I contacted the company several times about one of the deals they were running for a whole house humidifier, but because I'm on a septic system I had inquired if there was a water saving version available. I was told several times by Leslie that the service manager would call me back on 11/11/14 but he never called. I called several more times asking to speak to someone about my humidifier options and nobody was ever available and nobody ever called me back as promised either. I feel I have them more than a fair chance to respond as the have had 7 weeks to get back to me, but I have never received a call back. STAY FAR AWAY from this company! If they won't respond to a call to make a sale I don't even want to know how thier service is. 01/19/14 - In response to the companys statement below... They most certainly did NOT call me back. I don't know how their records are kept or who they really talked to, but it most certainly was not me and the only # provided to them was my cell phone, so it's impossible that they would have reach anyone else but me assuming that they were calling the correct #. So not only did the company never call me back, but now they are lying about it as well. Unbelievable!

My husband was home when the technician installed humidifier. He stated the install went smooth and the tech was prompt and professional.

Technician informed me that he could not do the work b/c of the way my furnace was setup. Requesting a refund on big deal.

Brent, our service Technician that performed the humidifier installation was outstanding. He was knowledgable and very personable. He took his time, and did an excellent job. The area that he was working in is somewhat small, but because he knew exactly what he needed to do, he was efficient and it worked out nicely. They used shoe boots, put own floor mat down. I would HIGHLY recommend Capital Heating.

The company responded well to me and scheduled an appointment fairly quickly, which was great. Brent (technician) was friendly and professional throughout his time; however, he did a poor job explaining the costs. It was $345 ($69 service call and $257 for labor) for only 35 minutes of work. When I spoke to Brent about the invoice not being itemized I asked him how the company determines this cost since it seemed so high for only 35 minutes of labor. He said it was based on "average completion time" of an hour and that he is much faster than an average person. I said that seemed high even for an hour and he couldn't exactly explain why. I still don't know exactly why it cost so much. Additionally, I am very glad I went down to check his work after he left because he left the air filter OUTSIDE of furnace simply laying next to it....while the furnace was running. I reluctantly paid but would still appreciate a more detailed explanation.

Technician explained what he was going to do prior to installation, then how to use and maintain humidifier after installation. Humidifier seems to be working well at this time. Prompt and polite service over the phone and in person. Would use this provider again and recommend Capital Heating and Cooling to family and friends.

It went very well. Mike was courteous, prompt and cleaned up after himself. Explained how it works and how to change out the panel.

It was fine. The price was a little high, however, as I checked on the price after the appointment. They gave me a partial refund when I called to complain. When they finished, I also had a bit of a leak.

It went very well. We're very satisfied with Capital Heating & Cooling. They were extremely professional. They worked very hard. They did what we asked. They cleaned up after themselves. We thought they were just the number one rated business to work with. I have no complaints at all. It was reasonable. The quality was excellent. They were very timely. They're a first-rate company.

It went well. I found out I don't have a furnace but a boiler. So he charged a little extra, which was fine. He advised me I wouldn't have to do as much in the future do to having the boiler.

Class act professionalism from start to finish. Amazing customer service from the office manage, the two technicians that preformed the work and the original man who took my call. They went out of their way to get the needed parts for the job--even sent an email letting me know they went out for a parts run. Lightning fast repair job. I'm sure the Monday after a four day weekend and 15 degrees outside they had their plate full of service orders. They completed a time consuming repair in under four hours. It was so nice to come home to a warm house!

The service worker arrived on time and was very courteous. He checked out the furnance and thermostat. Difficult to evaluate a tune-up, but I was satisfied.

The air conditioner worked just fine upon arrival. After this man left, with in hours it got fairly loud. It broke the very next day! This person was more of a sales person than a technician. After the tune up, he tried to sell me a newer unit. It was a hard sale, warning me it could break at any time due to its' age. Granted it was an older unit, but worked like a charm because we had it serviced every 2 years like clock work. What makes this ordeal interesting is .... after putting my foot down on a new unit, this person excused himself saying he had to do one more thing to the unit. Go figure it broke the following day. Interesting.

