It went great. I liked them a lot. They came back and helped me with another problem and I was satisfied. I didn't pay anything other than the cost of the deal and the emergency call they charged me $79. They were very nice.

After the tune-up he gave us a report detailing how our furnace is performing - never had that before so that was a nice touch.

They checked out the furnace and explained what they found. No problems at this time. They will come back in spring to check out/tune up the air conditioner. This was one contract price special.

They did a great job at a reasonable price.

I bought a furnace maintenance & checkup package which they performed and did a good job. Only minor issue was that I thought it included changing the filter (my furnace has a complicated filter system) but didn't realize I had to pay extra for both the filter and changing it. But I had not read that in the fine print. Overall, very happy with the service guy and company. He actually explained stuff about my furnace in a way that I could understand - unlike previous service reps.

I have a combination heater/air conditioner (heat pump) in my condo unit (similar to what is in a hotel). Since May, it had not been working properly - either the heat would work and the air would not, or the air would work and the heat would not. I had several other companies come to try to fix it (called GE as it's a GE product and they would 'farm out' the service techs) only to find everyone didn't know how to even work on these units. I finally turned to Angie's List and found Capital Heating & Cooling which clearly had on their website that they worked on and installed heat pumps. I began working with Marcie and she was a pleasure to work with from the beginning! We discussed the option of a new unit versus fixing the unit I had. She found a replacement within a day, only to find that the new unit was larger than the current unit. This meant that they would have to cut into the wall, which meant condo board approval for me. I told her that I preferred to have someone take a look at it just one more time. We set up an appointment for Monday, 11/11/13 between 9:30 - 10:30 with Dan. On the morning of, Dan called to say that he was about 1/2 hour away and arrived around 10:00. He took his shoes off (which he didn't need to, but it was nice). I explained everything that the previous companies did, and he got right to work and assured me he would get it taken care of. Well, within about an hour or so, he had the heat fixed and told me that it wasn't working due to it being wired wrong. He gave me his card and said to call any time. It was such a relief to know that I now have a reputable company to work with! Thank you!

We found him nice and trustworthy. I always seem to have problems with Heating and Air providers but I will use them again. They didn't over charge us and knew what they were doing.

The work was done as part of an Angielist discount offer. The offer was for a heater service in fall, A/C service in spring. When I signed up for the promotion I got a call from service provider a few days after to schedule an appointment. Very friendly and helpful on the phone, and I thought the call was pretty punctual. When the technician showed up he was very nice and helpful, professional and was very good about answering questions. He cleaned my unit and told me I was in really good shape. He did not try to sell me anything over and above the discounted offer. He cleaned it and basically told me that they'd see me in Spring. I don't know what they're normal pricing is like, but overall I got a very positive response from Capital. Very polite, friendly, professional and punctual. I will likely continue to use them in the future. CONT"D: Just had my spring appointment. They called last week and set it up, I'm glad I didn't have to call them. Guy showed up, did a nice job, showed me a couple of things about keeping the AC unit in good shape. Polite, friendly, and all went smoothly. Very good buy for the Angieslist discounted price and I think I will definitely call them in the future if I need anything.

Great job. Detailed inspection with checklist that contractor left with me at the end of service. Value-add service in that he also checked both humidifiers in the basement as there was a recent recall on certain brands. Quick, efficient, professional. As he left, he reminded me that hey will call me in the spring to set appointment for 2nd part of service - air conditioner inspection.

I was very pleased with the service performed. The service man arrived on time and completed a thorough evaluation and cleaning of my heating system. I feel ready for the heating season!

The serviceman was punctual and professional. Unfortunately, I got the bad news that my furnace needed to be replaced.. I expected this, since I was told several years ago, that this furnace wouldn't last much longer. I am going to get several estimates, but if Capital Heating is in the ballpark on price, I would definitely use them.

Service was great. Appt was made online and they were able to make my 1st choice of available dates. Tech was running early that day and called me to see if he could come at that time. Tech was vey pleasant to work with and explained the deal after his work was done. Overall I am very pleased

called capital on sunday afternoon when we discovered the furnace was blowing cold air. we could not get the pilot light to fire. on the phone we were advised a tech would be to our home in about an hour. the tech arrived in a timely manner and commenced to diagnose the unit. the tech was friendly and took the time to explain his findings. we were given options for a partial parts repair or replacement choices. as the replacement parts may not address all the problems we chose to have the approx. 20+ year old unit replaced. we were provided options and all questions/concerns answered. no pressure. once we chose a unit the tech fully explained all the details including warranties, tax credits etc. he stated the new unit would be fully installed and working the next day. the quoted price was all inclusive -- included the trip out on sunday, the full install with permit, electrician etc. the next morning, Monday, I went out to walk the pup shortly after 7am and the capital truck was parked in front of the house. we had requested a morning install and they certainly honored that. immediately they went to work.. installed a programmable thermo we had...cleaned up everything. in about 4 hours bam we had heat!! everyone we dealt with was professional, courteous and completed all work as promised. would recommend capital without hesitation.

