out of my house, or like I was at the mercy of the workers, it was great. My house looks better than I ever could have imagined. Guardian really took my ideas and vision to the next level and far surpassed how I had pictured my home. Overall, I would highly recommend Guardian to anyone who is considering any of the projects that I had them do. On my home they installed all new siding with some stone work, new windows and trim, a new door, new gutters, soffit, and fascia, a new section of roofing, and some other small roof repairs. They also had to do some carpentry and insulation work when they ran into a badly rotted section of the house. They had different crews for some of the portions of the project, which specialized in their area of installation, and I can honestly say they were all equally professional, courteous, and great to work with.

I called Guardian as well as 5 other companies to give me an estimate for several projects and some repairs. I chose Guardian because they listened and helped me. They were the only company that asked me questions that I cared about and took the time to help me figure out what was best for me. I met with them several times and did not feel any pressure like I did from several of the other companies we got estimates from. The other companies all contradicted each other and they all said they were the best and their products are better than the others. I chose Guardian because I did not have to deal with all of the nonsense like the others and was very comfortable and confident with how they did things. Everything went pretty close to what was originally discussed. It was a big project and there was a few situations when things were taken a part that there was more damage than expected. I liked the way the supervisor stopped and walked me through my options and again did not force me or pressure me to do anything but gave me pros and cons and let me choose. There was a few delays with weather and some inconvienences because it was a big, messy job, but we are very satisfied. Everyone was nice and courteous and did a great job keeping things cleaned up at end of every day. There was a few minor things that needed adjustments at the end of the job but it was a big project and that should be expected. Everyone was helpful and concerned to make sure we were happy. We are planning on hiring them again when it is time for our next improvement project. We have already recommended Guardian to several others.

We replaced our entire first floor windows (11 windows) Most of them didn't open, and others had rotting frames, etc. and our picture window kept getting condensation. After scheduling an appointment with a Guardian representative, they came over to take measurements and showed us quite a few samples. Their estimate actually came in significantly under a Home Depot quote we had, and the products they offered were much better quality. It was low sales pressure which was nice, considering how large of an expenditure this was for us. Windows were delivered to our home in about 6 weeks and they were over the next day to begin installation. It took them a couple days longer than anticipated to install the windows, but we didn't mind - they took the extra time to get it done right. (we had a couple oddly shaped window openings due to a shifted foundation) They tracked down and matched the interior molding we had, and when they left, there wasn't a scrap or nail found anywhere. The weather protection system and trim on the outside was blended in nicely, and they offered all kinds of solutions, colors, and materials for that too. Will definitely call on them when we are able to get the 2nd floor windows done.
