They were excellent. We have used them going back 25 years for every move that we have done. They pack things up, they bring in the boxes, and they move everything. We label the boxes like what rooms they would go in. They were able to lift ridiculously heavy things like an upright piano. So we have been very happy with them. Price wise they were reasonable. They were very professional. We will use them in the future.

Hernia movers is amazing. I have used them in the past and was very impressed then and so I called again for this move and was not disappointed. During the initial call to set up the appointment, they were very informative and helpful. We needed boxes and made a trip to their office to pick up some VERY affordable boxes to be used in the move. They have a huge variety of shapes and sizes and you have your choice of used (good condition!), rental or new. They even carried them out to the car for me! If you prefer, they will bring boxes the day of the move and even help you pack your things if needed. We didn't take this option due to budget concerns. On the day of the move, the movers showed up right on time with a clean, large truck and started work right away. They were fast, friendly, efficient & professional Everything was quickly, but carefully moved and the price was reasonable for the excellent service I received. They gave us an estimate and actually came in UNDER the estimate. I was thrilled, once again, with Hernia Movers, would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them for your next move.I've used OTHER movers in the past and have been extremely disappointed. Thank goodness I found Hernia!

They were quick. They were prompt. They took apart a few things which I was not very thrilled about. It was a good service though. They did fine.

They are a local company in this area. My son had used another company and it was not a good experience. Our move was not really a move it was an in building move. We were moving from the 7th floor to the 12th and we didn’t really need a truck. We looked on Angie’s list and found Hernia because they had a lot of positive reviews and frankly they were the best we have ever used. Their estimate was high so the bill was lower. The people worked consistently fast. They were careful and personable and everything about the move was as good as it could be. It was just a vertical move. We called them and they gave us an estimate though it was a little high compared to others. He said we’d rather be high than understated. He said it could be lower and he would be able to tell when he got out there. It was in the ballpark of what I had expected anyway. They showed up on time and had everything that was needed including library carts because we have a lot of books. They came in and loaded the library carts with the books and put the books back where they belonged when they got up there. The units are mirrors of each other and everything got in the same place when they got upstairs. It was an easy move and there was no doubt about it. We did a lot of it before they got there but when it was all done they did what they were supposed to do and they cleaned up. They were very careful in the hall and in the elevator as we have this mahogany elevators and expensive wallpaper in the hallway and common areas. They were very careful of all that stuff. For a group of guys who move, they had all the right attitudes. In addition to that we gave a recommendation to one of the guys to use them and he also mentioned that it was one of the best moves he had done.

Do have your stuff packed and organized before they arrive so they can get right to the task of moving it.

We called the beginning of august and booked our moving date of 8/27. They did give an estimate over the phone, which I accepted. However because we have a few heavier items they asked if we wanted them to come by to give a more exact estimate. They said it was not necessary, but I said yes, would be nice, however please ensure the date is booked for 3 guys all day (at minimum), which they agreed to. Today (8/18) two weeks later I get a voice message that they had an appointment to give an estimate but the time no longer works and they are now booked on August 27th and they can't do the move anyway. Keep in mind we have a small moving window and had counted on this company to do the move. Now with only one week before our scheduled move date we are left without movers due to their error. Better yet when I called back after getting such a poorly left voice mail the company representative was very unprofessional and not at all apologetic. His reply: "I don't know what to tell you, the guy must have looked at the wrong date because we've been booked on 8/27 for weeks. We only have 6 trucks, I'm sure another company can help you." When I explained I had called weeks before he had no good reply, didn't offer any solutions or offer to assist in finding alternative movers. I WOULD NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY EVER, VERY POOR SERVICE AND NO GUARANTEE THEY WILL BE ABLE TO MOVE YOU WHEN YOU NEED THEM.

Hired a different company because I couldn't get any response back for a quote.

I found them on Angie's List and used them for 4 hours. They were awesome and really efficient. They were very careful with all of our stuff and didn't band anything up. I will use them again in the future.

It was nice to have them move our large furniture and a few other things before we moved into our new house. They moved it to the side of our condo and stored it. Then they pulled everything out of the storage and moved it into the house a few weeks later. It was nice that they were always prompt and on time. The quote that they had was nice.

They moved all the big stuff and they were very careful. We rented them for half a day. They did a really good job of getting things out. They took things that they were told they couldn't take, but they took it anyway. They really did please the customer. They wore lifting belts and stuff while they worked so that they wouldn't get hurt. They were awesome. I would use them again in a heartbeat. They were fantastic people to work with.

They came and packed it all up and they drove over and unpacked it and they were done. It literally took them, maybe start to finish, 5 hours. They were really fast because I've done moves before with the exact same furniture and its taken 2 days. The come and they kind of pack on one day and they move it on the other. They didn't break anything. It surprised me because we have always been used to doing longer moves than that, and when they do longer moves, everything needs to be really kind of fastidiously packed but in the case of taking shorter moves is that, I don't want to say but they can just throw things in the truck but to a certain degree it does not have to have the same amount of packing and buffering as this was literally a couple of miles away.

Overall the move went as planned. We moved from a ranch to a first floor condo. Not many stairs at all. The movers showed at the time that was quoted. We were very pleased and would recommend Hernia Movers to friends and family.

Our experience with Hernia Movers was great. We contracted for them to move about 12 large items (dressers, mattress, couch, large boxes, etc. They were prompt, friendly, professional, handled the move very quickly, and we were very pleased. No hassles, worries or problems. Overall great experience!

The large couch posed a problem in my apartment building where one of the doors was just a little narrow. The movers were able to quickly remove the door to make extra space for the couch to pass through the door. They put the door back the way it was after that. I appreciated that very much. The only thing I did not like was that I did not know I was going to be charged from the time they left their office to the time they returned to their office. I wish I had been informed of this beforehand. Their website does not make any references to this either.

Holy Smokes, do these guys WORK!! We were initially scheduled for 2 men to come out, but they quickly realized they needed help. A third mover was at our home quickly. These men were professional, courteous, and EFFICIENT!! Both homes have several sets of stairs and it was a HOT day. The movers did not stop!! It was incredible!! I would recommend them to anyone!!

Overall, great experience. Unfortunately, got started 45 minutes late because they had the starting address wrong by one digit which had them looking for my house in a totally different neighborhood. But it was all uphill from there. We had quantities of snow on the ground to deal with, and they came up with a unique ramp system that created a bridge over 2 feet of snow so they could efficiently move items directly into the truck from the front steps. Three person crew was professional, efficient, and worked hard. Were respectful with me and my items. At the new place, took extra effort to put items and boxes where they belonged. Took select items into the basement for storage. Very good experience.

The fellows who moved us were very nice and well meaning. They seemed overwhelmed by all our stuff. I think the person taking our reservation didn't grasp how much stuff we had, though I was very specific. They arrived with a truck way too small, so had to make many trips ($), and moved things one at a time, instead of using dolly's or straps. They did come in a couple of times with 2 or 3 boxes perched on top of each other. I would use them again, but make sure communications was clear.

This is the 4th time we have used Hernia Movers in the last 5 years, for both large and small jobs. They are always prompt, careful with the items, professional and quick. I have nothing but good things to say about the company.

They were excellent. I would give them top marks across the board. They are super effeicient. Because they sare so efficient they end up saving you money, because you pay by the hour. Their price they quoted was 3 hours, but they did it in 2 hours.

They were prompt, efficient, and careful with our furniture. We also hired them in July of 2009 with the same result. Both times we had excellent service.