From the moment I called the staff were friendly, helpful, and reassuring that the work could be done. I was offered a same day or next day appointment. The technician (Dan) was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. Explained how long the service would take and made sure every last detail was covered to my satisfaction and beyond. I took advantage of the Angie's List special they had posted online and believe the services provided and available through Capitol Heating & Cooling are well worth the price paid. I did make phone contact with two additional Angie's List "A rated" companies and found Capitol to be not only the most reasonable with pricing, but also the most knowledgeable to assist with my needs. They will continue to be our only place to call from this service forward!

It took a couple of days to schedule the appointment but when the technician came out has was very friendly and professional. He did a thorough job inspecting and tuning up our 13 year old furnace. He noticed some work that was done by a previous company when a part was replaced due to some water leakage and minor rust by the heat exchanger. I purchased the furnace and A/C tune up special and I look forward to having them come out next spring for the A/C.

We bought the Angies List "Big Deal" which includes a furnace and air-conditioner tune-up and a 1 year service plan. It is the first time we bought a "Big Deal". The company gets excellent reviews, so we decided to try it. They contacted us by email, acknowledging our purchase and said they would contact us in a few days by phone to set up an appointment, or we could call them.. We called right away and set up an appointment the following week at a time we preferred. Kevin called us that morning telling us when he would come and came exactly on time. As soon as he entered our house, he put on shoe covering so as not to track in any dirt. I was very impressed by that. He tuned up the furnace, fixed something that was broken (even though we have a 3 year old furnace), was very thorough and careful. When he finished he said we would be called in the Spring to tune-up our air-conditioner. We are very satisfied.

We wanted air conditioning in our home and due to the open floor plan needed 2 units. Because the furnaces were old and some size constraints with adding the air conditioning we replaced both furnaces and added the air conditioners. From the get go we had problems and while I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, ultimately I remain quite frustrated with our experience. 1. On the day of initial installation it became clear that they planned to place the outdoor portion of the air conditioning units on the only side of the house that faces a neighbor, in the middle of the garden. It had not occurred to me to clarify this ahead of time but in retrospect it seems something that should have been brought up by them prior to work starting. They did change this at my request. 2. One of the units was placed in the attic. A few weeks after installation we came home to find the unit had overflowed and leaked through the bedroom below, ruining the ceiling and carpeting due to an error in installation. They were very responsive, came immediately and took responsibility for the issue. They replaced the ceiling and carpeting and re-painted. Up until this point I was happy with the work. Anyone can make a mistake but I appreciated that they were willing to stand by the work. 3. A week or so later, the air conditioning unit stopped working. A technician came out and assessed the problem and fixed it, citing another "error in installation" that wasn't caught after the previous technician despite the rather large and dramatic damage. A week or so later... the unit stopped working again. ANOTHER technician with no history or knowledge of the previous calls came out. Again we got the "it was an error in installation but I fixed it" line. A few weeks later... you guessed it. The unit stopped working 2 more times, each time a new technician came out not having been briefed on the previous repairs. I was only able to parrot back what the last person had said was the problem. Frustrated and with patience worn out I called and spoke to Jason. I asked for 10% back as I felt 4 repairs in the first month was unreasonable for a new air conditioner. He, in turn, felt my request was unreasonable and promised to call me back with an offer. After weeks of phone tag I gave up. We had to call them out again this spring. The air conditioner stopped working again, this time because a bug had crawled into a connection on the outside unit. While this was unrelated to the previous complaints I again addressed my concern and requested a partial refund, I was again ignored. I am reminded of this today because the attic furnace stopped working. After the massive leaking they installed a sensor that turns the unit off is water is detected and it had been tripped. I would not recommend this company.

Provider was very professional, timely and great to work with. Everything was completed as discussed and the workmanship was great. I haven't been able to test the system yet as I haven't completed the attic remodel but they agreed to come out when I was done and program the zoning system, install grates and make sure everything is running smoothly.

He explained everything I asked about and recommended different options on questions I had.

Everything went smoothly during the installation process. It took a few hours. They will also be doing maintenance for the first year or two.

They came in and did the work. No issues. The technician was very friendly and so professional. They cleaned up well. It was great service. I ended up buying a protection plan. $800 included two air conditioning cleanings for the unit and the parts needed for the repair. The price seems about industry standard.

It was just fine. I was very pleased. They finished the work in day in a day. Everyone was good.

We didn’t end up using them. I had another company recommended to me that did the work.

Scheduling the Big Deal was easy. We contacted each other via email. They did a very nice job. They were very prompt and professional. I was very impressed. They were trustworthy. No additional costs associated with the Big Deal.

The service was very good. It was good value.
