This is a great company! They installed a new Bryant Evolution Furnace during that terrible cold snap last January and I was very impressed with their professionalism and diligence.

The crew was awesome! They arrived on time, were very respectful of our living space (put booties on, etc.) even though we told them they didn't have to. They removed the old furnace and a/c and installed new. They cleaned up after themselves -- it was cleaner when they left than when they arrived! Because our house is very old and has been added onto many times, it took them longer than normal because nothing is square or simple. They stayed at it until the job was done. I never heard them gripe or grumble because they had to work late. They were a pleasure to work with. They were concerned with getting everything set up right. They tested everything to make sure it was working properly and explained to us what they were doing and how things worked. Before they left, they told us that if we had any questions, we could contact them any time. We are very happy with the way things are working. Thanks guys!!

It was so-so. The tech that they sent, I think he was trying to get extra money. He was saying it was this or that. He wanted to put 2 lbs of Freon in there, when I didn’t know it needed Freon. He quoted me one price, which I disagreed with. Then he quoted 1 lb for $253. Then he said that I’d need a brand new A/C. They said that if it wasn't running, they'd charge me for a mainenance call, but I could clearly hear the A/C running. My A/C is still doing the same thing before they came out and gave it a "tune-up" - it's not cooling as much as it was.

Fine, he found something broken, asked me to pay now for a repair he will do in teh future. I thought it was odd

Went well. They were very professional and thorough.

It turned out okay. They weren’t able to do the service because they said my unit was near the end of its life. I ended up having it replaced. I didn't use this company because their prices were 30% higher than the competition, and when I let them know that, they offered to lower their estimate -- which they should've done in the first place.

I can't speak for their work since they did not preform the job but I can say that they are not very responsive and they don't keep good track of their leads.

Mike Kellar called to say he was running a few minutes behind due to morning rush hour traffic which was fine. He arrived and insisted in taking off his shoes upon entering our home. So far so good on my first impressions. He spent nearly 3 hrs. with me which seemed a bit much though. He did the industry standard, manual J heat loss load software calculations after measuring. This determines the appropriate furnace AND/OR central a/c to be placed in your residence. This is less common than what you might think with many contractors. I'm told though that in order for this to be highly accurate, that you must know the R value's of your home's walls, windows and ceiling's insulation. I was impressed with his laymen's explanation presentation on describing the advantages and disadvantages on his products. You could tell, that Mike was very polished in his selling craft. However, once he professionally prepared and input an organized and software generated company pricing quote, I wasn't expecting such a SKY HIGH price! I had thought, I must either be missing something or this is just plain ludicrous. Really?! I think it was the latter. I won't be buying from them here. Not at these prices. Regardless of how excellent they're rated by other reviews on this list.

Everything was good. Clean, profesional and helpful. Gave some tips about setting new thermostat as well.

Unfortunately, they didn't put up to the code, so they had to come back and do some electrical work that they had not done. Even though I told them what type of furnace I had, the deal worked for the model that wasn't appropriate for my furnace. After they cut into the furnace, the guy said that I need an upgrade for extra $200. I paid that; but when the building inspector came, he convinced them to take that charge off. The charge was not appropriate as they needed to come back and fix things. They eventually fixed it and they refunded some money; but certainly it was more complicated. The building inspector for my village expected that they would take out the building permit or whatever that is. He handled that sort of directly. He responded and sent an electrician. Otherwise, it was hard to tell how it was working. I had no other complaints. It just took more time and phone calls. They did expect as I told them what kind of furnace I had. Over the phone, they could have told me at that time that they couldn't use the deal on my kind of my furnace because I had put in a new furnace. The original price was good. I didn't have any problem with the final price.

I don't appreciate being up-sold. Supposedly, my "blower motor capacitor" was "on the low range" and needs immediate replacement? Really? Yeah, either you should change the capacitor now for $200 or risk having to replace your blower motor down the line for $500 - I'll take my chances, thank you. I don't appreciate the drama attached with the attempted up-sell. I won't be calling you again. Capacitor or no capacitor. They only cost around $10 to buy and take a few minutes to replace by a D-I-Y-er. You want to charge me almost $200? No thanks.

