Description of Work: I had a service window of 10am-1pm. Nobody showed up and I called the shop at 130pm and left a voicemail. I called back several times and did not get an answer. A service tech showed up at about 430pm when I wasn't home. I spoke with him over the phone and did not get a call back from the company. Very disappointed in the experience. I wouldn't have them out for service.

Description of Work: kept changing estimate amounts. I do not believe I got the angies list member discount, because they did not even know that I was a member until the work was completed and yet the invoice reflected the final estimate amount they gave me - so in other words the discount was not given to me, even though when I called them about this I was told that |it was applied - how is that possible, when the final estimate amount accepted was not decreased by any discount? some areas, [around garage |door, where materials were installed in place of the rotted wood that was taken off], has come slightly loose and my phone messages have not been returned.

Description of Work: My garage door was not operating with the remote. They determined the battery was fine and so was the opener mechanism. They did clean and oil the tracking and repositioned the sensors for more efficiency. I also had them install a keyless entry pad. Service was prompt, and as an added bonus they adjusted my back door which wasn't closing properly. Everything has been working fine since.

 + -1 moreGreat job. Same day service. Fast work and very professional and at a reasonable price. No complaint from me. Would hire them again. They even explained how to maintain the system and left me a can of lubricant so I can hopefully keep the old garage door for a few more years.
Description of Work: Emergency garage door repair. Our old heavy wooden garage door had snapped a cable causing the spring mechanism to shoot back and break the wood mount that it was attached to. I called Luebke and they came out the same day. They replaced the wood mount and replaced the cable and pulley system.

 + -1 moreThis was an emergent problem, as garage door stopped working on snowy day before Christmas Eve. When I called the original installer, they stated they were no longer in that business, but referred me to Luebke. I called and explained our predicament. They said no problem, they would put me on their list and would be coming that evening around 7 pm. I got a call about 6 pm to confirm they were on their way. They arrived in time and found I just needed a new capacitor. However, they also discovered that the actual door had a serious crack and was in danger of shearing apart at any time. They were able to bolt a metal brace across the top to re-in-force the cracked part - good enough to last us through this winter and make a less rushed choice of replacement in better weather. They also adjusted the door attachments to the opener, so that it moves better now.
Description of Work: Fixed defective capacitor in garage door opener. Attached supportive brace to cracked garage door.

 + -1 moreI had to leave a message on voice mail when I called that I was interested in an estimate. I never received a call back. They just showed up by my garage door about 1 week later. I wasn't sure who they were at first. They were the least expensive of 3 bids; however, there is a lot of phone tag because it's a small family business. There is no one at the office much of the time, and you have to make an appointment if you want to see their showroom. I called twice for appointments. No one met me the first time. The doors were locked. No one was there the second time, but when I called to say I had an appointment, I got a call back that he was there now. So I went back. At first I was going to get an Ideal brand door. They told me they had everything in stock and I could even have the door the next day. I decided to go with a cheaper brand and they told me they had to order it and it should come the end of the week. It took 3 1/2 weeks. However, they are knowledgeable, installed the door quickly and cleaned up after themselves. They're also very nice.
Description of Work: They replaced my old wood garage door with a steel, brown, flush Amarr with no insulation. They told me there's no point of insulation if the garage isn't insulated, and it's not. I also received 2 new remote garage door openers, and new closing brackets.

 + -1 moreThey did a very good job, but after the fact their was a leak so I called them about it. They were very good about coming back to get it fixed and they did it with no charge. I was very happy with their service and would recommend them to anyone. He also can do basically anything.
Description of Work: They replaced my two inch downspouts with four inch downspouts as well as raising them up from the ground and away from the house.

I have had to have some gears replaced in my electric garage door opener and the rubber stripping on the bottom of the door needed replacement, due to a little devil chipmunk adamant at getting at some birdseed that I had in a bag in the garage. They are very efficient in their servicing as far as quality of work being done and promptness in getting to their service calls.
Description of Work: I had a steel garage door installed by Abel Luebke overhead doors in 1999. They are very easy to work with and the workmanship is very good, as well as the products they sell.

Estimates on my garage door because if irregularities have been $1200-$3000. He gave me an estimate for everything for $555. Other folks told my neighbor 2 weeks to 2 months, and he is coming to do my neighbors door today. I will hire him for my garage soon.

 + -1 moreOur garage door ceased working on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, leaving us with no easy way to get our cars in and out for a 3-day weekend. The guys from Luebke not only showed up, they immediately replaced our old opener with a new one on the spot. They explained up front that the cost would be higher because of the holiday weekend, but at least we didn't have to take time off from work, and our problem was solved.
