Description of Work: Chris and Roman fixed a diverter valve in my shower, cleaned up old adhesive, caulked, replaced a sink faucet and made my bathroom look better than when it was first remodeled.

Description of Work: Fixed water softener. Carl is amazing! He comes in emergencies, and he is quick with his work. His employees are also very competent and courteous. Fair pricing, too.

Description of Work: Fixed a toilet that wouldn't stop running. This was a minor job. A few years ago I had a total bathroom remodel and Lorentz did the plumbing, helped me pick out fixtures. Very personable and helpful. Reliable. I have always had confidence that what ever they job they do it right.

Description of Work: Carl fixed a leaky faucet mechanism (stem) and tightened up (and cleaned up) a plate behind our faucet control knob. He looked behind our plumbing and gave me great advice on how do fix some minor moisture damage. He told me what I could do myself and also what I should call an expert on. He also looked at some other potential plumbing jobs, gave an estimate and lots of information on what was going on. It was a good experience for me.

Description of Work: My hot water went out so I called my good friend and carpenter/handyman Rick Becker (608-354-5141) for advice. He said he would recommend a plumber and the only one he could recommend was Jim Lorentz. By process of elimination Lorentz was able to diagnose my problem over the phone and said that I could get the repair done more reasonably by a handyman. He in turn referred me to Howe Plumbing for a referral to an apropriate handyman. Howe suggested handyman Joe Haag (608-444-9861). Joe came out promptly, did an excellent job and charged me $40% less than Lorentz, a master plumber, would have.

+ -1 moreThe problems were fixed and additional information was given by the plumber as he looked around at the system in the first visit. Helpful when he was here. The issues I had were with coordinating visit and customer service on the part of the owner. While he returned call promptly, it was not clear that the appointment was actually not a specific time, but a time block. I had made it clear that I had to leave for work by a specific time, and there did not seem to be a problem. He indicated that he'd mark us first on the list. When the day came, he did not show. I called to ask about it, and received a call several hours later saying he didn't see his notes clearly, wasn't' sure what happened. No apologies and it seemed I was being put on the spot, like it MAY have been my fault.
Description of Work: Small clog remaining in bathroom sink drain and hole in J-pipe, leaking. Replaced pipe and cleaned remaining clog. One service visit prior, plumber came with assistant to find source of water pressure problem, and determined quickly that it was due to dirty house water filter. Invoice received over a month after first service. Not sure currently of price of last job.
