Very fast install and tune up. Technician did good work and cleaned up everything afterward. Will use again.

It turned out fine. I didn't deal with them. My husband did, but I think he had thought that things were fine. He was there when he said he would be there, he installed it and it seems to be fine. I would probably recommend them. The pricing was excellent.

We had contacted the vendor for a separate issue. They recommend we upgrade to a different model. Their over all service is very good.

Prompt, knowledgeable and cleaned up after himself. Would definitely use them again.

The verified the heaters - we have two units in the house - and performed the annual maintenance review.

Message from provider was prompt and easy. Problem was that the space where the humidifier was to be installed wasn't big enough because filters had to be changed and the room to do that just wasn't there. Was disappointed, but guess it wasn't meant to be.

The tech was very nice. He arrived on time and called before arriving. He explained why the unit wouldn't work on my furnace. He did suggest another type, but it was out of my price range. I will be going to them in the future for other work.

IT went very well. The installer was prompt and fast on the installation. He cleaned up after the job and explained the operation of the system. I would definitely use them again for heating or AC work.

Brent C. arrived on time for the install and quickly assessed the project. Right away he let me know that the original model I purchased through Angie's List, the Aprilaire 600M, would not work with my furnace because it has a variable speed blower. He mentioned some historical concerns with the 600M in this context and offered an upgrade to the 700A model for an additional $300. I was initially skeptical, shocked, and then upset; why would that kind of information not be listed on the deal from CAPITAL HEATING AND COOLING. In terms of if you have this type of furnace the 600M model will not work. Brent also mentioned I can cancel and get a refund through Angie's List, but I did not want to go through the hassle. Moreover, I need a humidifier installed in my home. Brent assured me the 700A is a better model and will give me the type of results I need for my home. In addition, this is still a good deal because it is provided at a lower price. Brent proceeded with the install and his work is extra-ordinary; very clean lines with electrical wiring & copper piping, and cleaned up after his self. Brent is very thorough, which is why I was baffled by this miss from CAPITAL HEATING AND COOLING. So Brent C. gets an "A". I will reiterate that my other gripe is between Angie's List and service providers (in general) regarding the descriptions of the deals/service. For example, the fine print should be replaced as "Things you need to know before buying the deal". Thus there should be two check points of that information: 1. The customer should be prompted to check a box before the purchase, stating that I read and understand the fine print (things you need to know), and 2. At the initial correspondence between the customer and service provider, the service provider should follow-up on the fine print before the service is actually scheduled. Now after all that if the customer still has an issue then they just did not read it and now Angie's list/service provider has something to reference. As opposed to simply saying "it was in there, but you must have missed it." Yes, I have heard that before from other Angie's List members. Just a suggestion to end any confusion in the future which is similar to the check box listed below. I HAVE to check that box before I can send this review.

Installation went fine. The installer was knowledgable and professional, and I was pleased that he was ableto wire it to my existing Nest Thermostat (a web enabled thermostat that allows the home to be controlled remotely and optimizes efficiency). This was in the vendor's best interest as well as it saved them the expense of the controller the unit was to include. Only regrets are that, after statements by the installer and reading the product manual provided after install, I realized that the Aprilaire 600 included in the deal may not have been the best choice for my home. I realize it's a vague line between being a customer advocate and obnoxious "Upselling" and I praise the professionalism of Capital's Sales & Installation staff in not pushing anything on me other than what was on the order, but I regret not having the option of upgrading to a better unit (especially not knowing the price delta between them). But, I must also admidt that it was surprising refereshing for a vendor to deliver exactly what I asked for without asking for (or demanding) anything more! We will consider them for future services.

After it was installed, he announced that it did not work with our furnace, and he would have to remove it and install a more expensive one. He also said that we had a defective switch and installed a new one for $200. We now have several patches on our furnace, and spent $400 more than the original estimate.

Fine in the beginning (late December 2013). In March (first week) our heat did not go on. Service call showed that the Capital Heating and Cooling Installer did not properly "twistdown and properly secure" a wire from the furnace to the humidifer. After 8-9 weeks of running (the furnace) the normal vibration caused the unsecured wire to detach. That was the sole reason we had no heat. The repair man showed us and clearly indicated this on his invoice. To correct the problem took under 5 minutes and cost us the minimum service repair fee of $85.00. I called Capital and explained the problem. The installer that did my work is no longer with their company. The owner felt it took "too long" for this to show up. Capital agreed to pay $40.00 of the bill and included 2 movie passes. My husband was not happy. The fact that the wire did not giggle free within their time has nothing to do with the fact that it was 100% responsible for our no heat. They were not 48% at fault. Do not feel we should have paid anything for an error of their former employee.

Everything went great. All of the guys were friendly and very responsive to any of my questions or concerns.

The scheduling, and the visit from the technician went very well. He was able to diagnose the issue in minutes and brought the furnace back to life in about 15 more minutes.

They did a good job and gave recommendations on my furnace's future.

Capital Heating an Cooling is a wonderful company to deal with. There tech showed up right on time and was very professional. When he found that he could not perform the work, he was very sorry and called his manager to find out what could be done. I would definitely call them again to do work for us.

Not soon after, more cold temps returned. The house was getting up to temp, but still was running what seemed to be constantly. I wrote them an email, they immediately got back to me and said, yes - that doesn't sound right. The head technician came out ASAP, pretty much disassembled the furnace to investigate, replaced a part and tweaked a few other things and here's the kicker - CHARGED ME NOTHING! Not for the part, the 2+ hours they were here, nothing! I didn't think service like this still existed in this world anymore. What an amazing crew. I highly recommend them to anyone and will continue to use their service as long as I'm in the area.

They were very good. They were professional, prompt, on time and I was very impressed with them.

I purchased the 1 year service plan and furnace/AC tune up (will write review on that purchase after it is complete in the Spring) - so I called Capital first when my furnace was making a loud squeaking noise on the night of the 1/23. After some research and talking with their emergency contact I decided to wait until the following day to have it checked out. They had someone out before 10am the next day and were able to get in, diagnose the issue and fix the motor all before my girlfriend had to leave for work at 11:30am. With my service plan discount, the total cost was $453.19 which is about average for this service in looking at other reviews and providers. The speed and professionalism impressed me the most and I am truly grateful that I was able to get this taken care of so quickly and within the budget I anticipated. They did point out that my motor works a lot harder than it needs to due to the duct work I have being the improper size for my motor and system - I requested a quote for replacing the duct work out of the plenum and in my basement, but have not gotten that yet.

Everything went well. The technician was friendly and efficient, showed up on time for the appointment, and did a thorough job with the tune up itself. In addition, the company was very proactive in scheduling the service.
