Jim Coster responded quickly to our request for an estimate. The estimator arrived the next day, took the measurements, did a walk-around our home outside to determine whether there were any odd conditions (we had one--one window is under a deep bay window in the dining room.) Jim followed up with a written estimate the next day. We faxed our approval back, he called the same day to schedule the job, and the crew arrived on the date and at the time promised. As noted above, the installation went very smoothly--especially considering that the outside temperature as around 20 degrees! The crew cleaned up everything afterwards, leaving the basement in good order. They also explained that the mortar needed 2 - 3 weeks to fully set/cure, and that we should avoid painting or finishing it in any way until then.

I called the company up for an estimate which they promptly came over and then mailed me a price quote. I had originally found them on the internet but was later recommended by Banner Builders who did my bathroom remodel. Because they use a newer technology, I called them as well as went to they showroom and I liked what I saw. Both companies coordinated when the project was to start so both would be present to complete the outside and inside work simultaneously. Security Glass Block also replaced a basement window in addition to the bathroom window. I love the technology of using silicon vs. traditional mortar (it has a cleaner look that I wanted.) Overall, very pleased and highly recommend.

This was the best experience we've ever had with any work done on our home! First of all, they honored the job quote they submitted to us two years ago. We were very impressed by their professionalism. When visiting their show room, they were very helpful, answering all of our questions and offering suggestions. They worked with us on scheduling the work according to our time frame. The workers showed up on time and were finished in approximately six hours. They were very pleasant when here and obviously knew what they were doing. They removed the old windows and clean up was exceptional. Bottom line, we love our new glass block windows and thank them all for a job well done!!

We went to their showroom and selected our favorite style of block. We were quoted a "ball park" estimate over their objections, as they wanted to see the location first. Two days later we had a written estimate (almost EXACTLY what the "ballpark" estimate was). Our acceptance was mailed. They called two days later to make an appointment. They installed the windows in one house one day and the other house the next. They were here when they said they would be, they left NO mess behind. Months have passed and I still cannot find even a small flaw in the workmanship.

Very professional, quick to get someone over to estimate the job. I felt the price was good, and after calling around and reviewing the different processes used, and considering some don't remove the old window frames, these guys seemed the way to go. They also have a really informative website. They came while I was at work, replaced the eight windows, cleaned up well after themselves and even reconnected the dryer vents. The costs reflected the estimate exactly. They windows are beautiful inside and out. A job well done.

Prompt estimate within a couple of days of call. Work was scheduled. Workers were on time, neat and professional. Work was completed in less time than anticipated.

Everything went very well with the installation. They came right on time and finished within the time frame I had been given. The windows look great and they cleaned up and hauled away all the old windows and even the window treatments that I said I wanted to get rid of.

Called on a Thursday for a quote and Jim came by the next day, and faxed a quote over the same afternoon. After another quote, made the decision to go with Security Glass Block for the job. The job was scheduled for the following Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday morning received a call that a previous job had been canceled and security could arrive in 30 minutes to start the job. When they arrived three men quickly went to work and had the first window opening stripped and ready for the glass block in less than 20 minutes. They were able to complete the job in one day. The installers were polite and efficient and you would never known they had been there. They did a very professional job. Security's quote was higher than the other company, but the other company was going to leave the old wood window frame, which had been wrapped in aluminum by the previous owners. We had already heard stories about basement windows being easily pushed in when installed in the old wood frame.

This is the 4th time I have used Security Glass Block and now all the windows in my home are done. The first time (1998), all basement windows were done for about $1200. Then over the years, I had them complete my bathroom windows and an entranceway window, and finally the kitchen. Each time, they were prompt, polite, professional, and reasonably priced. They clean up all their work and take all the materials with them. They give a free estimate and each time I called back (even a few years later), they had my file and could bring up past estimates and past work. I have referred them to many family members and friends. I would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic! Beautiful job! Very nice people, came on time when they said they would, did a very nice job, cleaned up very well after themselves and were very friendly, nice guys to do business with. Got their name from Angie's List and couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Work to be done at my rental unit. Received a quick estimate and all work done with just a phone call. The garage window and frame was completely rotten and had to be rebuilt( work that they could not see before removal of the old window). They had to run for extra parts for the rebuild, spent extra time for the work and never charged me any extra.

They showed up on time, did a good job, and cleaned up when they were finished. They also were very patient about answering my many questions before I decided to have the window installed.

The crew of three arrived after 9am. One worked outside and one inside, while the third guy did the finishing work after them. They'd explained what they were going to do prior to starting and gave me a preview of the windows beforehand. They told me they had to knock out the "sill" (for lack of better words) and replace it with cement. I was wary of this step, but it turned out to be more perfected and attractive than the original. They had been informed that my washer/dryer were new and that I was concerned about damage to them. Even though we did our share of kidding around, they were serious when it came to protecting everything in their work area. Upon completion, we did an inspection of the job together, to my utmost satisfaction. They cleaned up nicely, were professional, yet lighthearted. They sensed that I was a "perfectionist" and jokingly said, "I know you'll want to paint those sills, but you'll need to wait for 21 days"! Highly reputable! Outstanding job!
