Dear [member name removed], I am glad to hear that you were happy with the work that you were provided. I am sorry that you found the proposal to be confusing. If you would have called prior to having the work done, we surely would have answered your questions. We received three phone calls on quoting your project. When I offered to come out and look at the home to give you an in person price, you declined and said that would not be necessary. The first time, your wife [member name removed] called into the office. She was unsure about the total square footage to be removed and gave us a ball park. We then gave her a price back based on that square footage to be removed. The second call into the office, was you. You did not know what price she had been originally quoted, and were still unsure about the exact square footage, but you wanted a specific day and wanted to get it on schedule to save that exact spot. At that time you thought it was 1,000 square feet to be removed, and I gave you a price based on 1,000 square feet. I reserved the size of crew that was needed for that job to save the date, and you stated that you would call me back after you had a chance to go to the house and measure the area exactly. On your final call, you stated that you had measured the area, and it was now only 900 square feet. I then typed up the proposal, and sent it over. Please see below for what your proposal looks like. I am sorry that there were questions, but we try to cover what is included and what is not included in the proposal, so there are no questions. Now, after the job is complete, you are questioning the pricing and thought it was $3000.00, not $3980.00. It was your hand writing that wrote down $3980.00 and then signed underneath it. I am not quite sure how else to explain the price. We type it in number form, then spell it out, and then make you write it out above your signed name, which is what happened. We do not scam, and do not make it "difficult" to figure out the price on our proposals. You chose us because of our Angies List reputation, we would not have that reputation, if we tried fooling people, that is not the kind of place that we are. We did exactly what was on your proposal to do, and as stated by you, did a good job. Now, you would like to pay less, and because of it, we have a bad review.