Both services went very well - both times the serviceman was on time and very polite and friendly. Neither one tried to sell me additional unnecessary services and gave a thorough overview of my unit and how it was doing. I also had them come out this past winter to replace my furnace motor when it went out which was also done very quickly and within budget.

On time, right price, works great. Guy was great, wore booties to avoid making a mess, and in general did a nice job.

Actually, it was a mistake on my part. I thought the $29 service was for a tune up-instead it was for a service call and diagnostic. They (Capital Heating & Cooling) were very prompt in returning my email/calls and I will follow up with them for the $59 tune up special for A/C.

I called Capital Heating & Cooling back in November and spoke with Leslie. I explained what type of unit I had, PTAC (combination air/heater like in a hotel) and she knew exactly what I was talking about. She was very helpful and pleasant and got an appointment set up for me right away. When Dan came to my condo, he was prompt, professional and did his best to get the heat going in no time. At that time in November, he could not test the air as it was too cold outside (and due to the type of unit I had, could ruin the unit if tested). Dan assured me that it should work though. Fast forward to 05/11/14, it was warm enough for me to test the air, but unfortunately, the air did not turn on at all. I called Capital Heating & Cooling on Monday, 05/12/14 and spoke to Leslie. I started explaining the situation and she was able to pull up my record and knew exactly what I was talking about. She was again so pleasant and got an appointment set up for me right away on the afternoon of Tuesday, 05/13/14, between 12-1 p.m. Mike came to the condo promptly at noon. As soon as he came in the house, he put coverings on his shoes. He starting working on the unit right away. The thermostat wiring not correct. He had to refer to internet and books to figure it out. He was very pleasant, professional, kept me updated, and while it took him almost 2 hours, finally resolved the issue! Because it was a complex issue, he did provide me a cost of $305. I did pay, however, when I called Capital Heating & Cooling to ask about this, as they could not test in November, Leslie, again most pleasant, spoke to the billing manager, and told me that there should have been no charge for the service on 05/13/14. She said that they warranty their work for 1 year and since I was only at 6 months, there would be no charge. I told her that I was pleasantly surprised as I was only hoping to get reimbursed for the fee of $113 that I paid back in November. Capital Heating & Cooling exceeded all of my expectations, from superior customer service, to taking the time to get the job done right, to professional service calls. I will definitely use them in the future!

He showed up on time and was very professional. But he was unable to install the system because my furnace is an older model. He said it wouldn't be efficient for me to do to it, he was very honest and gave me some estimates on what I could get a new furnace for.

Good service from Capital, unfortunately my system is not compatible with the product that was included in the deal. No fault of anyone - lust didn't work out.

Once the technician arrived, everything went smoothly, he was very efficient and helpful. There were no hidden costs (it's an old house and this is the first thing we've installed without having to upgrade some fitting or connection). and he even left us information about a great furnace/AC maintenance service they provide. We will probably take them up on it! There was a scheduling snafu - they had an emergency and were late to arrive without a call, but they were extremely apologetic and in the end it was not a big deal at all.

It was an excellent experience. They were professional and informative. He was very clean and he explained everything in detail. He did not try to sell me stuff and we will use them again. The work was excellent and they were very neat.

It went nice and smooth. They called to say they had an emergancy call and the technician might be late. Technician called a short time later to say he would be on his way. Arrived on time. Completed the work within the time frame we were given. When the installation was complete, was shown how to work it. Humidifier works great, glad we had it installed.

The service turned out well. We had wanted one for a while and we had them do the service for us.

The service turned out very well. He was prompt, and the man informed me how it worked, and how to replace the filter, and all the maintenance. I got a manual as well, and so I was very satisfied with the service and the product. The interactions with his were very good. He was pleasant and very informative. I did not spend anything more than the $299 of the big deal.
