Luebke Overhead Doors

Scheduling was easy, serviceman arrived on time, completed the work the same morning.

We’re extremely prompt; was a very cold day and garage door opener decided it no longer wanted to work. Replaced with no problem

I had an estimator come over to look over the project. He checked out the project and responded in a few days with a quote for the job. When the installers came over to do the work, they pointed out that an electrical line in the garage would prevent them for making the installation until this was corrected The old door was not operational; I needed to get this replacement made. So I asked to do the best they could and get the doors installed. When the conduit was moved to allow installation, it left powered wires exposed. I know I approved this, but why wasn't it included in the quotation and planned out ahead of time. It cost an additional $300 for my electrician to repair. After that, things seemed to go quite well for almost a year, Then in Nov 2016, one door failed to open. It was late so I waited to morning to schedule a repair. But it worked, so no appointment made. Then in December it failed again, and this time I made an appointment for a repair the next day. That morning the door was working again. So I called and it was agreed the appointment should be cancelled since it may not show the problem. Then in Jan it failed again and a second appointment was made. This time it didn't start working again. The repair crew arrived on time and checked the installation. They proceeded to tighten some bolts above the door. They also checked a tension adjustment on the two single door openers. One was set at 7,. The one controlling the door that didn't operate was set at 2. They adjusted it to 7 which they said was the normal position. A few days later I got a bill for the service call because they told me it was two weeks out of warranty. They did offer a discount off the normal rate. However if they would have checked their appointment schedule, they would have seen the second failure was actually in warranty period. I felt the the repair work they did to have been the result of a faulty installation. Why were those bolts loose above the door? Weren't they properly tightened at installation? Why was one door opener tension adjustment set so low compared to the other one? They were both the same make and model of openers, and the same garage door style. Did the original installers neglect to check this setting? I paid the bill and just wouldn't have them back again.

I called at around 11:30 am and told the girl who answered the phone( not very professionally I might add) that my oldest brother once worked for the owner and that he recommended them. I explained the problem and was told that she would make sure the owner got the message and that some one would be out to do the repair before 5 pm. My wife called me at work at 5 minutes after 5 and told me no one had come or called! I had her call the shop number and she said it was closed but was given a number for emergencies . She called that number and was told that no one had received the work order but, they would send someone out in a half hour. 45 minutes later a rep by the name of John showed up and apologized and discounted the service. This morning I received a message from the owners son who is the shop manager that the job was scheduled for today 7/27/2016 between 8am and Noon and that we got a discount when we should have been charged extra for an after hours repair. I never agreed to this set up and in fact was never told this. My work car was trapped in my garage and ended up asking a friend for a ride in to work on second shift. The owners son on the message made it sound like we lied to get it done sooner than it had been scheduled and that we ripped them off. I tried to call them back a number of times but both time it went directly to voice mail. I left a message explaining my side but still have not received a call back and it is now almost noon.

The scheduling staff and technician were courteous to both the tenant and me. Prompt and timely arrival as well as thorough repair. they suggested repairs instead of replacement of a system that is on it's last legs. While I felt the total $$ ultimately was more than expected I'd call them again--and likely will have to!

They were timely and went above and beyond. They identified another problem when they looked at it. They were attentive. I think it was a good price. It working well.

I called them on a very cold day and they showed up the next day as promised. I though they did a great job.

It was a fierce winter storm in January. My car was captive in the garage, when the door would not raise. I called and they came out the same day. They got in and replaced the spring in an hour and I was sprung!

After finding this "High rated" Angies list service i assumed that they would be able to help me with a repair of my garage door. Unfortunately i cannot say if they do good work, or are reasonable.... since they failed to show up or even call within the 3 hour time frame they gave me. I can understand if jobs run long, and the next job is delayed BUT!!!! at 12:15 i call their office to ask why i have not received a call yet from the service person, and i was told, with surprise that she would call him and ask why.... at 12:45 i again call the office, but this time, instead of the pleasant and confused, ready to help person i get an answering machine. It is now 2:00 and i am still wondering just what happened to that service person. Customer service is really something that should not be so difficult to understand. Luebke Overhead Doors does NOT understand, obviously! A simple call is all you needed to make, instead you choose to not call at all, or even try. UPDATE at about 330, yesterday evening a service person arrived at my door apologizing for the other driver and was unaware of what had happened to him. He completed the job and did good work, for this i will improve my rating of this job, but i still feel that it is unacceptable to leave your customers hanging.