I inherited a 3 family apartment 2 years ago. I thought the A/C was making some strange noises and I saw the deal and they came out. He was running late but wasn't given the correct # by the new dispatcher. He did all the checks assured me that the unit was in good working order, gave me a few maintenance tips. I ended up calling them again for an issue with the fan not turning off. They fixed it fast although the part was quite pricy..I'm thinking of having them look at a furnace issue I have in one of the upper apartments.

Completed annual tuneup using Angie's List Big Deal. Tech found that a fan was suspect and offered option to replace. We chose to fix to be covered for the winter. Another great experience with Capital Heating and Cooling.

Brent arrived in the scheduled time and was very professional. The work lasted about 45 minutes, and when it was completed he shared his findings with me. He also recommended adding a humidifier unit to our furnace to make our home more comfortable and enable setting the thermostat a bit lower. Everything about the service call was very professional and smooth. I would definitely call them again for any heating or cooling service on my home.

When my dryer venting fell apart, I remembered that I had purchased a maintenance plan from Angie's List, so I called Capital Heating. Because it was not urgent (some people had no heat ), I told Leslie I was in no hurry. We scheduled a couple weeks out. Then a few days before that repair was to happen, our furnace gave out. I called Capital, it was just before 5pm, but Leslie put a call out to one of their techs. He made it to our house within a couple of hours. Though he did not have the needed part in stock, he tracked one down and was able to have it installed in the morning. I will use Capital Heating and Cooling in the future and have already referred friends.

I was very happy with their service. They will be coming next week to do a tune up and cleaning of the furnace and then they'll be making sure that everything is okay. I don't know if I would need new parts or anything but if I would then I'd get a very good discount on that. In the spring they would do the same thing with the air conditioner and it's already been pre-paid with this special that I purchased and it's very, very reasonable considering what I had to pay in the past with any other companies. I'm very pleased with them so far. The last time I was in contact with them was just over the phone in setting up the information where I should see the appointment. Previous to that they also sent me a coupon even before I made my appointment, it was a communication reminding me that I don't have the membership and that I could set up my appointment for the tune up and cleaning and they also sent me a $50 gift card that I could use on any services, equipments or anything for the furnace, water heater, boiler, humidifier or anything I might need. Their price was reasonable because I wouldn't be able to afford anything with outlandish. They were very professional and they went over and above what they had to do. The gentleman that was here doing the air conditioner, the air conditioner is central air and the air conditioner is outside. I told the gentleman if there's anything that I could do about the settling of the cement in there to get it even again. Without me paying, he actually got it done, not the cement but the central air conditioning unit which is a very large unit, he got it to be all even. It wasn't harming anything to have it in uneven cement flab but I thought it was very kind of him and he didn't have to do that. When he was inside the house checking the furnace and A/C unit there was a small part that wasn't right where it should be. I did purchase that and it wasn't a huge purchase. I felt that he and the company seemed to be upright and thorough. They have the customer's best interest at heart. In the mean time if I have an emergency and have to have them come out on a weekend, I don't have to pay the extra amount for that. They were on time when they had an appointment with me. When I had to call them they answered right away and they answered in a very professional and kind manner.

Our appointment was set for for an arrival of between 2 & 4. Pete, the service technician arrived around 1:45. He was very personable and very professional. He wore booties on his shoes when he came in which my mom appreciated as she has cream colored carpeting. I took him into the basement and he spent the next 45min/hr going over the furnace. His report indicated that the furnace (even though 50 years old) is in very good condition and does not need any further work. He discused everything with both my mom (who is 87 yrs old and slightly hard of hearing) and me. He did indicate that there were maintenance programs available if we were interested - did not push them. He also told us that we needed to get a carbon monoxide detector for the basement. He indicated that he did have them in his truck if we were interested. I told him that I would purchase one myself and once again, he did not push the issue. I very much appreciated his low key approach. As a fun note, my mother has a Jack Russell terrier that loves to play. Pete spent a few minutes tossing her ball for her while he did his paperwork. She loved it. All in all, a very positive experience. I will definitely use Capital Heating & Cooling in the spring to get my mom's air conditioner ready for the season. Sharon Larson
