MAD CITY MOVING SERVICES

I selected Mad City Moving because of the reviews on Angie's list and their willingness to do small moves. I made all arrangements by phone for my son's move and this went smoothly. On the day of the move, my son was not ready. Many things were still unpacked and his belongings were dirty and smelly. The two moving men acted very professionally and just got the job done. We were very grateful for their help. Moving is always expensive but the final bill was within the range of their estimate.

The movers were on time the morning of the move, they were actually early. We had all beds and large items broken down and ready to be moved, we also had all miscellaneous move items in the garage ready to be moved out. The prep-work on our end was a huge part of the efficiency of the day. The movers were very polite and friendly, asking to be shown around as to what is being moved, etc. They didn't take breaks and worked constantly. They had a good work ethic. They had the old house loaded up in about hours. It was a 30 minute commute to the new house. They got right to work at the new house (first asking to be shown rooms and where things will ultimately go). The movers were efficient and friendly and professional. Our only complaint is lack of quality and care in moving the large items. At both the old & new homes, walls were scratched and dinged. No items were damaged at all. They did a good job overall, we are just disappointed in the wall dings. And the lack of mentioning it or acknowledging the damage. It is curious why they wrap the soft furniture and do nothing with wood/solid furniture. Seems you would want to cushion the solid pieces. They were done with the unload in 2.5 hours. Our quote was for 7-8 hours, but we did a ton of prep work in order to be ready for them to just load upon arrival.

They packed our entire kitchen, glassware, breakables and we packed the rest of the house. They were very nice, fast and efficient. It was a 5000 square foot house and was right on budget at $4000. They were on time and I would highly recommend them. They packed, loaded, drove to our new location and then unloaded the truck all for that one price.

It went well. They were punctual, and professional. They did what we consider a good job, but not outstanding job.

The movers showed up right on time and we couldn't believe how fast they worked! There were three men and all were polite and extremely hard working. We marveled how even at the end of the move they were running into the truck to unload our things. They showed up at 9 AM and loaded the truck, drove to our new home about 1 and a half hours away and then unloaded and put everything where we asked them to and we done by 3:30 PM. Incredible! The only drawback is that the largest truck is a 26 footer and we had all ready moved a lot of our boxes by ourselves. Even without those boxes the truck was packed to the limit. Not sure if there is anything that could be done for this since this might be the largest truck available unless you go to a semi trailer. But we knew this could be an issue since we've moved many times before and planned ahead by moving the things we could. The price Mad City quoted was right on. There were no surprises or add on charges. The furniture was wrapped in blankets and care was taken to keep the furniture from receiving any damage.

The 3 men were professional, very friendly, not afraid to work. Even the rain didn't hamper the move.

We've used MadCity 3 times now. Every time I'm more impressed with the quality of service. The gentlemen moving our belongings were professional, showed on time, got everything to the destination with no damage and hustled. A company like this could easily drag it's feet just to get another hour out of your pocket book. This has never been our experience with this company. Great experience.

I was immediately impressed by my first phone inquiry response and also the individual who reliably completed my estimate for a move scheduled for September 26, 2012. The crew arrived promptly at 8 am and moved me from a 3 level home in which I had lived for 40 years to a 2 bedroom apartment -- with impressive care, timeliness and professionalism. My crew: Terry, Phil and Dave were exceptional workers as individuals and as team members, greatly expediting the process, while also responding to requests for special attention in packing and moving certain pieces of furniture. The bill came in under budget and they demonstrated integrity in honoring their commitment that if I did any packing included in their original estimate, they would deduct those labor times and materials. My final move came in under budget -- and considerably lower than the non-competitive bid of another local provider. I recommend this crew and company without reservation.

Brenda was helpful and informative in setting up the appointment. The movers arrived right on time. Greg and Jay, the movers, were excellent: efficient, experienced, fast, friendly. They were careful with the antique bookcase and other items. They set up the items in my home. I would definitely use them again.

Went very well. Staff were very professional. The guys kept up a quick steady pace on both ends of the move. I was impressed with how quickly, consistently, and efficiently they worked. They were very organized when we got to the move-in in getting all the boxes and furniture in the right rooms and places. Everything arrived safely. Can't say enough good things about the quality of rhe service and how great it was to have a painless move!

They were professional, fast, and polite. It was 95 degrees out that day and they were troopers the whole way through. They were much faster than we anticipated, and nothing was damaged or left behind. I really can't speak highly enough about them. I've used movers several times before, but these guys were in a class of their own.

