Stu's Flooring

The installers were punctual. The quality of the job was very good. The only flaw was the omission of sealer in some of the tile joints.

Excellent. We spread the installation over 3 days so I could move furniture around. All worked out well. The installers, Bonnie and Joe, were very professional and did an outstanding cleanup job.

We went to the store on Loomis road to start the process. Then the sales man came to the house to measure, then he went back and called with the estimate. When he got the estimate my husband told the salesman about the coupon, and was told he would have to bring it back down to the store. Would have expected to get a detailed written estimate at the time the salesman came to the house rather than a figure over the phone and thought he should have taken the $50 coupon off without our making another trip to the store. The price for the quote was high compared to another company we got off of Angie's List, which is why we didn't go with Stu's despite their very high rating on Angie's.

I spoke with a man who said an estimator would be calling me back to schedule a time to come to my house. I never received a call from the estimator.

Jeff, the salesman was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The installers were on time, polite, and very helpful with giving advice on other non-related floor issues I was having. The carpet is beautiful.

First of all, I really like the new floor, it looks great. But there was some sloppiness; a small piece of molding was added at the end of a longer piece, and maybe it was hammered too hard but the one end does not butt up with the other as it is dented inward on the end. Also a metal register cover was put back on upside down, I had to redo it. It was brown with brown screws but when they reinstalled it they used white screws-looked crummy, but I touched up with paint. Not that major. The reason a C for price; the floor itself was on sale, 4.99 per square foot installed. That was a great price. But the two laminate trim pieces I needed cost as much as the entire floor. I was charged 125.00 to have the four foot wide edge of the carpet that bordered the flooring re-attached by a special carpet person; took only 20 min so I think the cost was kind of high. But he did do a very nice job! Even this small job, he took great pride and care in his work. He must be the reason for Stu's A's!

We met with Nancy at the store and found her to be pleasant and very helpful in meeting our needs. We shopped around and decided to go with Stu's even though we could have purchased through the condo and saved $200 for a similar grade of carpet. John came to our place to measure and provided an accurate assessment of the room dimensions. Carpet was scheduled to arrive at Stu's on 7/31, a 2-week leadtime. It arrived 2 days late and was installed on 8/3. To their credit, they followed up with us to keep us apprised of the developments and were at our home at 7 am- 2.25 hours later, the job was completed. The installers were efficient and focused on the job at hand. Most important, no damage was done to our freshly painted woodwork. I appreciated the care with which the transition to the kitchen flooring was handled. It has been 3 weeks since the install, and the flooring is holding up well and looks nice.

They put quarter round around the molding for me and installed the flooring. They did excellent service and I would hire them again. They were here when they said they would be. They were very professional. The people at the store were very helpful and very nice. They were very cooperative and went out of their way to answer any of my questions, and I would highly recommend them.

Lauren at Stus really knew her carpet, and gave me a variety of options within my price range. She knew which carpets would be best for my high traffic, well-used family room. We discussed warranties and durability, and what I should do to keep my carpet looking great for years to come. There was a small snag in that she forgot to quote a padding upgrade, but in the end, she did not charge me for the upgrade since it was not part of her quoted price. She could have done a better job letting me know which days she wasnt in the office. She never mentioned on Monday that she was out on Tuesday and that was a bit aggravating. In the end, she was able to meet my price and my tight installation timeframe. Stus Flooring subcontracted another company to do the installation. They did an absolutely beautiful job.

I cannot complement them enough. Everyone at Stu's was wonderful to work with. I was especially impressed with the installation team. They were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and tireless. I will definitely buy from Stu's again, and will definitely request Nick and Andy from Premier Floors to do the installation.

Ray (salesman) and Dan (installer) did an outstanding job. All of our calls were returned in a very timely manner. Both Ray and Dan were polite and took a lot of pride in their work.

Nancy at Stu's was fabulous to work with. We explained that we are getting our home ready to sell and she helped to direct us toward carpets of good quality but moderate price. Installers John and Dexter were excellent, very professional and went above and beyond to give us a super installation. We'll definitely use Stu's and request John and Dexter for installation on future flooring projects in our next home.

OVERALL, EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD, I WOULD DEFINITELY PURCHASE FROM STU'S AGAIN.

Russ at Stu's was very friendly and attentive (borderline hovering-but he was to nice to tell him to go away). We had a tight schedule to work with so we needed to be able to pick out carpeting and have it installed in a two week window. The installers were very friendly, professional and fast - completed the install in 2 and a half hours. Not sure if price was high for what we paid since we didn't look around and compare to other retailers. Russ did suggest that we Scotchgard our carpet since we do have children and a dog. However, it specifically states on the Scotchgard can NOT use on carpet even though he said it would have no effect of the warranty. Not quite sure what to do and we certainly don't want to ruin our new carpet. I do feel that if they had measured the room and accounted for the way the installers were going to cut the carpet they could have saved us a couple extra dollars, although the savings would have been very minimal.

