Went great. Chris responded immediately, and was in touch at all points throughout. I had an issue getting this job quoted last year by others because the backyard took some creativity to figure out. Chris was on top of it, and his solutions were far less expensive than other proposals.

Chris Oberndorfer, the owner, was able to replace our deck and brick patio himself with some assistance from his crew at times. He is highly skilled in his trade, and we are very pleased with the result of his work for us.

Finished job looks great! They started a little later than I was hoping for, but communication was good and we are very pleased with the results. Price was very reasonable.

End result is lovely! Took time and patience on Chris Oberndorfers part as he reworked the design several times to get it to fit into our budget. We ended up with a blend of pavers and treated wood deck/patio. What we appreciated about this business is that Chris not only is the owner but he was on the job each and every day with a crew of very nice hard working men. He worked along side everyone so you know that the work was being done correctly. His reputation is on the finished project and he made sure it was done correctly. We also appreciated that as the old deck was pulled up it became apparent that downspouts and water drainage needed readdressing, and they took care of that.They could have easily just buried the issue with the new deck. We also used them in the fall to cut down some big trees that were diseased. We would hire this company again as we feel they are honest, hard working and overall good people!

Due to previously installed plantings and stamped concrete garden pathways, all demolition had to be done from the terrain above the existing wall. This made the job more difficult and required special equipment and was labor intensive. However, Chris assured us that no equipment would traverse the walkway and our existing plantings would not be damaged. Also, Chris brought in thick rubber mats to protect our stamped concrete Patio in the event any sections of the old wall would collapse during demolition and tumble down potentially causing damage. The job was completed in the timeframe we agreed and included special Planter features. Chris has done hardscape and landscape work for us in the past both here and at other properties. He is dependable, sensitive to Customer needs, brings creative design ideas to the project and is reasonably priced. Not inexpensive, but reasonable. We had competitive bids from other firms. The finished product looks great !

Replaced a brick walkway and front stoop to house. Utilized Unilock pavers and the result was outstanding. Still love it a year later. Quality install.

All work completed on time and no additional costs. Well laid out plan of how to improve drainage and well executed

I'm writing a follow up review for one I posted a couple of years ago. Initially we were satisfied with the services provided. Where the down spouts were buried are now causing us further yard flooding issues. After doing more research and looking at other yards, I now see the down spouts are all brought to the edge of the yard instead of the middle, as is what was done with ours. The larger issue here is after 3 years, 4 of our 10 evergreen trees have died. These trees were 4ft tall and not cheep. Oberndorfer warranties the plants up to 1 year, which I'm learning is standard. The issue with the trees happened when we dug them up and all of them still had the burlap on them & this hadn't decomposed. The other issue is one of the trees still had the wire basket still on it. I was willing to count the other ones as a loss, but the tree with the wire around was very concerning. We contacted Oberndorfer and didn't hear anything back. The other issue I've had is we have had them spray our yard (not after the dead trees) and asked they call ahead and we would put our dogs in the house - otherwise they have a doggie door and an invisible fence. On several occasions we found our dogs barking after the man spraying the yard. He didn't appear to have any concern for the dogs and continued while the dogs were barking and running behind him. Of course we called every time and asked they call ahead of time and expressed our concern but nothing was done about it. Overall the services were marginal and very expensive.

The owner met me at my property on time and provided a prompt quote. While I didn't go with them, I appreciated the promptness and professionalism of their interaction with me.

Oberndorfer does a high quality job. I've used them for leaf cleanup and also landscaping in the past. Great job but a bit high priced.

