Audit went great, he showed me where there was problems with my house, said walls were fine, but air sealing was needed in the attic. Was told I would get a report with pictures and quote by no later than end of the week (1-2 days). Got quote 8 days later, did not include photos as promised, included a quote for items I was told I didn't need, such as the wall insulation, and blown in insulation which is not needed. I requested a more specific quote (just the air sealing we discussed) and the pictures that were promised, 11 days later and still no response. I don't think I should have to pester and beg to get a proper quote. If they do not want my business, that is fine, I got the information I needed, and find someone else to complete the work. I was impressed at first with the original home visit, but very disappointed with the follow-up

Angelo arrived right on time and performed a very thorough assessment of the energy efficiency of my home, including the attic, all windows and doors, walls, ceilings, basement sill plates,and furnace. He explained all findings as he went along and sent me a detailed summary of his findings as well as estimates to correct the problems he found. I found the estimates to be very reasonable and will definately have Intec do the work when I am ready. My only dissatisfaction is that the reports and estimates were mistakenly sent to my sister-in-laws address (we have the same name) in another city because she also has used Intec and "was in the system"???? Thus the B for quality. Fortunately she is a relative.

I bought the special through Angie's List because our home is uncomfortable in the winter and we wanted an expert opinion on why and what we could do to remedy the situation. Although very busy, scheduling was easy and they were on time for the appointment. The tech completed the energy audit. Inspected windows, doors, insulation levels, furnace and water heater etc. Also completed a pressure test on the home utilizing a device that sealed the front door and measured air flow. Total time for the audit was about two hours followed by a brief summary of findings and a promise that a detailed report and estimate for services would follow in about a weeek. The report didn't show and I called he office after a month. Very courteous at the office and promised to follow up with the tech and get the report out. The report followed a few days later. I was disappointed with the lack of data/detail that led to the conclusions and suggested remedy. Lots of small items, but no smoking gun that was going to help the comfort level in the winter.

I had purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out as expected. They did not charge more than the big deal charge. I wouldn't use them for no reason. I didn't see the value in doing what they showed me to do.

Workman showed up on time, set a blower in the front door and did a thermal search of every room for air leaks in the walls, around windows, at the plates where the walls meet the ceiling.

Angelo with Intec came on-time and was pleasant & professional. We were pleased to learn that our house was mostly in good shape. We have a few window issues; we wanted to know which were most pressing, and he helped us pinpoint that by showing where heat loss was worst. We also learned of some heat loss around can lights & how to easily fix it ourselves. After the visit, we received a write-up of the findings via email.

It was alright. They used the energy audit as a cedar business to get the insulation work. They showed a picture in the deal. We didn’t get the picture . He didn’t document where the air infiltrated and where the energy loss was. The report wasn’t specific enough. The energy audit left me wanting more. They won’t give any air filtration or key test results that are needed to get qualified for a rebate from the state. There was no mention of the certain calculations that were not be included in the report because those are required for the energy rebate. I’m not sure if they mentioned that but they did do calculations.

We went through the ME2 program for the City of Milwaukee and Intec was one of the approved contractors for the work. We went with them and were pleased. They came on-time, completed the job well, cleaned up after themselves and allowed us to ask questions. Our home is old and had a few sealing issues, but once Intec found the areas where the blown in insulation got into the wrong place, they fixed the issue quickly. Their work passed the inspection of the ME2 and was great. We noticed a difference in our home right away. We will continue to highly recommend them.

Everything went fine. It turned out they did NOT honor a coupon that was on the Angies List website for 5% off. They made a really big deal about it. However, the work they did was good, and the installation of the weatherstripping and door sweep significantly helped with the draftiness I had been living with for years. I did notice a little bit of draftiness after they left as well as the fact that my door wouldn't deadbolt unless you leaned on it, and someone came by a few days later and made some adjustments to address both issues. The only other issue I would say is that they were a little pricey, but I knew that ahead of time. I had contacted several other companies on Angies List, but they were the only ones that responded. They charged about $60 dollar per door, which sounded reasonable, but then they charged a $100 trip charge. I really just wanted to get this done, so I paid it, and I'm happy with the work.

Intec insulated and air sealed my business two years previous so I knew the quality of work to expect. One thing I like about them is that when they quote you a price, there are no surprises, no upcharges and no change orders. We had several things come up on both our business and at our home that in all reality should have been an extra cost to me, but they just did what needed to be done and held to the original quoted price. My two biggest objectives for getting my home weatherized were energy savings (of course), and I wanted to downsize my heating and cooling equipment so that I could eliminate one of the units (both were due for replacement) and install one furnace and A/C with a zone system instead of having the cost of two units to replace and maintain yearly. We did the heat loss calculations and I was able to downsize my equipment by 25%. I now have one furnace and one air conditioner. (This work was done a little more that a year ago. The new furnace and air conditioner have no problem keeping up) What I really liked about Intec is that they did a complete home assessment before quoting the work that needs to be done. The blower door test doesn't lie. I knew exactly how much tighter my home is and that I got what I paid for. I highly recommend Intec.

The guys arrived at 8:30 as agreed upon and stayed until 6:00 pm to complete the work. The original work included insulating the sloped ceilings with dense packed cellulose. When the drywall was removed from this area, I was informed that there already was R50 insulation and to blow in additional might cause the walls to buckle. Based on their recommendation to leave the insulation as is, this work was removed from the quote. Because this last work was not required, the guys were able to complete the work in 1 day rather than 2. I was impressed that they stayed until 6:00 pm to complete the work and thoroughly clean the attic, steps, etc. of any traces of the day's work. Blower door, CAZ and combustion safety testing was done before and after their work. Pictures were taken during the work and we reviewed them at the end of the day. The guys were most professional, knowledgeable and completed the work to my extreme satisfaction. I definitely recommend InTec to anyone looking to insulate their home or business.

Intec visited 2 weeks after calling them (they were very busy). During Juan?s & Angelo?s visit they measured the attic and looked in the air chamber & attic areas. They understood what needed to be done and promised to quote time & material with a not to exceed cost for both options. The direct air chamber approach was the most challenging. During the 4 weeks after their visit and calling them 3 times with promises of sending a quote I still have not received an estimated cost for the work.

Company representative was professional, informative, prompt. Verbal discussion and review of findings to be followed by written report and recommendations. Learned several elements of which I was not aware, and was thankful to discover. Recommended.

Elvis did the estimate back in May, 2014. Angelo answered ?s regarding estimate when ready for work in Sept, 2014. 3 techs came & spent the day doing all the above mentioned work. the techs were considerate of 2 cats all day long. they put down plastic sheeting before beginning work & cleaned-up before they left. was originally told it was a 2 day job but they finished in 1 day. they installed some energy saving features before leaving. the techs were friendly & easy to get-along with.

did a good job and really explained what he found. on complaint is some of his finding were guesses. I wish he had asked if he could get access to areas he didn't know how to access. we should have drilled a hole to see what insulation was already there in a couple of spots. Other than that he did well. I would recommend them and use them again.

He arrived right on time and began by explaining the process. It took about an hour to complete. By then, I had some questions. He went out of his way to make sure I understood the answers. I was told I would be receiving a list of things that needed to be done and a quote to do it. The quote arrived within a week showing all the information, of what needed to be done, a price quote and making me aware of an energy program rebate that I was no aware was available. Since being here, he has not put any pressure on us to do the work. He did an absolutely great and thorough job. I'm not able to do the job right now, but if I'm able I would definitely give him a call.