It wasn't a pleasant experience. We walked in on a Saturday morning -we were the only couple in the place. We explained we were looking for carpeting in the $30 a sq yard range(it's a basement after all). We were treated like second class citizens after that. Same Pad, same install, as good or better carpeting by another company.

I received excellent professional service from Nancy, starting with the first phone call. 0nce I came into the store to pick out flooring, the excellence continued. She was very thorough and informative. All questions were answered and I felt she gave me a good suggestion to go with a quality remnant piece, since I did not have a large bathroom. Everything was done in a timely manner from the first phone call to the completed installation. The installation was done by Tyler, and the finish product was perfect and very neatly done! This is very important to me. Tyler worked hard, and never stopped until he was finished. Everything was cleaned up when finished.

Nancy and the Sales manager made a home visit. They spent a lot of time discussing our options. We made two or three additional trips into the store. They ordered samples and larger samples when necessary. They were willing to take the time to help us update our knowledge about the various fibers, mills, etc. They were patient, friendly and professional. They subcontracted the installation and was satisfactory, and the men were quiet and efficient. They moved furniture carefully and agreed to installation on two different days to accommodate theater sound system wires. They promptly sent the installer back for a second visit to make a small adjustment. They have a more competitive price than two other popular North Shore carpet stores. Salesperson, Nancy, is a good listener and can help the customer sift through the choices to come to a decision. Stu's offers many choices in a variety of price ranges but will work with the customer to find the right higher-end carpet.

Damaged bottom of door to kitchen when removing it to lay vinyl floor. When the damage couldn't be repaired put a plate on bottom of door. Overall we were very satisfied with quality of work and the price was very reasonable.

THE CARPET IS BEAUTIFUL, AND THEY DID A GOOD JOB.

EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP AND ATTENTION TO DETAILS. INSTALLERS WERE ON TIME, FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL AND RESPECTIVE OF MY PROPERTY. EXCELLENT CLEAN UP. SALES STAFF AT THE STORE WERE FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL AND VERY HELPFUL. ASSISTED WITH BEST QUALITY FOR PRICE. FREE ESTIMATE FOR MEASURING.

SALES STAFF AT STU'S WAS EXCELLENT AND ACCOMMODATING. THEY ASSISTED WITH FINDING BEST QUALITY FOR PRICE. CARPET INSTALLERS WERE TECHNICALLY EXPERTS AND CLEAN UP WAS WELL DONE. HOWEVER THEY MARKED WALL PAINT WHEN REMOVING AND REPLACING THE CLOSET DOOR. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED HAD THEY TOLD ME AND I WOULD HAVE PROVIDED TOWEL PROTECTION. THEY ALSO NICKED THE BASE BOARDS WITH CLOSET DOORS. THEY DID THE SAME DAMAGE WITH THE ROOM DOORS. NO "SORRY" WAS SAID NOR COMPENSATION FROM STU'S, IN ADDITION THE ROOM DOORS DID NOT FIT OVER CARPET.

ALL THE WORKMEN WERE PROFESSIONAL AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY WERE ON TIME AND CLEANED UP WELL AFTER THEMSELVES. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN AND RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY.

THERE WAS MUCH CONFUSION ON THE PART OF THE SALESPERSON, LAUREL. HE PROVIDED 3 DIFFERENT QUOTES, DIDN'T HAVE GRASP OF THE WORK NEEDED. THEY INSTALLATION WAS OK HOWEVER, THE INSTALLER WAS NOT FRIENDLY TO MY WIFE AND THE DATES WERE CONFUSED FOR THE INSTALLATION. WE DECIDED TO FINISH UP WITH THEM ONLY BECAUSE WE HAD STARTED WITH THEM AND THE LENGTH OF THE PROJECT. THEY SEEM TO HAVE A LACK OF COMMUNICATION THERE.

BEAUTIFUL AND CAREFUL WORK. OTHER THAN MOVING SMALL ITEMS, I HAD TO DO NOTHING. WORK WAS SCHEDULED AT MY CONVENIENCE AND WORK STARTED AND ENDED EXACTLY AS EXPECTED. FLOORING I CHOSE HAS VARIOUS COLORS IN THE GRAIN, AND WORKMEN INSTALLED EACH PIECE WITH AN EYE TOWARD OVERALL LOOK OF THE PROJECT. THE TWO STAIRS REQUIRED REAL DETAIL WORK, AND WERE EXPERTLY DONE. CLEANUP WAS COMPLETE. FROM INITIAL CONTACT WITH STU'S (EARLY SEPTMBER) UNTIL COMPLETION OF PROJECT (OCTOBER 5), EACH STAGE OF THE PROCESS WAS HANDLED EFFICIENTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED.
