Bug Masters Pest Control

When I phoned Jerry to schedule treatment for what I believed to be carpenter ants, he asked me to collect a sample ant before the appointment. When he arrived to provide treatment, he saw that the sample was not a carpenter ant. He was grateful that he had not gone ahead with the planned treatment, because it would not have taken care of this type of ant and I would have been an unhappy customer. Instead, he selected an appropriate treatment, which he applied carefully inside the house around the periphery of the rooms where I had seen ants. He also sprayed in the basement under those rooms, and outdoors at any anthills near the house. In the month since then, the only ants I have seen in the house are some dead ones in the basement, which he said might occur. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the job Jerry did, the care he took when spraying inside the house, and the pride he displayed in making sure that I was a satisfied customer.

He found and treated two areas where the carpenter ants may have entered our home. Jerry indicated that the treatment that day was complimentary and if we wanted to have the outside of our home, trees, bushes etc sprayed it would cost $450 which includes a one year guarantee. He encouraged me to wait to see if there was any more evidence of ants and suggested I discuss with my husband first. However, my husband and I had already agreed we wanted the treatment. Jerry returned on a dry day to treat our home. We have not seen another ant since. Jerry is polite, prompt, explains the problem and the solution.

Jerry was very prompt and professional. He responded to our email inquiry and came to our home for an inspection and estimate. He clearly explained the treatment process and what to expect. His employee who applied the outdoor treatment was very professional and courteous. We didn't get an invoice until the process was completed. We are completely satisfied with his excellent service. We haven't seen an ant in the house since!

We called Jerry because we had flying carpenter ants coming in our family room window. When the sun shone on that window the ants were every active. Jerry came out and explained what he would do for us. He also explained that his product would not immediately kill the ants, but the ants would carry the insecticide back to their nests and then they would die. So far we haven't seen any ants.

I called regarding bees/hornets in our soffits and Jerry came out the same day and took care of it. He also took care of our fence line and playset. In addtion, he looked into a rodent issue under our playset and responded with options for controlling it ourselves. He was extremely professional, courteous and responsive (same day service) and did an excellent job answering questions around safety for our kids and pets. We will certainly use this service going forward.

I was out of town and he came out and fixed the issue. He is very good and I have used him several times in the past and I have recommended him to several people.

That was the only thing they did. They were prompt. They came out the same day I called them. They were efficient. I would use them again.

Jerry was professional, friendly and very kind. He spent almost 30 minutes at the home and would not give me a bill. I will hold onto his card and share his name with anyone needing pest control.

I practically flipped out when I saw three mice in my house on Sunday, October 25th! I searched Angie's list for an exterminator and selected Bug Masters Pest Control because of the positive reports and I wanted someone that would inspect my house to locate where/how the mice got in my house. I called them Monday morning around 7:15am - I got the voice mail and left a message. Jerry called back within 5 minutes. He explained to me his procedures and price and we scheduled an appointment for him to come out the same day at1:00pm. He arrived on time and got right to work. He was very detailed with his inspection of my house. After his inspection, Jerry provided a verbal report of his findings and told me how he planned to proceed. Jerry originally quoted me a price of $225.00, however he offered me a reduced price of $125.00 (for a single visit) because he indicated that my house was well sealed and that my problem was minor. He found three possible entry points, he sealed them as well as laid multiple traps in the basement, main floor and finished attic. Jerry was very professional, pleasant and honest. He was very attentive and reassuring to me (I hate mice) about getting rid of the mice. Jerry called me the next day to check-in and I called him with questions. I was very pleased with the service I received.

We were so impressed with his honesty that we will definitely call him if the need arises.

Our house is a little older, and like most houses wasn't very well sealed. We'd been living with an annual barrage of bugs for a few years--house spiders in the spring, earwig and centipede invasion in the summer, and ladybugs in the autumn and winter. We decided it was time to do something about it after carpenter ants started coming in as well. Jerry was very prompt and professional. He took the time to explain exactly what attracted the various bugs (and how they got in the house), and what he would do to correct the problems. He was very conscious of our two small children, which we appreciated. We received the estimate in April, but since carpenter ants don't start moving around until the weather gets warmer, he promised to stop by sometime around the beginning of June to do the treatments. He contacted us at the beginning of June and showed up the next day. Within an hour or so he had everything finished--no fuss, no mess. It's been just over three months, and I would say 99% of the bugs are simply gone. The very few we have found since I can count on one hand. I have not seen a single carpenter ant in, on, or around the house. We'll see how many ladybugs we get during the next couple months--hopefully none! Thanks again, Jerry!!!

