Boley Tree & Landscape Care

Once I received the proposal in the mail, it was convenient for me to sign the agreement and fax it to the company. When I arrived home that evening, the yard was clean. I am very satisfied and will contact Boley Tree and Landscape Care again for services again. I was also able to take care of paying the bill via telephone.

I used Boley snow removal for the past two winters. This review is ONLY for the snow removal, I also use them for landscaping. Their snow removal service was poor and they performed work which was not required. They require a $400 deposit at the beginning of the season and have somehow used that deposit each of the years I have used them. The first year, 2011-2012 winter, there was very limited snow fall and my contract requires a min of 1and quot; before they come to plow. Somehow they were able to make enough trips to my house to use up the min. I know there were days which there was under 1and quot; in my drive or anywhere near me and they came to plow. They use the local airport to report the snow fall (which I'm not sure how to get the reading from them) so fall back on that to justify their trip. Since they used up to the min, I let the first year go. This year, I actually needed their service when we had the heavy snow fall (20and quot;). It took them 3 days to get to my house and when they finally got there, they were only able to plow out a small path for my car and the walk to my door. It took them another 4 days to plow the sidewalk. I used my own snowblower to clear enough to get my other cars out. Soon after that, I cancelled my service. Unfortunately before I cancelled there was another day of light snow and then freezing rain. They charged me for the snow removal which they listed as less than an inch (they removed that charge even though their bill said .75 inchs, the person said the airport said greater than an inch?). They also charged for freezing rain which they said was in the contract. So they charged me the same price to throw salt on my driveway as they would to plow? Even if it's in my contract, that is a rip off. I cancelled their service and will not use them again.

I was very satified and would highly recommend them. I will definitely use their services again.

From the moment the project began, every member of the crew was in motion One of the guys worked in the cherry picker, avoiding telephone and electrical lines. The other 4 crew members worked on the ground. As soon as a tree limb was lowered, the rope holding it was removed and the wood taken out of the yard by several ground crew guys, while the rope was raised up for the lead man in the bucket to use again. It's potentially a very dangerous job, but the team was absolutely aware of where each person was, where the tree branch was coming down, when the tension on the rope had to be lessened or tightened, etc. The job took about 5 hours, and by the time they left, the patio and backyard were raked and swept clean. I had told Mr. Boley that I wanted the 26and quot; diameter tree to be cut down only to the height of a 2-3' stump , with a level top. They did a beautiful job. I plan to plant a large container of flowers and set it atop the beautiful stump table, and surround it with a little garden. It's not an inexpensive job to hire out, but all tree-removal companies are expensive; Boley is the best.

GREAT. gAVE ESTIMATE QUICKLY...OTHER PEOPLE DID NOT EVEN ANSWER MY CALL. tHEY REMOVED ALL DEBRIS. Ground up the stump and filled in hole. Will always call them for trr work.

Called for estimate on Monday, they came out that evening and sent estimate by email that night. Asked them to do the job, and they showed up at 7:30 the next day. Cut up and hauled off tree, ground down the stump, placed topsoil and grass seed. The guys who came out were friendly and personable. Our only complaint was that the Bobcat they used had some tar on the tires that came off in our concrete driveway. It has been impossible to get off, so now we have tire tracks. I don't think that this was really their fault and when the workmen noticed the tracks at the end of the day, they did try to hose it off. Otherwise the work was great and clean up was good. We have used them before and will do so again if the need arises.

We used them a couple of years ago. We had 4 or 5 estimates from people, and we talked to them about what we wanted done. Boley was above and beyond the others in their knowledge base. They were true professionals. They just weren't guys that trim trees. We purchased a home with 12 mature oak trees that had never been touched. There was a lot of dead wood, and the trees needed to be shaped. They needed a lot of work.

They are responsive and do a good job. Their work was good.

We have been using them a year around. We never anticipated paying much as we did, but they do an excellent job.

They came out promptly and were very detailed with their estimate. I really liked the people and their work approach, but their price was high. We ended up doing the work ourselves.

While I almost feel like I overpaid for the aeration based on how long it took to do the job, it was done efficiently yet professionally. The invoice was left in the door with 30 day terms. For the tree service, the workers were equally efficient and they even helped me drag a large pile of medium sized brush from the backyard and put it in the chipper for me, saving me [several] trips to the city drop off site. I would, and have, recommend them to a friend.

