Dirty Ducts Cleaning & Environmental

I chose Dirty Ducts to clean my house's heating/cooling vents after doing considerable price research. They had a significantly better quote than their competitors and I had a previous experience with them from a place where I'd rented. The worker was punctual and efficient. He was also conscientious about making sure not to let my pets escape through any open doors. I was very happy with how the work went and the cleanliness of the ducts when he finished.

This company was friendly, punctual, and overall great. From the woman we scheduled our appointment with, to the gentleman who cleaned the ducts, everything went smoothly. Working with this company was a very pleasant experience.

My experience with Dirty Ducts was excellent from start to finish. The ladies who set up my appointment were curteous and accommodating to my changing schedule. The morning of the cleaning Mike arrived right on time. He went right to work checking out the basement and asking if I had any questions. It was a very cold day but he made sure to cover the open door with a tarp where the huge vacuum tube came into the house. He took great care to keep the whole house clean. I was thinking that the $395.00 was a bit high to pay but he did work for 3 hours and provided me with before and after pictures. The ducts were dirty but not as bad as I had anticipated. I would recommend Dirty Ducts to anyone needing their services.

We had 4 specific return ducts that needed cleaning. We knew that just those 4 needed cleaning since we had replaced or exposed and cleaned everything else a couple months earlier. Dirty Ducts accommodated our request and charged for the time taken. They took 1.5 hours. We knew that the returns were extremely dirty since we saw them as the system was replaced earlier. They had probably never been cleaned in 58 years. The results look good. They took before and after photos.

Jason showed up exactly as scheduled. He explained what he would be doing very clearly and then did it. Everything went smoothly no problems.

The mitigation portion of the job went fine. The rest, done by a different person went ok. My only complaint is that the job dragged on because of some family issues, him being scheduled for another job, leaving equipment at our house, having to return for a few redo's, etc. All staff were very nice and professional.

Our experience was great. Shawn Frahm was our technician and he was fantastic. He made sure we fully understood what he was going to be doing and how long it would take him. He takes his job seriously and is a true professional. Also he made sure each duct was dust free before moving on to the next. We also liked that before and after pictures were taken.

Their estimate was $1200 higher than others for similar work. 3 other companies said that the extent of their proposed work did not need to be completed to resolve the issue. They said the $95 check would not be deposited if you used them or found another proposal less than theirs, but my check was deposited anyway.

Technician called to see if he could arrive about 20 minutes early. Was a very friendly guy. Put on shoe protector booties before entering the house. Asked me to show him the furnace. He spent a few minutes getting his bearings, and then explained every single step of the process to me before actually getting started. It was a cold day, and he kindly offer to put a tent over my front door to keep the cold out (the large vacuum hose doesn't all the door to close completely). He worked very efficiently and was very conversational. He took before and after photos, which looked good in terms of the cleaning results. Gave advice on furnace filter quality/price. Even called me the next day to thank me for the Christmas cookies I gave him.

Great business. Beware of coupons! My wife wanted the ducts cleaned prior to our baby. She handed me a coupon for a $50 cleaning..., it seemed a little cheap to me. So I shopped around. There are many scams out there, and Dirty Ducts is legit! They were reasonably priced, and very good. Not only do they take before and after photos of multiple areas of your ductwork, but the vacuum system they have is in the truck...., therefore no dust in your house. Beware of the ductcleaners that are simply "guys with shopvacs". Great business.

Shawn arrived a little early and once I got home he explained everything he was going to do to make sure my ducts were clean. We had just purchased our home and while doing some updates I realized that the duct work was very dirty and despite much cleaning and even new carpet in the entire home it still had an unpleasant odor which we figured was from 47 years of the pervious owners living there. Shawn got to work hooking up his vacuum truck to the furnace and running the air lines. He had a pair of shoes for in the house and outside and made sure he did not make any mess. He explained everything he was doing and when he took photos of my ducts I could not believe how dirty they were! Shawn made sure all the ducts where clean by putting his camera in each duct and taking a photo so he could see for sure the duct was clean, if not he went back in until it was. There was a 1/2" to 3/4" of dirt in the ducts and Shawn said that the dirt in the ducts can really hold on to odors and that when they were clean the odor should be gone. When he was finishing up he made sure that the basement was swept up from the dirt that fell off the ducts and put all of his equipment away. He sealed and plugged all of the access holes that he had to make in the duct work and everything looked very professional. Shawn is very much a professional in his job and takes the time need to make sure the job is done right. We are extremely pleased with what Dirty Ducts did for us, and when my wife came home that afternoon she noticed that the unpleasant odor was completely gone. The house smells better, we do not wake up with stuffy noises and the volume of air coming out of the registers is noticeably more. We would highly recommend Dirty Ducts and to have your ducts cleaned, what a difference it has made in our home!

This was a very good experience. The cost made me hesitate before buying, but I read the Angie's List reviews beforehand and realized that there was a big difference between the really inexpensive duct cleaning services and this one....I was glad I did. The service man did a really work-intensive and thorough job of hooking up all of the ducts and cleaning them. It took him every bit of 3 hours. He was also very considerate and helpful about moving my cats from room to room. I am sure the house had never had the ducts cleaned before....it has made a difference in both the quality and efficiency of heating.

