It was disappointing as we had never tried anything like this in the past and probably never will again. I don't know what the actual date of last contact was, but it has been a long time. We just gave up.

Description of Work: The service provider set October 2, 2012 to do our garage cleaning. They emailed that morning to cancel the appointment because "We have several staff members out sick with flu. Apologize. Sorry." I wrote back asking that we try to set something up for following week. They responded saying that they were short staffed (three family members were leaving the business because of life crises, etc.) and asking that I give them some dates and times. I did that and then did not hear anything again. I contacted Angie's List customer service on 12/3/2012 explaining what had happened and saying that I would try once again to schedule something in the spring before the Big Deal expired on July 25. I sent another email to provider on May 22, 2013, and received no response to my request to schedule a date to do the cleaning.

Description of Work: The service was scheduled to provide a garage cleaning on 10/2/12. They sent me an e-mail that morning stating that several staff had called in sick and they were unable to come. They also stated that they would reschedule in the near future. Per their request, I supplied a number of dates to reschedule, but they never rescheduled, also mentioned that the coupon code was good for one year. I contacted them again on July 2, 2013 via phone and e-mail, with still no response. I then contacted Angie's List and they sent them an e-mail, with still no response. I requested a refund rather than dealing further with this nonresponsive, unprofessional company.

Description of Work: In July 2012, I purchased a "Big Deal" coupon for a Garage Clean-Out and Organization. It was valid through July, 2013. My intent was to have the interior of my garage painted by another contractor after the cleaning. I e-mailed the company the first of July requesting an appointment at their convenience. I received no response, so after several days, I left a pleasant telephone message requesting an appointment. I waited a few days and still no response, so I sent another e-mail. I waited a few more days and no response, so I left another telephone message--still polite. Still no response. I looked up their web site and from the announcement on their contact page, it appears they are so busy they aren't taking any more clients. So, I sent a third e-mail, congratulating them on being so popular, and politely asking for a refund since they couldn't perform the service I had already paid for. (I've been a Customer Service Rep and I know from experience that getting angry does not help the situation, so I'm always polite. However, in this case, being nice didn't help either.) I received no response, not even an apology. So I contacted Angie's List for the refund. The reviews that appear on the business web site of The Dirt Destroyers are outstandingly positive, so it appears their work ethic must be amazing. Unfortunately, my experience with their customer service was just the opposite--terrible!

Description of Work: The provider has a website to set appointments. We scheduled the cleaning online but the provider did not show up. They said that their appointment calendar was wiped out. I asked if we could reschedule but they were not prepared to,begin scheduling yet. I called and emailed several times to reschedule but they never called back. They had cleaned our house prior to this and did a great job. Too go AWOL is not excuse able, though.

Description of Work: We purchased a Big Deal from The Dirt Destroyers Cleaning Service LLC on January 12, 2013 (Order #544397). The coupon was good for 6 months (expires on 7/12). We initially contacted them via email and a call on May 29th. They did not respond to either. We called them a couple times the past month, and again, no response. I feel like they're just trying to run out the clock on our Big Deal, so they don't have to provide the service. Very disappointed.
