The patio is fabulous..BUT when we met with Chris about the project, our main concern was water in our basement. Chris represented that one thing they could do was bury our down spouts. During our conversation I specifically asked him if that was ok to do because the city we live in is kind of funny about codes.. I asked if we needed permits for anything. Chris said it was fine and they do it all the time, plus he said it is landscaping so we didn't need permits. One year later we were having our basement finished, in large part because we had handled the water issues in our basement. During the inspection the plumbing. Inspector wrote us a citation for the buried down spouts ( one side Chris did and one side our contractor did).. The inspector said the buried downspouts are considered plumbing and a plumber had to pull the permits. I contacted Chris right away and he was cooperative, he even came out to our house for a meeting with the contractor. They decided to split the work since they both screwed up, Chris agreed to plant( we had 2 options to fix it.. Rain garden or a 10,000 dollar fix.. We went rain garden). All was pretty good until I had a conversation with Chris about his "bill". We were not trying to screw him over so we immediately had agreed to pay for the plants. Chris had added some other fees that we did not feel were appropriate based upon the fact that we relied upon his expertise to tell us what his company could and couldn't do legally/ appropriately. Had we not been able to bury the down spouts we would not have tried to finish off our basement. Chris and I had quite a "discussion"/argument about the whole thing where he started saying how inconvenient this was for him and how it was costing him money to do this and scheduling was a problem. Bottom line is that Chris did come out and fix things but I was very disappointed about his attitude when He was a large part of the reason we were in this situation. I had given them a glowing review on here before, but this experience soured me.

The estimate amount they gave us was $20,000. He was a very professional man and sent the estimate via mail at the time he said he was going to. I think it is problem with all landscapers to get them here in timely manner and it took a week or two to get him to even come here and look at it.

Very pleased. Nice company and group of workers. Hard-working and went the extra mile. Changed a few things without complaint after the job was complete. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I could tell right away that they were going to be expensive, so I didn't hire them.

Our home is on a court and our house is on an angle, therefore our landscaping can be seen from pretty much every direction. Chris developed a plan to significantly improve the appearance of the beds in front of our house, in the LARGE corner bed, and on the side of our house. The design included several varieties of shrubs that offered different heights, textures and colors. He also included a section outside our dining room that would attract butterflies. He came to our home twice before we signed a contract to determine what we wanted, what we liked and didn't like, and to clarify his plans for us. His initial estimate came in a little lower than we expected (wow!), so we were able to make additions to the plans to get even more of what we wanted. Chris knew that we were having a party on 6/13, marked it in his calendar, and said he'd do what he could to get the work done before that. Sure enough, they came on 6/9 and were largely finished on 6/10. The team was professional, focused and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. Best of all, our yard looks FANTASTIC. We went from having a dated, overgrown landscape to having a yard to be very proud of. Before he left on the second day, Chris made sure we knew how to take care of the new plantings until Fall, and indicated that we could call if we had any questions. He was very easy to work with, explained everything in detail, and most importantly, did a great job. We will definitely call Chris again if we have more work to be done. Highly recommend!!

Our subdivision signed a three year agreement with Oberndorfer. Chris Oberndorfer is detailed, professional and a pleasure to work with. Followed through on everything he said he would do when he promised to do it. Has performed services as promised without fail.Very cost effective and high quality. I would recommend Chris and his business to anyone.

We have used them a number of times. It's nice to use a familiar company. The price is similar to the competition.

The work done by them turned out well. They were responsible and easy to communicate with. They also did what they said they were going to do.

They were very good. Their prices were very reasonable. They sat and talked to us about what we wanted. They gave us some other ideas that we didn't think of. We were able to utilize their ideas. They did everything when they were supposed to, and it was done on time. They cleaned up and were very professional. I would recommend them to anyone who was looking to have any landscaping or retaining wall work. We have contacted them to do work in the future.

Job went very smooth - no problems. Landscaping looks great. Chris stayed in touch and updated me when he was coming, etc.

Chris was very responsive when I called for an estimate. He was able to come over within a few days. He was very professional, very polite and very helpful in addressing our concerns regarding our drainage problem. Once we hired the group, they were on time most days. There were anywhere from 4 guys to one guy working at any time. Chris, the owner, was there everyday checking in and often times doing a lot of the work himself. The workers were very professional, and always left the work site very clean. The patio looks beautiful and and our water in the basement issue seems to be solved. We changed our plans a few times and Chris was totally able to modify things. He gave me his cell number and always called me back that day, ususally within a few hours. The crew was always willing to answer any questions we had. Chris presented with a great knowledge of his craft and a very professional attitude. The project took about 2 weeks due to weather and not having a huge group of guys working. We got the estimate at the end of May and they couldn't start until the end of June/start of July. The only problem we discovered was a piece of wood broken off on the side of our house from when they were digging the drainage ditch along the side of the house. We never did anything about it because it wasn't that big of a deal. We were very happy with Chris' group. We had 5 other estimates and really felt that Chris presented the best package and after the final product we are convinced we made the right choice.

I'm sure the company would have done a good job,but I chose another company because their quote was lower because of using seed instead of sod.

Most of all, he did what he said he was going to do and he did it in budget. In this particular industry that is quite impressive. I thought his design reflected a complete understanding of what our objectives were. He now takes care of the area on a regular basis.

The entire experience was fantastic. Chris was easy to work with. He came out initially, listened to our ideas, sent us an estimate that was a little more than we were comfortable with and worked with us to get things into our comfort zone. Chris always updated us about scheduling, progress, and delays (our job was delayed a week or so because of heavy rains). Chris's guys are professional and courteous. The end product looks fantastic. We could not be more pleased. Very impressed with how well Chris and his guys listened to us and worked with us to be sure they were building something we wanted.

Chris and his staff are excellent. They are priced very fairly, and their work is top notch. They installed new bushes and regraded part of my lawn and re-seeded the area. I was very pleased with their work.

I have been very satisfied. They are professional and reliable. They will even ask if you want to skip a week if it has been extremely dry. I have been very satisfied and have used them for 2 years.

They are great. They always come and shovel before I ever have to leave the house. By 6:00 am, if it had snowed the night before, the driveway is cleared.