Very professional and friendly organization. First visit was to provide proposal and estimate for work needed. Scheduled removal quickly, and discounted the estimate because job was easier and quicker than anticipated.

DDs was prompt in completeing their work and in accomidating others schedules. The project manager (Justin) is fair and highly ethical in addressing issues that arose. Hope I never go through such an experience again.

While researching a company to clean our air ducts, I emailed Dirty Ducts for an estimate. Their website was informative and professional and I liked that they have pdfs available of their certification and proof of insurance as well as a video explaining the process. They also had a checklist based on the national certifying agency of what to ask/expect from an air duct cleaning service. April was prompt, professional and polite with her email replies and helped me feel comfortable and confident that I was making the right choice. After checking on Angie's List and seeing how many great reviews Dirty Ducts had, I found the added pleasant surprise of a $50 off coupon. The List reassured me that this was the right company and after hiring them, I will happily recommend them to others. Jason was thorough and knowledgeable and did a great job with the work as well as explaining the process to me. He took time to answer my questions and made sure I knew what he was doing (and why). I'm very pleased with my experience!

residential.The ducts had not been cleaned since we moved into the house in 1979. Dirty Ducts did an excellent job in my estimation. They used state of the art heavy duty equipment and technique. They were here for 3 hours. They provided me with before and after photos of the duct interiors that showed how dirty they were before and how clean they were afterwards. They described the process and showed me what they were doing. They were friendly and professional. I understand they do a lot of commercial work in addition to residential.

Seemed to go well. Time will tell, but I'm satisfied at this time.

It would have taken us a solid two or three days of grueling work in hazmat suits within a properly ventilated enclosure to achieve success. Dirty Ducts gave us a prompt, reasonable estimate, listened to our concerns and brought a friendly and totally professional crew of five just two days later. The foreman was personable and thoughtful; attention to detail, efficiency and thoroughness were impeccable. When their truck was full of bagged debris, a backup service was seamlessly ready to transport the rest. It was a huge and timely relief to witness such exemplary team work, versus slogging grudgingly through a thankless task. Dirty Ducts saved the day and played a key role in furthering the momentum of the bigger job. Kudos and A+ Rating from me.

I communicated with them via telephone and e-mail. They were helpful and responsive with the scheduling. The technician arrived on time and was very experienced. This company knows what they are doing! they do the work both in your basement and throughout your home. All they need is access to your heat vents and your basement. It took less than half a day, they give you before and after photos. No mess, no fuss just exactly what you pay for. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs this service. Interestingly they were also on a short list of providers given to me by my HVAC contractor.

Company employees were prompt for the original estimate, for the asbestos removal and for the re-insulation. Everyone was courteous. My boiler contractor was pleasantly surprised with the bid I received from Dirty Ducts, which also bettered the other bid I received.

Dirty Ducts was a great company to work with! They were very responsive from start to finish. We had a lot of questions since we had just purchased the home and we weren't sure what we wanted to do with some of the spaces. Dirty Ducts did an amazing job of removing asbestos from the piping and cleaning mold from a wall in the basement. They also demolished a chimney that we no longer needed and saved us from having to deal with all of the dirt and dust that project would have involved! We were very happy with the work.... in fact, they left the basement even cleaner than they found it! Thanks, Dirty Ducts, for great work and for responding to all of our questions! We highly recommend your work!

Overall, this business's quality was very inconsistent and it depended greatly on the different crews they sent for the different tasks. For example, the drywall removal/mold remediation crew was very carless and left a lot of damage in the wake of their work (wood floor scuffs & dents, door frames nicked, sloppy reinstallation of crown molding, broken screen door hinge.) When we called the company to take care of it, they were responsive and apologetic. While the repaired everything, it was a hassle to have to deal with that and the repairs (e.g., wood filler in nicks in an newly finished door frame) are much less desirable than not having the damage at all. However, the crew that did our drywall installation and repair of the bathroom fan was great. They took their time, were respectful of our property, did fine work, and actually fixed what the other crews damaged. Also the duct cleaning itself was good and we were happy with that. We chose this team based primarily on price they beat competitors by a long shot because we could bundle a lot of the work together. However, that affordability means that it won't be the same team coming each time and so consistency isn't a given. I felt like I had to check in on their work way more often that I wanted to in order to ensure the quality was to our satisfaction. The company was really good to deal with, and as I said, they righted all their wrongs. Its just frustrating that may mistakes and damage could have been avoided if the work crew was just more conscientious and respectful of our property.

We had some construction done on the house, so I called and had Dirty ducts clean out a few of the ducts near the construction before I turned on the furnace for winter. We didn't need to do the whole house and they did a great job on the few ducts they cleaned out. He also showed me before and after pictures so that I could see the results.

They were really nice and easy to work with. They were fair in their pricing and their service. If there was any issue, they addressed it right away. They did really good work.
