Description of Work: Replaced carpet with laminate flooring

Description of Work: Angie's list is to grade people that sell services last I checked. I asked for a quote to install flooring that I already have. They don't install stuff unless they sell it to you. Get off Angie's list and stay in the yellow pages.

Description of Work: Installed sheet vinyl flooring in kitchen & pantry. Sent one guy who was very professional & completed job in 1 day. He moved appliances & other items to have rooms completely empty, prepped floor & did installation. When flooring done, moved everything back. Couldn't have gone better.

Description of Work: Repaired floor in 5 spots that were gouged. Had to cut out tiles and replace with new one's. Job went well. Showed up right on time and got to work. Was very nice to deal with and would hire them again.

Description of Work: We replaced our carpeting that was 30 years old. We went to the Loomis Road Store and our salesperson was Jennifer. She was very patient with us as we were overwhelmed with all of the choices in carpeting. Because we are planning to move in the next 5 years, we chose remnant carpeting. When the person came out to measure, we were told there wasn't enough on that particular roll of carpeting. Jennifer immediately offered a better carpet remnant in almost the same color. They discounted the difference of the carpet we chose, with the carpet that we would upgrade to, by 50%, which we thought was fair. When Jennifer emailed us the estimate, we had questions. She broke down the estimate to detail all the billing. She was extremely patient with us. There were 3 installers, one being a lead person, Chris. We noticed a color difference in the attached dining room carpeting that was adjacent to the living room. We called it to Chris's attention, as he was handling the "waterfall" stair covering that we requested. He stated that even tho the carpet was the same dye lot, sometimes carpeting would have a different color that would be a mill problem. He immediately called the owner, who told him to come back the next day with another piece of carpeting and replace the defective colored carpet. Chris did a beautiful job on our 14 stairs that lead to our upstairs. They were labor intensive with the waterfall effect (being covered over and under each step. After coming back the next day, the carpet was changed in the dining room and we were extremely happy with the whole experience. We would highly recommend Stu's Flooring to everyone!

Description of Work: I had Dean from Stu's come out for an estimate and he spent quite a bit of time with me in the store, showing me options. Their selection is great. The installers did a wonderful job. Over a year later I had an issue with some of the wood flooring starting to bulge up. I called them and they quickly came out and fixed it. That's what I call an excellent company!

Description of Work: Hardwood floors in living room, family room and office. We wish the sales person, who was very knowledgable, would have given us a heads up on how difficult it is to keep very dark hardwood clean, especially with a dog. In retrospect we would have chosen a much lighter finish. It took approximately 3 days to finish the project, so we went out of town during the process. Upon our return, the floors were almost impossible to see because the installers did not clean them up at all - they were covered with dust, footprints, etc. they left no cleaner, so we rushed out to the hardware store to buy some product recommended by the clerk (it was late on a Saturday, so Stu's was closed). It took three cleanings to get it looking like it did in the showroom. Decided the price was rather high after talking to other people who had hardwood installed, but read such good reviews beforehand that we went with Stu's. Looks great now, but still very hard to keep clean.

Description of Work: Vinyl installation in a small bathroom. I'm selling my house this year and didn't want to spend a lot of money on updating it. Sales person directed me to their remnant vinyl flooring, which was affordable. They were able to install on a Saturday to accomodate my work schedule. The installation went well and the bathroom floor looks great.

Description of Work: I ended up not having flooring put in due to cash shortage on my part, but they were wonderful. They came to my home with lots if samples and were very knowledgable and professional. Once I save up more money I will definitely be going with them to put in new hardwood floors.

Description of Work: I bought a specific kind of carpet that needed someone to install it that had worked with this type of carpet before. Although they were good they did not know how to install this type of carpet. I paid the $50.00 for the padding they installed.

Description of Work: Started working with Stu's and I set a budget of 10k. I was told that was feasible. Received a quote and as soon as the owner came to walk the site the quote doubled. A waste of 3 months in finding new flooring. Unfortunate because everyone was very pleasant.
