Greg's Rite Now Rooter LLC

Called Greg for what I thought was a simple clog. The drain was impossible to clear and needed to be replaced, but Greg gave me a great deal, very helpful referral, and came back to work with the plumber for a reasonable fee when camera work was needed.

I noticed the backup on basement floor on Sunday evening, it was dried at that time. Called Greg's Rite Now Rooter that I found on Angie's List at noon on Monday. He was able to come at 3 pm. Prompt, courteous, friendly and professional service. He was done and gone by 3:45. Cleaned up where he worked, no mess. Recommended preventative check in 14 months. Stated they would send me a reminder close to that time. Would definitely recommend to others!!

Called Greg early on Friday morning. He told me he couldn't come over that day at that point, he was all booked. He offered to show up on Saturday. He showed up at 2 pm as we planned. Very friendly, fun to talk with. Took care of business in an expeditious fashion. He cleaned up well after himself. He explained what went wrong with my sewage system and made some recommendations. Entire visit took about 1 hour. Very satisfied with the outcome. Would have Greg again in the future (hope it's not the case for a while ;-)

Greg responded to my call promptly. I thought we had a problem affecting the whole house. After checking everything Greg was able to say that the trouble was not as widespread as I thought. He cleaned the drains that needed it. After the service, everything he fixed worked great. The difference was night and day. And it cost less than I expected.. Finally Greg is a great guy and I was comfortable having him in my home. I will definitely use him again in the future.

I have only one toilet in my home, and when I was using it around 11:30 p.m. the toilet started totally overflowing after I flushed it. It flooded my entire bathroom floor, and despite using toilet plungers, it would not stop! I then turned off the water to the toilet. This stopped the flooding,but the toilet was filled to the brim with water, toilet paper, waste, etc. Since it was too late to call anyone, early the following a.m. I looked at Angie's list, found Greg's Rite-Now Rooter at the very top of Angie's list of and quot;plumbersand quot;, and phoned him around 7:30 a.m. and left a message. Greg called me back within minutes. He said he would be and quot;right overand quot;!! And, even though he lives on the other side of the lake, 25 minutes later there was Greg and his son helper!!!! Greg knew right away what the problem was, and got things cleared and unpluged in about 20 minutes!! And, my total charge was only $80.00!!! Amazing!!!! This co. (which is just Greg, I believe) provides fantastic service, low prices, and Greg is kind and polite!!! Greg's Rite-Now Rooter is the BEST!!! Thank you, Greg!

I called around 9 AM to have the sewer pipes snaked and cleaned. The night before the laundry rinse cycle had caused flooding in the basement due to clogged pipes., In the morning, I mopped all the water from the basement and then called to the pipes snaked. Greg's was punctual, arriving within the 30 minute window they had indicated that they would arrive. I pointed out where the water had flooded and explained the problem. They started cleaning the drains, but I had to run an errand so I wasn't around when they completed the job. When I got home, the drain pipes were successfully cleaned; however, I still had nearly 15 gallons of standing sewer water in three separate spots in the basement despite being charged for pumping. In addition, the pipe had been left open without the cap (which I found in the middle of the basement). They were professional and prompt, and the drains were cleaned properly; however I expected more in terms of service and satisfaction. On the other hand, it might have been due in part because I left them prior to the job being fully completed.

Greg was everything one would want in a contractor you are using for the first time. I called him at approximately 10:00 am. He said he could meet me at 2:00. I told him I had to pick up my son at 3:00 so he said he could make at 1:00. He called me to say he was running early and asked if it was okay if he came earlier. He arrived at approximately 12:20. He finished the bathroom in 5-10 minutes and then spent about 20-30 minutes working on the sewer drain in the basement. He gave me very clear information about the status of the drains. He and his son, who accompanied him, were very polite, friendly, quiet and clean. He gave me a little price break since the bathroom went so easily. Overall, Greg presented himself as a professional local small business. I recommend his services highly and found him based on the positive feedback he has on Angie's List.

These guys were great. The showed up during a blizzard to unclog my basement drain. The first truck didn't have a big enough router so they brought in a second one. The work was clean and effective and i cost lees then half what I expected to pay. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

We found Greg and son using Angie's List. There is no way we were going to hire someone again who we hadn't heard/seen a review for. We called at around 7 pm and they were at our house within an hour. They had to cut through a root that was near the road, and clear out all the nastiness that surrounded it in the basement main. They were done in less than an hour, and charged us the day rate (even though he could have easily charged us an after hours rate. There was no mess other than the residue from the initial flooding. Professional and friendly service. We will definitely be calling him if we have other problems.

I called Greg at around noon, and he was able to come to my house to work on the drain within an hour. He unclogged the drain quickly, and gave me a great price. I never would have gotten away this easy back in NY, and I'm sure that none of the big companies would have been able to do this so promptly or cheaply. This is a local small business run by a Madison native, and his commitment to excellent service shows! I will use him again if I ever get another clog!

We called Greg about 9 PM last night. He was able to schedule us for 10 AM today, but would have come out on an emergency basis if we had requested it. He arrived precisely on time and got to work. He was very professional and tidy. He got the job done in a very short amount of time and charged a very reasonable price. We will definitely call him again, if we have any other problems.

