Very good! i have hired them several times and I will recommend them.

We were our own GC for the basement remodel. That meant creating a schedule and having multiple visits by Viking’s plumbers. Their team was awesome with every step. From providing detailed and line-item estimates to fitting us in with their other jobs and arriving when they said they would. This is a general review. We have used Taagen/Viking for many years for our plumbing needs. We have been very happy with all of their services.

It couldn't have gone any better. There were some unexpected hiccups in the process but Jesse handled them excellently. They were professional, on time, thorough, and everything you hope for when hiring a plumber. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone who needs work done.

Viking was very responsive! They did quality work and price was very fair.

Instantly diagnosed the problem and fixed it within minutes

The work proceeded smoothly, the team showed up on time and quickly assessed the work to be done and split up to begin addressing the various issues. One of the drains to be unclogged was an old drum trap. The suggestion was to replace it with a modern P-trap. The cost of this was prohibitive, so they offered to remove the trap and properly cap the drain. This was not an issue for us since the tub it was connected to is not used. He also provided an estimate to replace the drain, should we need to reactivate it.

We have used Viking for prior routine plumbing issues. When we started thinking about adding a basement bathroom with a soaking tub (a bit more complicated), Viking was a company I definitely wanted an estimate from. Our General Contractor had "a guy" who could do the plumbing, cheaper. When it comes to a complicated job like this one, I want someone who knows what they are doing at the outset. We decided we wouldn't do the project unless we could afford to hire Viking. Many times during the project we said we were so glad Viking was on the job. They spent time thinking about how the tub connection would work in the basement. They were fast and efficient at getting the city inspector in to keep the project moving. When we ran into problems, such as a cracked sink, they came back as soon as we had replacement parts. They had reliable communication with the GC. When we thought the tub drain was getting a bit stuck, they came back to tinker with it. All of these things were included under the initial estimate--no surprises on cost. A further consideration was that much of the time the project was going on we were at work. I felt comfortable having the Viking crew in my home. They had the code to our door and gave us good information about when they would be here. Every reno project has some surprises, and I was grateful I had hired a company who could adapt to issues, maintain communication, and come back in a timely manner when problems were resolved. No regrets!

It was a small job but I was very satisfied with the services that Viking Plumbing provided and would definitely hire them again.

Excellent I bought a DW from a big box store and had them install. Big mistake. The big box retailer knew the DW install was defective and shoved wadded paper towel under the ne DW to stave off evidence of a leak, for the short term. Once DW flooded basement, Taagen, also called Viking Plumbing, identified the issue....and also replaced a valve that the other installer broke. These guys are pros. And thoughtful.

Excellen. Professional. Careful. Thoughtful. Used tarps, careful not to scrape floor. Good work. Trustworthy, ethical.

The representative over-the-phone was fantastic, kept me up-to-date as a plumber fit a visit to my condo in-between regularly scheduled appointments. Both the plumber and the representative took my work schedule into account in order to help me. They even waived any fee associated with a last minute, rush service. This will be my go-to plumber for all water and gas services going forward!

I was very pleased. They (now called Viking Plumbing) promptly sent a person out to assess the situation. I received a written quote the next business day. The service call was arranged for a few days later. Two people promptly appeared at the scheduled time and worked for 2.5 - 3 hours. Great job!

By the way, Taagen is a Norwegian name, maybe difficult to pronounce, so they recently changed their company name to Viking Plumbing. Corrected the leak and replaced the frightening Peck tubing that was nearly ready to explore. Professional, polite, intelligent family (we learned) of plumbers.

Extremely professional and fair. Was unable to fix on the first visit (on a Friday), but came back early the next week to complete the job. No issues since the visit.

Our experience with them was excellent. We had called them with kind of an emergency repair the day after thanksgiving. A lot of other plumbers did not even answer the phone but they not only answered the phone but got someone out there the following morning on a Saturday.

It as fine. The guy did what he could do. It was one of those projects where to replace the valves that were leaking would have been not cost effective so he just added a gasket on the valve to let the air out. So he ended up not doing much for $90. He is good. I did like them. I understand that they have trip costs or minimum charge to come out so I didn’t feel like I was squeezed or anything like that. The responsiveness was very good. They were early.

Taagen (a/k/a Viking, their new name) have been my plumbers for several years and I'm extremely happy with them. I was having my tub refinished and Randy, the tub refinisher, asked that the drain be replaced. The old drain had rusted shut and to refinish around it would only invite problems in the future. It seems that to refinish properly, you need to be able to remove the drain and that wasn't possible due to the rust. I called Viking and they were able to fit me in the next day, which was much appreciated. Matt, my usual plumber, arrived on time and got to work. He took the time to explain to me what he would do and why it was necessary to do so much work. The bathroom dates from 1898 and Matt thought that the drain was probably original. He needed to replace not only the drain, but also some of the surrounding pipes. I think that Viking may charge a little more than some of the others, but I've always found their work and their customer service to be excellent, so I am happy to pay for quality, peace of mind, and a pleasant experience.

I called and they were available that same day because of a cancellation. Everything went smoothly. Matt was incredibly helpful and efficient. He came prepared and did a great job. Wonderful experience with this provider

Taagen squeezed us in their schedule today when our 17 year old hot water tank went out last night. It's Friday so we were so appreciative that this could get taken care of before the weekend. Chris, Dave and Julian were here right at 1pm just as Peg stated they would be. By 3pm we had hot water again and better water pressure in our upstairs bathroom sink since they discovered a clog which sometimes happens when the tank gets changed out. So a HUGE thanks to Taagen - now named Viking Plumbing - for being so efficient, professional and just super nice to deal with today!

The technician arrived early and completed the work efficiently and neatly.

It went terrific. We called on a Sunday night and they were able to come out first thing Monday morning because they'd had a cancelation. The workman was prompt, clean, and professional. We asked some questions while he was working, and I mentioned that we had read on Angie's list how the Taagan workmen were willing to tell you everything they were doing and explain the whole process as they worked. He laughed and said that explained a lot. Turns out they are willing to answer any/all questions, but the work will go a LOT faster if you ask your questions before or after, but let them actually concentrate on the work at hand, while they are working. One of the things that was very important to me was that had an auger large enough to clean out our 4" drain, all the way to the walls. Most places only have a 1.25" bits. Normally, we have to have our drain augured once a year in Sept. We have 2 mature trees growing over our sewer pipes, and the roots are invasive. We had to find a new plumber last year. The new guy was inexpensive, but with his 1.25" bit he was only able to drill a hole through the middle of the roots. Our drain was clogged again within 4 months (over the winter!) So I was thrilled to find out that Taagan could auger up to an 8" pipe. They are our go-to plumber now!