We needed the spring in the garage replaced and they came out on the same day to do it.

all went well! called them several weeks later, after receiving confirmation of payment, to ask if the 10% angies list discount was applied, because on the estimate and the invoice it did not show the discount - I did mention that I was a angies list member and would like the discount. given an answer that just did not sound right. am not sure if I, in fact, did get the discount.

My husband had been fiddling around with the garage door for months. One of the wheels had worn out and he put in plastic washers, cardboard, spit, what-have-you. Finally, I had enough and called Luebke Overhead Doors because they were highly rated on Angie's List and the business was located close by. They came the same day, fixed the problem quickly, and charged me much less than I was expecting. In fact, I have passed their name onto a few other friends and given them rave reviews. Thanks.

After a couple of scheduling snafus, the work was done in a professional manner. I think the scheduling problems were mainly because they are so busy because they are so good. Their price for this job was amazing. I am still waiting for an inside door handle and they have the key to the left door in order to install the handle. Their installers worked quickly and answered all my questions on how to maintain the doors. I appreciate their good work and have already recommended them to my neighbor.

Absolutely fantastic. One of the springs to the garage door broke the day before the 4th of July. How convenient! I called Luebke on Friday July 5th expecting to leave a message and schedule service the following week. Jim, the owner, answered the phone and came out the same day to get the door functional until a replacement could be ordered. They were ready to install the new door in the morning the very next Monday, which to me seemed unbelievably fast. They were done in less than three hours for the entire tear down and installation. The door functions perfectly and two months out I haven't had a single problem. I would use them again with confidence. Highly recommend as they turned what could have been a major hassle into a very slight inconvenience. The price above was for the entire garage system and I found that reasonable.

IT WENT WELL, JIM EXPLAINED EVERYTHING & THEY WERE VERY QUICK TO RESPOND, WITHIN A COUPLE HOURS. THEY WERE THERE.

It went very well. I felt that were very courteous, honest, and punctual. They were very professional and explained everything that they were going to do.

Extremely well. All the work was completed in less than a day. Jim was very knowledgeable and helpful during the estimate. I had done some research about the door and openers available. He arrived on time listened to what I wanted and gave me the pluses and minuses for the options I had researched. He made his recommendations and went through the entire process. The door looks fantastic and the opener is much quieter and has more safety features than my old one. On the second day after the install I came home from work and was able to open the door but not close ot. I called Jim,it was after 6 pm, he came right out and was able to close it, but he also checked the door and opener. He found that the sensors at the base of the door were a little loose and could have been the problem. He adjusted them and checked everything else and the opener works just great now. His price was reasonable and competitive. I would recommend Luebke Overhead doors.

Awesome. My home and garage was built in 1890 so doors are usually odd sizes. That being the case he ordered a door to fit my garage, reinforced it to ensure no one could break into my garage and it is beautiful. So much nicer than I was expecting. Very professional, personable and wow a real pleasure to do business with. Will call him when I am ready to add the door opener.

Office staff did a great job handling our requests for information. Tech response was quick and accurate. Jim was a pleasure to talk with about options available for the garage doors. A couple of plastic inserts for the glass windows were scratched upon arrival and Jim ordered replacement inserts without us having to ask. Automatic garage door fell off its tracks, breaking the cables and a a couple of rollers. We called Luebke Overhead Door on a Sunday evening and they were at our house the next morning. Aaron and John replaced the broken cables and rollers so that the door would operate properly. They also adjusted the spring and chain tension. The door opens and closes perfectly now.

They replaced the electric eye and checked lubricated the roller on the door. The work was performed within half an hour. They have serviced this door several times over the last 20 years and are very friendly and helpful.