The work was done the same day that I contacted Greg's Rite Now Rooter. The drain was cleared and i was very happy with the work. The price was good and they cleaned the area in the basement before they left. I would call them again when needed.. Karen

He answered right away, came within an hour (on a Saturday). Charged me less than the minimum charge because it didn't take long. Because it was a weekend trip, he could have easily charged full or even a weekend charge. Absolutely satisfied, will use him regularly.

These guys (Greg and son Derek) were great. Answered my call right away and were over the next day. They took care of business and even offered to look at my clogged tub for free. The roto rooting was quick and they told me everything they found. Both were really very personable and professional. I'll be calling them back in 18 months!

An outstanding father and son team. Let's be honest--drain cleaning is not a fun topic. Beyond professional. Very prompt and efficient. Talk about price--I've paid double what they charge for a cleaning. Highest recommendation.

The backup originally happened a few days prior, but very minor. I thought it could maybe have been because of the weather (ice buildup? - we're relatively new home owners and don't have any experience with these types of problems). A much bigger backup happened on the night of the 23rd and I knew that I couldn't afford to call a plumber and pay for their night service call. I cleaned up what I could with a ShopVac/fan and did a little research online. I saw suggestions to call either the city sewer department or a rooter company as they are usually cheaper than a general plumber, and a general plumber usually isn't equipped with the correct equipment for basement backups. I called my local city sewer department and when I didn't get a response I called Greg (I didn't feel I could wait any longer). Turns out I live right down the street from him and pass his work truck almost every day. Him and his son were able to come out the same day and took care of my backup in less than an hour. They determined that the clog was from old grease and kitchen waste (thankfully no roots). Information was openly shared on how to prevent this from happening again and I was told to call anytime and if they couldn't help me, they would tell me about someone trustworthy that could. I would gladly take their advise in the future. I felt extremely comfortable with the entire process, and actually joined Angie's List specifically to comment on their work. I would call them again for service without a second thought.

hey determined there was a root blockage out near the street. It was a bigger task than anticipated so the had to come back the next day, durning the blizzard. They showed up when they said they would and did a great job with very little mess.

They were fantastic. He was referred to us by a plumber we've used and he did a great job. He was able to get over to our house right away after I called and stop the problem. He was very honest and gave us ways to save money in the future.

We had a clogged bathtub drain for the umpteenth time and decided to finally have the sewer rooted out (we'd been opening and cleaning the trap manually each time). Greg looked at our yard and said we wouldn't need rooting because of the type of trees. He used his video camera to verify that the sewer lines were free and clear. He cleaned out the trap and pointed out how the clogs were caused by the configuration of the p-trap, and he gave advice on how to modify to avoid clogs in the future. He went above and beyond, and charged less than the estimate, because we did not need the work we had anticipated. I imagine many others would have gone ahead to do an unnecessary rooting out instead of diagnosing so thoroughly and honestly. We plan to use him again for a more thorough video analysis when we start a planned basement remodel. We appreciate his integrity, efficiency and professionalism!

I was very pleased by how quickly and efficiently he solved my problem, but was most grateful for his advice not to use Plumber's Helper anymore. Apparently this stuff actually corrodes pipes and isn't able to dissolve the mixture of soap and body oils that was clogging our drain. I had been damaging the pipes rather than helping my problem. Greg was courteous, friendly and very much an expert in what he does. I will call him back if I need this kind of work done again.

Went great as far as I can tell. I didn't have a defined "problem" as this was preventative maintenance, but they did what they promised and were very customer service oriented. I would definitely have them back for future maintenance.

We found Greg's Rite-Now Rooter on Angie's List, and chose them because they had current reports and they specialized in what I needed to have done. The other place was a much larger, general plumber, who does lots of types of jobs. I wanted to support a small business, but I especially wanted someone who only did rooting. We emailed Greg to tell him what we had, and he emailed back within two days, saying that we should call him to schedule an appointment. I called him this morning, and he said he was available this afternoon at 2pm. I also asked what price I could expect, and he responded that, unless the job took over an hour, which they rarely do, the price would be $115. He and his partner (son) Derek showed up at about 2:10, since he actually went to the neighbor's house by accident. (He did call my home phone to check, but I was outside at the time...) Both men were very pleasant, and introduced themselves to me, my neighbor (whom I was talking with), the dog, and then the cat inside. They asked several general questions about the location of pipes within the house, etc, and then got right to work. They brought a very large machine downstairs (my finished basement) to do the clearing. They laid out heavy cloths over the floor, and I was impressed that they didn't even make a mark on my WHITE carpeted stairs and floor. (Yes, white.) Derek said that he was hitting some pretty gnarly roots (which was evidenced by the sounds of the machine). They went out farther than they thought was necessary, to make sure they really cleared all the way to the city pipes. They were very nice to tell me how everything worked, and when they were finished, showed me how well the water drained through the pipe. They finished in less than an hour, and when telling me the total, gave me the $10 discount I mentioned from their website, and with tax, my total came to $110.76. They cleaned up after themselves, not a speck was left behind - if I hadn't seen them myself, I would never have known they were here. We enjoyed a nice chat outside, and they said that they would put me on some sort of a reminder-call schedule to clear the pipes of roots again in 18 months. I would definitely hire them again.
