Joe understood. I told him I would be away from the house until 5 or 5:30 p.m. He asked me to call him back when I returned. I called Joe at 5:15 p.m. He said he bought a new diverter and would be available to come over right away to fix my problem. I was surprised, but pleased. By 6 p.m. the problem was fixed, the shower area was cleaned up, the bill was presented to me, my check was given to him and he left my home. The process was painless and most appreciated.

I called Joe in the morning and described what we had happening with water coming up in the basement floor drain when the water in the house was used. He told me it was most likely a clog in the main sewer line to the street and explained how the drain system in a house works. Joe gave me a window of time when he could be to the house. Joe called me at about 11:00 and said he was a half hour away but he was on his way. He showed up promptly and after we found the main cleanout, he explained to me what the cost would begin at and what it would be if it required more time. With my go ahead, he proceeded with his work. He was meticulous about cutting and laying out protective cardboard on the floor of our finished basement and very shortly went to work on the issue. My office happens to be right near where he was working so he explained what he was doing and how it was progressing. In less than an hour and a half, he had the situation resolved and he was cleaned up and ready to go. While he was here, I had him explain how he would approach another issue I am dealing with and he took the time to explain the approach and the improvement that would result. I will be having him back for that work. My sister-in-law had the same thing done at their house two weeks earlier by a different firm and it cost her nearly $1,000. When she heard about our experience with Joe, she was sold too and will be using him in the future. It isn't always about the money, Joe is a very competent plumber and a professional. Her experience was like watching the blind leading the blind which equals hours of work as opposed to Joe's incredible efficiency.

Very well. He was at the door within 3 hours of the initil call. He surveyed the problem. He had the parts with him due aconversation we had on the initial call. Went right to work replacing the pump and completed the work within two hours.

The owner Joe came out and did a very comprehensive job. He used a much larger attachment than the other company and found a lot of root growth which he cleaned out to a 4 inch diameter. He then took a lot of extra time washing the roots all the way out of our line and into the main sewer. He then cut out a section of pipe from our kitchen sink to the basement and put in a pipe that would allow access to be able to clean this out as well which was also done. We also asked about repairing a leaky nasty pipe from the toilet to the basement which was leaking. Joe told us the pipe just looked bad and the issue was the seal around the toilet. Since we need to replace the toilet and the vinyl floor he said it would be a waste of money for him to replace the seal if we were going to replace the toilet and flooring in the near future .Someone else would have just fixed it and took the money. Joe explained everything that he was doing and showed us the work when he was done. He also did a quick temp fix for no charge on a faucet for us as he didn't have a plastic part with him. We would use him again and would suggest to anyone needing a master plumber to look no further. We have had very good luck using Angie's list and Value plumbing ranks right at the top! There's a reason his reviews are so good. One final note, he gave us a nice discount that I neither asked for or expected.

We purchased the disposal unit and this company removed the old unit and installed the new one. The plumber was very careful and kept everything clean and dry. He even put on shoe covers when he arrived so that he would not get the carpet dirty when he walked to the kitchen area. He explained the removal process as well the installation process. He was carefull when he removed the trim around the drain. It was the same color as the sink and we preferred to have it reinstalled rather than use the chrome trim that came with the new disposal. He cleaned up everything when he was done and took away the old unit. He explained the features of the new unit and also ran a quick rinse cycle in the dish washer to ensure that there were not any leaks and that everything drained properly. He was done in approximately 1 hour.

Great experience. We easily agreed on a date/time over the phone. Joe arrived on time and worked efficiently. When it became clear that he would't be able to complete the job in one day, he gave me a very reasonable price on the first three drains, then returned the following day and quickly cut and reconfigured the fourth drain for another very reasonable price. He cleaned before leaving. I will contact Joe again if I need a plumber.

Another plumber told us we wouldn't be able to remove the toilet, but Joe was able to remove it and complete his work. He did it in a reasonable amount of time and charged a fair price. He's experienced and ethical!

We decided to fix our leaking kitchen faucet on Sunday afternoon. Since there was no water shut off below the kitchen faucet, it was necessary to shut off the water at the main valve. When we turned the main valve back on, it began leaking profusely. Even in the shut position it was spraying water. I frantically searched Angie's List for a plumber with emergency service. I decided to go with Value Plumbing because Joe was the closest. I got a hold of him with one call. He told me he was out of town in Racine for the day, but would try to talk me through fixing the valve. He gave me instruction over the phone, but I was unable to get water to stop. He then made the decision to come back to Milwaukee and see if he could fix the leaking valve. He showed up later that afternoon and was able to stop the leak in a manner of minutes. He told me the valve is stripped and will need to be replace and gave me a ball park quote. He refused to take any money. He will be coming back to put in a new valve as soon as he has an opening in his schedule.

We called him and he came over the next day and fixed the toilet. He wore protective covers on his shoes each tme he came into the house. He also explained what he had to do and did the work in a very timely manner. He also qouted us a price and stayed within the price he quoted us. He looked at some other work that we may need to do in the future and discussed that with my husband in detail. He was very professional. We would use him again and we would also refer him to our friends and family. Thank you Joe!

Value Plumbing was called to one of my rental properties to clear a bathroom sink drain. He arrived on time and put and quot;bootiesand quot; on his feet to avoid getting anything dirty. He got to work quickly. He was able to thoroughly clear the drain of hair, located further down the drain, and which was the cause of the clog. He was able to show me the hair pulled out of the drain, and restore the drain flow to full capacity. While he was there, he check the other drains in the house and found the bathtub drain to be draining very slowly. He was able to thoroughly clean that drain as well.

Am very satisfied with the work performed and found the rate better than others out there. Would call them first next time a plummer is needed.

When I started to clean our basement bathroom, I heard the quiet hiss of water running in the toilet tank. Upon checking, I discovered that the water was not stopping completely when the flush valve was all the way up. Being fiercely independent, I turned off the water, removed the flush valve, and carried it to the nearest big box store, where I announced, and quot;I need one of these.and quot; I returned home with a flush valve exactly like the one I had removed. I installed it exactly like the old one -- several times -- but each time I finished, it leaked where the water supply entered the tank. A visit to the neighborhood hardware store netted me a different kind of washer, which resulted in a slower drip. But still a drip! In the meantime, I had been treating our really annoying, slow-draining first floor tub and sink with drain cleaners and boiling water for more than 2 months with little or no improvement. (We have really old plumbing.) It was time to call an expert. I called Joe on Monday, at which time he asked if it was an emergency, because he would not have time available until Thursday. Because what we had was more inconvenience than emergency, I appreciated his candor. I told him I would be home all day Thursday, and he promised to call back. On Thursday morning, Joe called and said he could be at our home in an hour, which worked great with me. He spent some time looking at the configuration of our tub and sink drains, and then used a flexible auger to clean them. He disappeared into the basement for a few minutes, and when he returned, the leak was gone! He also gave me some advice to help me keep those pesky drains clear in the future. With any luck, we won't need a plumber again for a long time, but if we do, I will certainly call Joe.

Joe came when he said he would, spend 2.5 hours working on the drains since one them turned out to be difficult , and he cleaned up when he was finished. I was pleased with his work and would highly recommend him to friends.

I called Joe on behalf of my elderly dad to see if he could take a look at the garbage disposal that had froze up. Joe was very busy that day but said he would try to get there in the early evening. He sure did try and was able to get the thing running again. Joe is honest and I would not hesitate to use him for any plumbing job. Thanks again!

I called Jerry early in the morning about my laundry tub drain being clogged. He came out a short time later and, using an auger, completely unclogged the drain. So glad I could now do my laundry. Jerry was very friendly and professional.