He way under estimated how much dirt was needed for the job so I added another $5K to help him out, anyone else would not have. Then it was discovered that water was coming on the lot from next door, which he should have caught in the first place, so I added another $3K for a berm with a stipulation that we would not be charged anyone. So he still runs out of dirt but would not add anymore with the exception for 20 yards for a small berm on one side of the property and did not put filtered top soil on about a third of the lot so now when it rains a big pool of water forms and makes the land unusable. He did not put much seed down and he did not put any fertilizer and he used Hay instead of Straw, which will create a mess in the future with weeds. He came over and attempted to mitigate some of our concerns by adding some dirt and removing some of the Hay, but he did not put enough dirt down and he left a lot of hay. So we have contacted other landscapers to see how much it will cost to properly finish the job and it will cost between $5-$10K. This is a very unreliable Company and they can't be trusted. Whatever you do make sure you put every detail in the contract and do not pay him until you are completely satisfied. We are going to court on this and all indications from my lawyer based on the pictures I showed him we should have no problems winning but it will cost us legal fees. What a nightmare!!!

Chris did a great job executing the plan I provided for him. Once it was our turn on the schedule, he was in and out in a week. Workers were polite, and they kept the jobsite clean at the end of each day. Pricing was fair, and I would definitely recommend him to others.

When we initially contacted Oberndorfer, he was very prompt with setting up an appointment and providing an estimate. He began a few weeks later with preparing the area for the patio installation and setting the posts for the deck. We noticed a difference right away with the more proper pitch of the area. Rain water no longer pooled around our basement patio door. Once the area was prepared and graveled they then installed the patio. The 300 sq/ft paver patio install was completed in a only about 2-3 days and turned out great! They then moved right into the composite deck installation. Although progress slowed when it came to the deck installation (much of it due to weather and being a busier time of the year) the deck turned out beautifully. Despite being more strapped for time, they did not cut back on quality to get the job done faster. He was also great when it came to making changes along the way. We decided to add stair fronts on towards the end of the install in order to make it safer for our son and he ordered them right away and came back to install just a few days later. The complete lawn preparation was completed in only a day. A large crew arrived early to clear/weed the area, treat with herbicide, add topsoil and fertilizer, seed, cover with straw and install mulched flower beds. We began seeing grass in less than a week and its continuing to come in great! Overall we were very pleased with everything Oberndorfer did and provided and would likely use them in the future. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to install paver patio, composite deck or lawn install.

The experience was very good. He had good ideas and he communicated clearly.

Chris was very on hands with this project (which we liked). He did daily checks with us to answer questions and to give us updates. Chris and his crew were very knowledgeable, offered suggestions, and very skilled in their work. His crew was extremely professional.The project took about 8 days to completed. The only problem we had was with "Mother Nature" who decided we needed some rain which ended up pushing our project back a week and a half. The end results were outstanding and many of our neighbors have complimented us on how it looks. A week after the project was completed we noted 2 patio stones were loose. I call Chris and two days later he came personally and repaired those two stones. He stands behind his work and promises satisfaction. We highly, highly recommend them.

He is knowledgeable and very easy to work with and his crews are as well. Coordinates very well with materials suppliers and other contractors on site. We have extensive work yet to be done and intend to work with Chris steadily over the next several years.

They were veryfriendly and professional. A conflict came up and they called us to reschedule and then arrived early. However, since we haven't received an estimate. I called twice. The first time he said that it was with his secretary and that it should be in the mail any day. The second I left a voice mail with no response.

They're very professional. Late to the scheduled appointment though and ultimately didn't get back and give us a quote. But Oberndorfer Landscape Development seem very pleasant.

Chris Oberndorfer was a pleasure to work with. We had gotten quotes from other companies that were less expensive, but were put off by their 'hard sell'. Chris had the right mix of knowledge, professionalism, and easy going demeanor. With mature trees closely surrounding our property, we knew it would be a challenge to get large equipment to our backyard. Oberndorfer Landscaping was able to get their equipment to our backyard with minimal damage to our grass and surrounding landscaping (other companies would have destroyed and replanted a large area of grass and cut back trees, removing privacy). We are extremely happy with our new patio as well as the attention to detail and professionalism of Chris and his team at Oberndorfer Landscaping.
