It was good. He charged me another $90. It was a little bit pricier than I thought but that was okay. He’s great. He’s a good guy.

Everyone was very courteous and professional. They did a good job of cleaning up the branches, etc. I asked them if they would also cut the firewood into smaller pieces, which I forgot to mention when we talked about the original work and they took care of that extra work at a very minimal cost. We plan to use then again in the spring to take down another tree.

It went good and I was really happy with the service. I ended up paying more because I had a lot more done. It ended up being $500 for $600 worth of work. I think that everything went nicely and he was nice to work with. He is an Arborist and knows his stuff and he did a really good job. He did what I asked for and a little more. It did seem a little expensive. I would use him again.

They came out and did an estimate for pruning each tree in my yard. I opted for pruning just the tree that needed the most work, hoping it wouldn't be too small a job for them to do quickly. On the contrary, they were very prompt and friendly and did an excellent job - I had no idea how much better my yard would look with a healthy tree out front! Fast, friendly, efficient, great clean-up, good looking results. GREAT experience.

Evan was great to work with, flexible and quick. His team removed a very large box elder tree from my yard. They knew I was sensitive about removing the ancient tree. They were courteous and did a high quality job. They worked with me throughout the process of pruning branches from another tree. They left us a bunch of wood chips (as we requested) and also a lot of cord wood. The work they provided was under the estimate because of the fast efficient work! I am very satisfied with their service and will work with them again if we need an arborist!

He took down a very tall cedar tree thqat was right near my house and trimmed my bushes and shrubs. They took it down and hauled everything away. They did a very good job, they were very polite and professional and were right no time for the appointment.

Evan and his partner showed up on time and proceeded to work efficiently and carefully to remove a limb that was precariously hanging over a home and meticulously landscaped garden. They removed a considerable amount of brush and wood through a delicate moss and stone walkway without any damage. All the material was hauled away and they even took brush that was waiting for city pickup on the terrace. Add to this, their final bill came in under their estimate, which when combined with a $100 off coupon made their price a good value.

I recently purchased this deal from Angieslist so that I could have some trees pruned at my house (the trees are mature, and I wanted someone to remove dead branches and trim the branches that were close to the house and lot line). My contact at Urban Tree Alliance was Evan Slocum. Evan reached out to me and scheduled a time to come to the house. I explained to him what I was looking for, and he sent me a work proposal. I then ok'd the work proposal, and he completed the job. Overall, I found Evan to be responsive, punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. I was pleased with the job he did and would not hesitate in recommending him and/or hiring him again.

Completed all the work covered in the proposal. Did a particularly nice job on Arborvitaes, they look natural rather than someone just lopped the top off of them.

We were excited to see this offer. UTA had done some excellent work for us earlier in the year. We love that they will work on a sliding fee scale and need to make sure more folks can get good quality care for their trees. Evan was in contact with us right after we purchased this offer, came out for the estimate, and scheduled the work within a week or so. These guys are the best! They are true professionals. We have some young native plantings around the tree they worked on and nothing was damaged. They showed up with the right equipment and did the job with great care and accuracy. You can have them haul away the trimmings or chip the wood and leave it for you to use in other landscaping. All around, a great experience! We would recommend them without reservation!

Yahoo! I have found my "forever" tree service company! Great job, very professional and knowledgeable. Am having Evan and company back in the Spring to give a silver maple some dignity.

I am so disappointed. I cannot grade this provider appropriately as there is not an A+ category. Evan and his assistant did such an excellent job that an A rating doesn't even cover it! When Evan came out for the initial evaluation of work to be done he listened, but also made professional suggestions. They came out as scheduled and did the work on a gloomy, drizzly October day. They trimmed back a whole row of tree branches that were hanging too close to the dwelling roof, pruned a tree to give it better appeal and growing ability, removed large limbs from trees that were hazardous to other outbuildings and some that were damaged from a storm, as well as removing two limbs from my roof. When they finished things were cleaned up very nicely. They even used their leaf blower to clear the sidewalks (which looked better when they finished than when they began)! I will definitely be using their services with any future needs.

I purchased one of the Big Deals and was very satisfied with service. Because of my busy schedule, I was not able to meet Evan. However, communication via email and telephone accomplished what I needed in a very short period of time. I will definitely use Urban Tree Alliance again.

I felt extraordinarily good about the service. He was polite, kind and a good guy. I liked the service but I really liked his personality and style. He was great at educating us on what needs to happen in the future regarding our trees. He is a certified arborists.

In June, 2012, Lou Reed of Tree Md, informed me via e-mail that he was turning all of his tree service work to a non-profit, Urban Tree Alliance and that the director, Evan Slocum, would be in touch with me. I heard shortly after that from Evan and he came out to give me an estimate and said he would honor the Angie's list discount. We scheduled the appointment for fall, the best time for pruning trees. Evan arrived early and proceeded to prune trees and remove brush from around my property. I checked in with him throughout his work, and he was very willing to explain and answer my questions. He is very knowledgeable about trees, and also very meticulous in his work. He spent about four hours completing the work, and left the work areas in very good condition.