It was an excellent experience. I contacted Bug Masters in the morning and spoke with Jerry the owner. I had a massive amount of bee activity in and out of my wood deck. We were unable to even sit on the deck or enjoy our barbecuer. Jerry came over that afternoon, located the bee nest immediately even though it was hidden inside the deck. He exterminated the bees then removed the entire nest which contained dozens of eggs. He stayed long enough to make sure he exterminated any wandering bees that were flying back to the nest. I haven't seen one bee on my deck since he was over and its been a couple of weeks. Jerry was very personable, seemed to genuinely care about the quality of his work and gave me an excellent price. I'm very happy with his services and would use him again if need be.

Jerry is one of those service providers who is golden. So patient with questions and concerns, extremely thorough and explains everything, very knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile to get the work done right. He is a pleasure to work with and even called and left a phone message a few days later to check in on whether we saw any ants!

Jerry was very informative and worked in two stages to get rid of the ant issue.

Jerry is a great guy, the ideal family owned business man. He came over on time, less than 24 hours after I called him! He pointed out trouble spots, explained exactly what he was going to do, and made suggestions to help avoid any other problems. I told him about how we hired Orkin last year for the same problem, and they never showed up after the estmate, and he said all we had to do was call him, and he'd come running! The cost was a lot less than what Orkin was going to charge, and I'm assuming that the process is the same. So far so good, or else I wouldn't be on here writing his praises!

I would definitely use this business again. It is eco-friendly and people friendly. He was very responsive and came back twice after laying traps for the mice.

They did a good job but showed up before I got home and treated the wrong hole. They did however return promptly and treat the right location right away. They were very good to work with.

They showed up on time to do the work. He came over within twenty minutes and was there for about an hour and half. He said if we saw the wasp again after that he would spray again for no charge.

He took the time and gave good advice over the phone.

I called at 8:00 a.m. and Jerry was there by 11:00 a.m. He used some powder and cotton to block off the yellow jacket entry and then used the powder and a spray to kill and destroy the nest. The entire process took about 15 minutes. Jerry was very friendly and told me what he was doing at every step. It was very informative! We haven't seen any in the house since.

Went better than I expected. Fast and efficient. Arrived on time, explained what would transpire, quoted a price and time frame for completion. After mutual agreement, the work proceeded as outlined.

I think that he is the greatest bug guy ever. He is always available and answers the phone all of the time. He likes to really talk out the issue with.

We discovered a wasp next (with LOTS of activity around it!) at the top of our roof line on a Sunday afternoon. We called Jerry early Monday morning, and he was terrific. He explained how he would get rid of the problem, quoted us a price and said he could get there the next morning for sure, and possibly that afternoon. He reminded us to be careful around our stinging guests as well. When I explained that there would be no one home, he said that was fine, that he would leave a card so we would know if he had been there to do the work. When I got home from work that evening, his card was in the door, and the wasps were gone. Jerry came back on Wednesday while we were home to make sure everything was OK. He checked the nest area, and made sure we were happy with the result.

Excellent! He came promptly and as always, was very professional. I was not able to be home when he came to remove the bee nest, and he left me a note about what he found. I called him on a Friday evening and he was out already on Saturday morning. I would call him for any pest problem!

I was greeted by hundreds of winged, tiny ants in my back hall and kitchen. After killing all of them with detergent, they returned the next day. When I called Bug Masters, Jerry came to my house the same day, discovered the likely entry point of the ants, and sprayed the least toxic chemical he had. He refused immediate payment and would not bill me until I was reassured that the ant problem was eliminated. I am very grateful for his prompt, thorough, friendly, and totally professional service.