They are great! I got a phone quote but was also offered to have an estimator come to our home at no charge to assess actual number of items. The crew worked so efficiently that they came in under budget. The moved the dressers full of clothes. They wrapped many of the items as they were loaded in the truck. They worked quickly and smartly. They rolled out 5 -7 boxes at a time and even had something they called a 'speed box'. This was just a giant box that they placed all of our small boxes into and then carried up the stairs saving many small trips. I was so impressed! Well work the money. So much easier than begging friends, renting a truck, spending all day doing hard labor. We did our own packing (using Frog Boxes) but they do offer packing services. They don't like to move flat screen tvs or plants but let us know in advance of the extra costs and risks if we did ask them to move them. Overall my experience was wonderful.

We moved from Madison to Janesville and hired Mad City Movers to move all of our furniture and larger items. Dave and Terry did a fantastic job. They were punctual, professional and fast. They ended up moving everything I wanted them to move plus filled the remaining space in the truck with boxes I was going to move myself in less time than I could have ever imagined. They drove the truck down to Janesville and unloaded just as quick. I am very pleased with them and would highly recommend Mad City Moving and especially Dave and Terry to anyone else who needs help moving. Brenda in the office was also very good to deal with. She answered all of my questions quickly and completely and sent me all the necessary forms/documents in a timely fashion. I had called a couple of times to change the scope I was looking for them to complete and Brenda was helpful, professional, and friendly every time.

They were very good to work with overall.

.They did a good job and made no mistakes. I used them previously and each time the workers have been very nice and have personally tipped them because I was so impressed with them. They have always been very careful and tried to work quickly so I wasn't charged more.

We were extremely happy with them. The movers that came were very efficient and down to business. They got the work done for us and I would highly recommend them.

Guys were earlier than I had expected and worked hard and very fast. I was worried about the heat and how that would affect the guys, but they were amazing!! They even agreed to move a couple of items to our storage unit even though this was missing from their order sheet. We were very happy with Mad City and would definitely use them again. Made sure we tipped the guys as well.

Roger, their contact person for any complaints, was a very nice person who seemed as though he wanted to help with the main problem: the fact that I had a long gouge in my hardwood floor from a box having been slid on the floor by the movers (a box w/ a rock embedded in the bottom). It was $600 to replace that section of flooring, and though I offered to just have them pay half--I realize they're a small business and it was not intentional on their part--they did not comply though I called several times. It's very frustrating that it cost me so much more because of an error on their part, and I strongly discourage anyone from working with them as a result.

I originally scheduled MCM to move directly from my old to my new apartment. However, two days before the move I found out I couldn't move in early to my new place. MCM was very accommodating and stored my stuff over the weekend. They gave me a new estimate, which turned out to be a little low. The movers arrived on time to move my stuff out and were very efficient and organized. I didn't realize that they charge for transit and unloading time, but the price was still reasonable. The movers were an hour late moving my stuff in, but probably because the estimate didn't take loading from storage into account. One of the movers was from the crew that moved me out, which was nice to see a familiar face. The movers placed all the stuff in the right place and didn't ding the walls or scratch the floor. They didn't lose anything in storage or damage anything in transit, even some boxes that I poorly packed.

It was a pleasant experience if moving can be pleasant. Three movers were sent. The men were respectful, extremely hard working and professional. They arrived right on time and I walked them through the house. I had boxes labeled with the rooms they were to go to in the new house, but still had to pack the kitchen stuff. While I packed the kitchen, they started upstairs and loaded the truck. They covered the carpets and put big stuffed protectors on the front door jams. They worked with hardly a break. Everything was loaded by early afternoon and there was hardly a square foot of room in the truck. We drove to the new house. The men ate lunch in the truck on the way there (I had picked up soda and sandwiches). Then I positioned myself in the kitchen and started unpacking boxes. Again, the crew worked tirelessly. We had a piano and a difficult path to get it into the walkout basement, but they did it! No complaints from the crew--ever. They were fun to work with. I would never have believed a move could go so smoothly. From start to finish, they were professional. They came right in at the quoted price. What a deal!

We worked with Arden over the phone and through e-mail who was very helpful in getting our planning organized. The movers showed up on time. They wrapped all the furniture very carefully before moving it and were meticulous about not nicking walls and doorways. Aside from that they were quick and efficient. They had to deal with a cat that hadn't yet been moved out in the first apartment, which didn't seem to bother them at all. Both men were very pleasant. I was delighted since I've had experience with another local moving company that was disorganized, unprepared for the work, who damaged both furniture and walls, and charged way more than the estimate. Part of what made this job better was the communication beforehand. Arden helped me know what they expected of me, so I was ready when they showed up. It made moving much easier than I had expected it to be. We were very satisfied.

They were a little late in getting to my house, but they were very effiicient and knew what they were doing. The move came in significantly under the estimate because we moved some of the boxes ourselves in the weeks prior to the large move. I would definitely use them again! Very professional.
