Since its inception by co founders William Barr and Michael Strmac in 2002, Universal Windows Direct has lived by the philosophy of CANEI - "Constant and Never Ending Improvement". This philosophy holds true in all aspects of our business, from sales and marketing to installation and service and has catapulted UWD from a small, local home improvement company to one of the largest exterior remodeling companies in the country. Every one of our employees strives continuously to be the best in the business at what they do and provide our customers with only the highest levels of sales, service, and support. We think our company's history speaks to this goal and to the power of what we can accomplish by never settling. Universal Windows Direct of Milwaukee opened in 2020. Our products feature the exclusive UniShield brand and come with a transferable lifetime warranty on materials and labor. We are a fully licensed, bonded, and insured company and EPA Lead-Safe certified. In addition, a portion of every sale goes to support a growing list of local charities.

From the beginning Jamie was incredible thorough and patient as we worked through the process. The installers showed up on time, were incredibly careful as they worked in the house, and had all the windows installed quickly. They also cleaned up so well after they were done. I would highly recommend reaching out to Jamie and UWD if you are even considering new windows.

Had a large window installed a few years ago and one of the screens popped out at the bottom. Repair guy showed up quickly and was able to fix quickly. It looks great!

After a rocky start due to a Universal Windows computer calculation glitch which caused a delay in the order the installation process was so smooth! The installation crew were professionals, who asked the right questions and provided a seamless experience. I had a very large order with very large windows to be installed and the crew was able to complete the installation in one afternoon - they worked very efficiently. I'm very happy with my new windows!

Windows look great! Working with Jamie Shay was a great experience. He was very thorough in explaining the windows and helping with finance info. Installers were very efficient & and did some extra caulking we asked for. They cleaned up really well after they were done. We were very satisfied:)
