Description of Work: Problem with flow of water in kitchen faucet. Cleaned out faucet and it worked for 2days than returned to previous state. Returned to replace hose I ordered that they indicated was likely to be causing the problem. This only has corrected the problem by 50%. I'm hesitant to use them again because I think they could have been more thorough in getting to the root cause of the problem

Description of Work: The handle broke off the valve in the shower and water was spewing all over the tub and walls until I shut off the water. Carl's came out the next day and took care of this issue promptly and efficiently. I would not hesitate to use Carl's again for the same type of service. | |I have not provided a price because they were sent out by my home warranty company which has a fixed price per call so it doesn't not reflect what the actual cost might have been.

Description of Work: Steve comes on time. We need the rotor rooter for our main line and this is not covered by the coupon. The coupon of $32 is only for trip charge. $75 for for 45 minutes of work + machine cost of $25 makes it $102 + 32$ coupon. It turns out the savings is not there. Good work but on the expensive side.

Description of Work: I ordered the Big Deal for plumbing service plus inspection for $29, a real bargin. I reviewed the order and saw my old address was in my account so updated it. When I saw the addess of the provider I suspected the deal was targetted to local customers so was not surprised when I contacted the provider to find the deal did not apply. The interaction with the provider was professional and appropriate, I just need to cancel the service and get back the charged $29.

Description of Work: Installed a primary sump pump with a battery backup pump. The pump install went great. The installer was very knowledgeable , courtious and very professional. He had rebuilt a valve earlier this year. With this new pump and backup system I will have peace of mind. I am on a low end of my water table and therefore the water drains often. I needed a realiable pump with backup for the rainy times to insure my basement remains dry. I would have no problem refering people to Carl's Plumbing.

 + 0 moreThey were excellent. They got someone out in the hour for the emergency. Quoted over the phone. Noticed that the water was cold the next day, and I called. He came back with no extra charge, and said condensation had shut out the pilot light. He showed up in 20 minutes, re-lit it, showed me how to do it myself, and told me it was part of the service and I could call back with any other problems. They were very nice and very professional, it reassured me, I have nothing but praise for them.
Description of Work: Removal and replacement of the water heater under emergency conditions.

 + -1 moreCARL IS A VERY UNETHICAL PLUMBER. HE TRIED TO CHARGE ME THE 15 MINUTE RATE OF $23 TO WRITE UP THE BILL. EACH TIME I CALLED TO REPORT THE PROBLEMS WERE NOT FIXED, HE TRIED TO TURN IT AROUND THAT I WAS THE PROBLEM. HE IS POSSIBLY THE WORST CONTRACTOR I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. NOW I HAVE TO CALL AND PAY ANOTHER PLUMBER TO REPAIR A LEAK THAT WAS NOT THERE IN THE BEGINNING. CARL IS RUDE, DISHONEST AND HAS WASTED MY TIME REPEATEDLY. HE HAS ALOT TO LEARN ABOUT QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Description of Work: CARL SENT TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE, FOUR TIMES TO WORK ON SIMPLE PLUMBING REPAIRS. A LEAK STARTED UNDER THE BATHROOM SINK AS A RESULT OF THE THIRD TRIP. CARL SENT SOMEONE TO TELL ME HE WOULDN'T FIX THE LEAK.

 + -1 moreTHIS IS ONE OF THOSE JOBS I THOUGHT OF DOING MYSELF AND AM GLAD I DIDN'T. A SIMPLE JOB BECAME COMPLICATED AS THE SUPPLY LINE BECAME CLOGGED. I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GUESS WHERE THE BLOCKAGE WAS OR REPLACE THAT PART OF THE SUPPLY LINE. THE PLUMBER WAS HAPPY TO HAVE MY INVOLVEMENT AS I TURNED OFF THE WATER SUPPLY AND TURNED IT ON AGAIN (REPEATEDLY, FROM THE BASEMENT TWO FLOORS DOWN), AND I WAS HAPPY TO HAVE SAVED SOME BILLED TIME. THIS COMPANY'S RATES ARE LOWER BECAUSE OF THEIR LOWER OVERHEAD -- ON THE OTHER HAND, SOME OF THE BILLED TIME WAS TO GO TO THE PLUMBING SUPPLY STORE TO GET A PART. FOR OTHER JOBS WHERE THIS ISN'T NECESSARY, I HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE QUITE REASONABLY PRICED.
Description of Work: REPLACED CARTRIDGES IN A PAIR OF BATHTUB FAUCETS. CLEANED OUT SUPPLY LINES TO ALLOW BETTER PRESSURE.
