I hired Jeffrey with Due Diligence for my home inspection and was so pleased with his service. As a first time home buyer I didn't know what to expect or what to look for in an inspection. Jeffrey walked me through everything and explained it all so I could understand. Besides being extremely knowledgeable, he was prompt, thorough and friendly. With all of the stress that comes in the buying process, this was not one of them.

I first called Jeff several weeks ago after reading the great reviews on Angie's List. (We live three states away and were really glad to have Angie's as a resource!) Jeff took the time to explain his methods and pricing and once our offer was accepted, he worked with me on short notice to fit us in at a time both we and our realtor could be present. His website was very helpful in explaining his background and the experience he has to offer. We agreed ahead of time over the phone on a reduced rate because of our Angie's membership. Our realtor met him at our prospective home, (a ranch with basement), at 8 a.m. to let him in and by 10:30 a.m. he took us on a walk-through of the home to explain his findings. We found him to be extremely personable, professional, and thorough. He brought his own ladder and looked into every nook and cranny. He was careful to mention anything he could not get access to see and was very patient in answering all our questions. He emailed the detailed 80-page report (complete with photos attached) to us the very next day. It will be useful not only in the purchase process but also as a reference once we take possession of our new home. We would give him an A plus! Thanks, Angie, for helping us find Jeff!

Jeffrey provided a home inspection on a house we purchased. After he spent time performing his inspection, I met him afterwards and we walked the property and house as he reviewed his findings. Jeffrey was very detailed and took the time to explain his findings and answer any questions I had. The thing that stood out most is that he really enjoyed his work. Not to mention he offers Pre-Listing Walk Throughs and took the time to walk through our existing house to address any areas of concern as we prepared to list it for sale. Highly recommend him to others.

Thank goodness Jeffery was able to fit us in for an inspection! We were crunched for time and he worked with our schedule. Jeffery arrived almost 3hrs before us to start the inspection and spent an hour with us reviewing what he found. 4hrs!! Jeffery is patient, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. His reports were thorough and professional detailing everything from dirty vinyl siding to safety violations. He could look at a job and tell you if the homeowner did it or a professional. We were very satisfied with Jeffery of Due Diligence and will be recommending him to everyone we know.

When we first talked, Jeffrey helped us to understand the home inspection process. He arranged to meet at the house a few hours ahead of us and was prepared when we arrived. During our walk through he not only pointed out areas of concern but he also talked about different features of the house that we were not familiar with. His written report was provided the following morning and included many pictures as reminders of what we had seen the day prior. The report also has each area of concern called out in the beginning for easy reference. A few days after the inspection we had questions and he was available via phone at our convenience. We have and will continue to recommend him in the future.

While I've hired a number of home inspectors over the years to inspect various properties, I can honestly say none appear as qualified at Jeff. Rather than having worked in the trades as many inspectors, his background is in forensic investigation regarding fire cause, product failure and building collapse. His reports are very detailed, yet his explanations were down to earth, easy to understand and his approach is realistic. I felt very confident in his findings and have already recommended him to other family members who are also looking for homes.

Jeffrey spent over two hours inspecting a two-bedroom condo. After his inspection, he walked us through the condo to explain all the things he found during his initial inspection. He then provided a written report detailing all that was covered during our walk-through. The report contained EVERY issue he found during the inspection and rated each issue so we knew what issues needed to be addressed prior to closing. Issues ranged from a loose electrical outlet to improper breakers in the fuse box. He talked to us using clear language so we were able to understand his findings.

We were looking at purchasing a second home in Wisconsin and hired Due Diligence to inspect the home we were considering. With our primary residence out of state we really relied on Due Diligence to inspect the home thoroughly in our absence. The report was so detailed and our inspector, Jeffrey Knurr, was patient with us going over all of the results; best money we ever spent!

Jeffrey had inspected the home that morning and we walked throughout at a set time that afternoon. He has all the details arranged outside and in so the walk was purposeful and informative. He was very thorough and he gave clear recommendations based on his expertise. He also added feedback that was important and he placed himself in the role of home buyer which helped all communication.
