Description of Work: I needed a new hot water heater. They recommended the size and type I needed, installed the new one, and hauled away the old one. They instructed me on how to set the new one. They also did some work on some leaky faucets in the shower.

Description of Work: They cleared a very clogged drain in my kitchen sink and also fixed a toilet that wouldn't stop running. This was the second or third time I've used them, and they've been consistently excellent. Prompt, courteous and reasonable. I would not hesitate to call them again in the future--definitely my 'go to' plumbers.

Description of Work: They fixed a leaky bathroom faucet trap and also fixed a cracked drain pipe in my kitchen. They did an excellent job with the plumbing and left the work area in good condition (no mess left behind). I would definitely use Taagen Plumbing again (Their name has been changed to Viking Plumbing).

Description of Work: We had a blogged drain from the disposal. The plumber checked in the basement and the determined he could clear the drain from the kitchen. He worked quickly and made sure the drain was full clear. We have used this company before but they have changed their name to Viking Plumbing since. People had trouble pronouncing th sir name, but it is still the family run business as before.

Description of Work: Outdoor faucet would not turn off; I was losing a great deal of water and could not turn the faucet off. I called the emergency number and received wise advice, thus was able to temporarily turn the water off for the evening and night. I received a call as soon as the office opened the next morning and an appointment was scheduled within a few hours to provide the new faucet and to turn the water back on. I was very pleased with the service and I would certainly call this provider again for any future repairs needed. I was so relieved that they were available to help me with a problem that seemed massive and unsolvable at the time.

Description of Work: Tub/shower faucet handle would not turn off. First visit turned off water at faucet (no shut off valve). Picked new faucet and they installed and also put in shut off valve - had to cutt opening in closte and covered with a plate. They have doen numerous otehr jobs including replacing a shower stall in the past. They do excellent work of the highest quality. I would recommend them highly. They are my plumber of choice.

Description of Work: I had a hot water tank replaced, however he could not do the work until the chimney was vented , he took care of calling them and setting up an appointment and them as soon as they were done, he came and replaced the water tank. he did a great job and I would use this company again. Description of Work: Upstairs shower handle could not be turned clear off, so shower head leaked all the time. Downstairs shower had grown extremely stiff and hard to adjust. Julian Taagen arrived on time, changed into clean shoes before he came into the house, asked a few questions, and went directly to work. Partway through, he said the downstairs faucet was very old, and the manufacturer (Kohler) charged over $400 for a rebuild kit; what did we want to do? He offered several alternatives; after discussing possible future developments, we decided to go with a complete cleaning, relubrication, and replacement of some inexpensive parts. He was finished within the time the scheduler had estimated, and said not to send in my report to you until I was sure the repair was satisfactory, Both repairs are completely satisfactory. I would recommend the company without reservation. It was perhaps a little more expensive than some, but the peace of mind is worth it. PS I checked his figure for the Kohler rebuild; other companies quoted the same price. PPS There was one extremely negative report on this company. Mr. Taagen did not think they had ever received a copy of the negative report, though he thought he knew who it probably was. The negative report said the company had charged extra because of the high demand, due to the torrential rains which had flood much of the city. Mr. Taagen said that was because every employee they had was working extremely long hours and was paid overtime because of that. The company did not get the extra money.

Description of Work: Taagen completed two different services at two different locations. We dealt with two different individuals and found both to be professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Taagen had parts readily available on the service truck. We have hired them for a third project and will continue to use Taagen as our go-to plumber. We highly recommend Taagen.

Description of Work: Taagen responded in a very timely manner to a sewr back-up. They gave a set time they would arrive and actually came earlier then their estimate. They snaked the sewer drain and replaced some pipe that had deteriated.

Description of Work: Replaced two rotting pipes with new copper pipes. Also unclogged a nasty drain and replaced some drain pipes under the kitchen sink. All for under 300 and he was early to boot! Will use these cats again and again....