Great: They came when we had about 3 inches on the ground yesterday and then came early this morning. I got up at 6:30 and they had already cleared the walks and driveway. They came one last time to make sure that the snow plow did not bury the end of our driveway again. These guys are amazing!

They came when they said they would and they cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. He was a nice knowledgeable man and he had great people working for him. I was very happy with the results. It was slightly cheaper which was very interesting. They were very reasonably priced. I didn't price any other tree services. My neighbor had actually used them and she had priced 3 other people. She said that he was the most reasonable.

They do a lot of work for me. If I have a problem with them, they will make sure that they look into the problem and make changes. So, anytime there is anything that needs to be corrected, they always do it. They have been very good on telling me what is needed for the health of the trees and bushes. There are a lot of bugs in my neighbor's trees, but my trees are healthy. They are very knowledgeable. They have an arborist, who will come out and discuss things if I have a problem with something. I know them by their names. I have been using them for nine years; I have a very good relationship with them. I will continue to use their services in the future.

The experience was very good because we have had them out before and we will have them out again. We have always been real happy with them. They clean up real well, leave our property in good shape and know what they are doing. I will use them again in the future.

Horrible, horrible company--in particular the front office. Outrageous prices for nominal service. Here is one little example: they charged $200 to trim two bushes in the front yard. $200! This and quot;serviceand quot; was performed twice per year. Clearly they were taking advantage of my mother, who was ill and unable to move around much. When I called the front office and mentioned that the lawn did not look at all like it was being professionally maintained, I was treated with disrespect. I insisted that someone come out and look at the lawn, etc. Once there, I questioned him about the recent $200 bill for a simple trimming of two bushes (only two--that's $100 per bush for 5 minutes and quot;workand quot;) and his only answer was and quot;that is the price she agreed to payand quot;. Absolutely despicable. Over the course of a few years they charged my mother thousand's of dollars for such and quot;servicesand quot;. When I pointed out the shoddy appearance of the lawn itself--supposedly maintained by Boley's, he said they did only what was in their contract. His tone throughout our five minute and quot;meetingand quot; was arrogant and dismissive. Zero professionalism. Zero trustworthiness. I fired them immediately and hired someone else who does twice the work for half the cost--and is pleasant to deal with! I would never hire this company again, or even let them near my yard even for free.

When they show up, they do good work. The problem is with their front office, not the guys on the job. Dealing with Boley's front office is frustrating. We've spent thousands with them over the past two years, and we still have to call multiple times to ever get a call back. But worse is that we've tried to hire them the past two years for a big spring clean-up job, and both years they've eventually come out to take a look at the property, and then they've failed to get back to us with a bid! We call and call, and they say a bid is coming, but by now it's four weeks later, nearly June, and what would have been a regular clean-up job has become messier and (in some places) impossible now that the trees have leafed out. This is just unprofessional behavior, and we're tired of putting up with it.

They did a very good job. My impression with them has been very good. Their price was reasonable. They cleaned up after the work was over. They were good people, they were very professional, and we are quite satisfied with the work they did.

This was the first winter in our new house which has a driveway on a hill - not easy to snowblow. Overall our snow was cleared relatively quickly after each snowfall. The walks were all salted well afterward. Only after the big blizzard in February was I forced to get out and shovel/snow blow part of the walk and driveway because they didn't come for over a day which is somewhat understandable. Well worth the cost this winter.

They performed the services and charged me exactly in accordance with our agreement.

So far everything has gone well. He has been prompt and responsive to phone calls.

My experience with Boley was excellent. The estimator arrived promptly as scheduled and they made a special effort to quickly schedule the tree trimming to meet my needs. They dig a thorough and high quality job. They came with a boom truck and another truck with a chipper. They carefully and safely worked on the tree for about two hours. There was no damage to our landscaping under the tree. They cleaned and raked afterwards and left the area cleaner then before their work.

The men started very early and were finished by noon. Excellent clean-up.

Prompt evaluation, pleasant and professional staff both in the office and at the worksite. Good job, worksite left in good order.

I have a contract with them to trim a large hedge twice a summer. They do a great job and clean up everything. Only complaint is that I have to call them to come. It was well into summer last year and they hadn't shown up. Maybe I'm supposed to cal them, I'm not sure. I now have them treating a tree for apple scab and so far, so good. They owe me one more visit.
