Dirty Ducts Cleaning & Environmental

I'm allergic to dust mites, so this service is a big deal to me. After they left, I could breathe without sneezing. They came and cleaned out our ducts promptly and efficiently. The crew was professional and kind. Even told us that we could probably wait another two years before cleaning again, based on the level of accummulated crud. Great service!

Our 1950s era house had multiple layers of asbestos-laden flooring in the bathroom. We had Dirty Ducts come in and remove all the flooring before we started a bathroom remodel. They showed up on time and were done slightly faster than they estimated. Since we were working with asbestos I was somewhat nervous, but they were extremely safety conscious and did a great job of sealing off the rest of the house. We are planning a bigger job in the future of removing kitchen flooring and will definitely be using Dirty Ducts again for our floor removal needs. Based on my overall experience with the company I would also generally recommend them for any other work.

The company was responsive and easy to work with. We scheduled the work and they arrived when they said they would and completed the work as requested.

Very professional company. Quite an impressive operation. April is a gem to schedule with and very helpful in answering questions regarding the process. Mike (I think) did a great job at our house and explained what he was doing at all times. He also took before and after pictures of our duct work. Yikes! Hard to believe how much dust and cobwebs were in them before. We would highly recommend Dirty Ducts especially in an older home and also after a major reno project that we undertook inside the house.

Prompt & professional. Considerate of our 5 cats & made sure they couldn't get out. Our ducts are clean & less pet hair is circulating through the house. Highly recommend. Tip: Change your air filter a day or so after they have finished, it gets filthy quick from all the loosened dust & lint.

The technician was very prompt and complete and left things nice and neat. Most important, I was amazed what a big effect the cleaning had on my heating system. CLEANING YOUR DUCTS HAS A MAJOR GOOD EFFECT! Prior to the cleaning I was skeptical that I would notice the effect of the cleaning. But I was very wrong. It had a major positive effect on out heating system to have the vents cleaned which I had never done in the 30 years I have had this house. aceWe had been having some problems with our furnace this winter after switching from propane to natural gas. The furnace would work properly for a while. Then the heat would turn off and we would need to start the furnace manually to get it to restart. This would sometimes repeat several times a day. The furnace repair guy found nothing wrong with the furnace but the air flow through the furnace was seeming restricted by the return vents so the furnace air was getting too hthere were major blockagesot and a safety shutoff would kick in. I tried making sure all our vents were unblocked. We had been a bit casual about letting stuff get stacked or fall in front of our return ducts. It helped very little-- the problem was still there. The furnace repair guy recommended we have our ducts cleaned. I was skeptical dirty ducts could cause that problem. ajorWe had Dirty Ducts come clean our ducts. He showed me the before pictures of the dirt laying in the ducts and I realized there was dirt there. But it wasn't like they looked blocked or anything-- just dirt laying on the ground. He showed me the 'after' pictures and, yes it was cleaner. But it didn't seem likely to me that it was enough different that it would matter on our problem. I WAS WRONG. After he left the heating system was greatly improved-- night and day difference! No more problems with the furnace shutting off. House generally warmer and more evenly heated. Distant rooms that had always been considered the "Cold Room" were now pleasantly comfortable!! I highly recommend getting your ducts cleaned. And DirtyDucts did a great job for us.

Mike, the technician, arrived precisely on time. He explained the process thoroughly and answered a few questions in detail. Throughout the entire process he was extremely contientious and careful with household flooring, walls, furnishings and decorations -- no mess, no fuss, no damage. The duct cleaning results were more than obvious from the before and after pictures he took and left with us (and we have noticed a significant decrease in dust in the home). The entire process took about four hours from arrival to departure. I would definitely recommend Dirty Ducts - and Mike, specifically - to anyone who asked.

They were great. They did a really good job. They took pictures of before and after of all the ducts so that they could show us everything that they did as well as prove that they cleaned which I thought was really helpful. I recall the price being pretty reasonable and fair for what we got. The quality of work was really good and I was happy with it. I don't recall having to wait or having anything to arrive with it so it was all satisfactory.

They were prompt and did a really nice job. The guy was polite and courteous. He was right there when he said he would be and was done in about the amount of time he said he was going to be done. I can't really think of much that we disliked about it. They're a little pricey than I would have liked.

One technician came out and spent around three hours completing the job. They were a bit pricey but provided quality work.

I originally called Dirty Ducts to help clean up after finding mice activity in our basement and attic. Ryan did a very thorough inspection, and in the process also discovered a mold problem in the attic. We came up with a game plan, and April worked with me to get a time and date that fit our schedule. Then Nick and his crew came and did an absolutely outstanding job getting rid of the mice and mold mess. I gave them a "B" on price because they are not cheap, but the flip side of that is that the quality of the work exceeded my expectations.

We recently moved into an older home and due to my husband's allergies wanted to get the ducts cleaned. I contacted them for an estimate on both, but due to some miscommunication I was quoted a price for the whole house duct cleaning only. Sean came initially to clean our ducts. He was knowledgeable and he did a great job cleaning them, but to be honest was a bit off-putting with jokes about kicking my husband out of the house. When I contacted Dirty Ducts about whether the dryer vent was done later that day, we realized our miscommunication and they offered to clean the dryer for free! Jason came today to clean the dryer vent, and he was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I would hire them again, I think they did a great job. My husband has noticed a decline in his sneezing, and I have noticed less dust throughout the house.

Kept it contained according to hazmat standards. Their people were pros and wore protective gear. They were scrupulously clean and left no mess. Also great customer service. Nice people.

The service was good, they cleaned it really good. Two guys came out and it took them about five minutes to clean it. I would tell friends they are good and clean everything up. Work fast and don't sit around.

When they came to clean the heating ducts, they did not cover the vents on the first floor before blowing the vents on the second floor. We were also home when they arrived and they did not warn us that we may want to cover the vents or at least our furniture. My previous experience was that the service provider took care of this. After the service was complete, we ended up with a huge mess; dust was settled on every surface; including our 1 year old's toys, which we would have put away/covered had we been warned. We spent hours cleaning up afterwards. We would have paid more to have the job done more professionally or would have taken the time ahead of the service to cover our furniture rather than having to clean it after. In hindsight, we did have some mess (i.e., lint and dust) to clean up in the basement after the initial service, so we probably should have found someone else for the ducts.

The tile and mastic removal appears to have been done well. We were impressed how thoroughly they removed the tile underneath the water heater and utility sink legs. They did not do any follow-up air or floor testing to verify we are asbestos free and later told us this is not done outside of schools, etc. The work crew was professional, and called immediately after completion of the work to give us an update on how the job went. Our health related follow-up questions about the job were answered very slowly and we were left confused about the safety of working and living in the area of removal. They later completed the asbestos removal/disposal documentation and sent a copy of that page. My primary complaint about working with Dirty Ducts was that their proposal and invoice were not sufficiently detailed. This caused a couple problems. Based on our initial phone conversation, we thought that follow-up air testing was included in the asbestos removal price, but later were told that air testing is a separate cost. If the proposal/work order/or bill had been more detailed, we would have noticed the omission. When I asked for a breakdown of the asbestos removal price (like labor, materials, disposal, and overhead) they initially refused, and then told me three times that they would send me that information, but never did. Due to the lack of transparency in their proposal/invoice, I do not know whether the work was a fair price. The invoice amount was the same as the proposal amount. However, the written proposal was a $1000 more (33% more) than the verbal estimate, even though the square footage was actually less than initially discussed, and there were no additional complications like paint or carpeting. Definitely get the quote/proposal in writing and ask questions far ahead of time.
