Adam Overhead Door

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. We liked everything. They put on nylon rollers and we thought there would be a bigger difference between stainless steel and nylon. There was almost little difference. They were very informational and very thorough with everything. I couldn't really tell a difference and I thought it would be a little quieter.

Replaced all of the steel roller wheels on my garage door with nylon wheels. These wheels might have been a tad smaller than my steel ones, because after the service person left, I test the door a few more times and one of the new wheels fell off. I checked it out, re-bent the track and re-installed the wheels. It now works fine.

They did a good job and I had no issues with their service.

Prompt scheduling; came when expected, did the job exactly as advertised and expected.

Technician was thorough, quick and professional. A few months later, when I had a question about my garage door, the office staff was extremely helpful, investing much time and saving me considerable money. This company takes a long term relationship building approach to customer service.

They were great. They came within two days of my calling them....and were courteous and did exactly what I had expected.

I called Adam at 12:30pm on a Saturday to see when he could replace a broken torsion spring on my garage door. He was in my driveway within an hour and a half and forty-five minutes after that my garage door was working perfectly. In addition he offered to tune up the door and replace all rollers for less than what it would have cost me to buy the rollers from the local building supply stores. He was courteous and very professional offering free advice on keeping the garage door in tip top shape. Excellent service! I will not hesitate to call or recommend Adam for future garage door needs.

Great experience. Repairman came, adjusted the door, provided maintenance tips, and even showed me how to replace the weatherstripping on the bottom of the door. I asked about roller replacement and he indicated that mine were fine and didn't need to be replaced. Overall very happy and I would call them again in the future.

Overall the Job went satisfactorly. Thr Repairman arrived on time, was courteous and friendly. He did a good job making sure that everything worked as it should.

Technicion was very knowledgeable and professional. He arrived at time of set appointment and performed every thing that we were expecting and took care of few small items as well.

Seemed a good time for each to be inspected and "tuned up".

Don, the serviceman, arrived during the agreed upon time, in fact, he called me to let me know he was on his way. He introduced himself when he arrived and explained what he was going to do and got to work. When he was done, he gave me some helpful tips. Showed me the brackets to oil every six months or so to keep the door working properly. Showed me what to look for if the major spring broke and I couldn't open the door auto-matically. Best of all, I have someone I can call in the event of an emergency.

The technician came and evaluated the job and returned the next day to do the work. Everything was done to our satisfaction on a timely basis and our tenant is happy.

They were punctual and went right to work. They installed the new nylon rollers which made the door quieter and adjusted the spring for the door.

My garage door wasn't operating as smoothly as it once had, so when I saw this Big Deal that would inspect my garage door/opener and replace the rollers with ones that were quiet and wouldn't rust, I knew this was what I was looking for. Adam came and thoroughly inspected my garage door, replacing the rollers and giving me a report on the work he had done and the condition of the door. It now opens/closes smoothly and quietly.

Tighten the chain and oiled the doors. Fixed the tension and adjusted the door speed. They originally had scheduled a time and when they were late I called them to find out what time they were coming. There was a scheduling mishap but someone showed up in less than 2 hours and they sent me a coupon to have the tuneup done again. Great customer service.

Service was punctual and efficient. Work was done quickly and was given great tips on garage door lubrication.

The above services were perfomed with an online deal; then, when I was traveling overseas, one day the gate opened half-way and my wife backed up the car into the door. Murphy's law, anyone? Nevertheless, we contacted the guys and they helped her in the same day. It was an irony what happened, probably there was something wrong with the electric motor that opens the door but they were there promptly to help when we needed.

It went very well overall. He called me in advance of his arrival. He found that the opener had never been configured to stop when there was anything below it. Now that he's replaced the rollers and tuned up the opener, I can hear that it is running smoother.

Very knowledgable and willing to offer advice as to future potential issues and preventative work, which we will take him up on. Friendly and competent.

Scheduling the appointment went fine and they were fairly responsive. I asked that the technician call before arriving. The technician arrived without calling and when I mentioned that he was supposed to call first he said he hadn't been told that. He went to work immediately and was done 15 minutes later. He said he replaced the rollers but didnt give me any explanation of the tune-up or the safety inspection. I asked him about a safety concern with the placement of the sensors (something an inspector had recently told me, and one of the main reasons I had paid for the safety inspection). The technician said that yes, technically I should have the sensors repositioned. He showed no interest in doing this as part of the service, and he packed up and left right away. I am pleased that the new rollers seem to work fine and door operation is now quieter. However, I do not believe he did a thorough job of tuning up the door and I don't believe he did a safety inspection at all. He was here a very short time and only seemed interested in leaving as quickly as possible. I don't feel I got my money's worth on this job.

Garage door cable snapped in the evening and the door got twisted in the tracks, bending a couple of rollers and jambing the door. We could not manually open the door and thus our cars were stuck in the garage. I called Adam Overhead Door first thing in the morning (they were not even officially open yet) and I had a technician at my door within an hour. The technician was professional, courteous, and knowledgable about the problem. Garage door itselfs is 23 years old and needs to be replaced at some point. The technician was even able to answer my general questions about replacement options.

The technician came at the appointed time and was courteous. He completed the work timely. Initially it seemed that the garage door was going up and down fine but then it started to have sticking issues. He came back to do additional adjustment. It didn't really correct the problem and now the door makes a loud "snapping" sound as it goes up. It makes me worried that it's going to break. Will be returning to my original door repair guy.
