Description of Work: This was a great purchase for me. Intec arrived on time and did a complete home energy audit. I already knew that I needed attic insulation, but the Intec rep also advised me on other areas where I could improve my home. Since Wisconsin has huge rebates for making significant energy saving changes to your home, and Intec is an Energy Ally, they can help me make the most of the rebates. I consider the money I spent on this audit an investment, rather than an expense.

Description of Work: A complete energy audit and a follow up written report. I specifically like that I used this service in collaboration with Focus on Energy. Along with the things that needed to be improved came a list of what it would cost, what part they would pay and how much money the improvement would save the homeowner. This is the way to go. Description of Work: They checked for energy flow in the house: things like leaks at windows, adequate ventilation, thermostat settings for humidity. Went well. Takes a couple hours, but gives you a lot of information if you are considering upgrading windows or A/C.

+ -1 moreTom the estimator was personable and on-time. Proposal was pretty much itemized as I had requested. Patrina in office answered a few of my questions but was rather brusque. Like other vendors who were bidding, Intec included one area of home which was NOT to be done. I spoke with Patrina and asked to have this broken out and the bid revised. She said she would get the revised info from Tom, but I never heard back from either of them. Intec's bid was much higher than either of the other vendors' bids. Tom did follow up several months later to find out the status of my project, which I had had someone else do in the meantime.
Description of Work: Quote for adding attic insulation, installing insulation in walls via interior drilling/blowing, and general air sealing of 1500 sq. ft. home (vintage 1950).

+ -1 moreGreat! Our Natural gas usage is down over 20% this year. They performed an air blower test to determine the air turnover rate in our home. They even came back the next day to tweak a few things to improve the air turnover rate.
Description of Work: The insulated the knee-walls in the attic storage spaces in our home. These spaces were a huge leak for heating and cooling. We were told that Intec is the only company that would do this kind of job well.
