Description of Work: Cleaned our ducts after our pet had an accident that went down from the first floor to the basement - what a mess. They pointed out some problems with our furnace which gave us time to shop around for a new furnace. Very nice people.

Description of Work: Mold testing and evaluating. They were very thorough, professional. They gave very good feedback and kept in touch throughout the process. Unfortunately I didn't end up using them because I didn't get the house, but the initial evaluation was very professional and I appreciate all the information that was provided.

Description of Work: attcalle .removed moldý drywall from leaks in the roof in 2 rooms. They sprayed the wood (2×4's...) with a sealant, then replaced the drywall, taped it, and came back the next day to paint. In one room, the person doing the drywall called to my attention an opening in the roof that would have allowed rain to get into the attic. I was able to contact the roofers and have them fix the roof before any damage was done.

Description of Work: They were on time, and finished on time. They left me before/after photos, which were very impressive. My only unhappiness was that they parked the truck in my driveway and it was running (to operate the system) and when I came home the entire house smelled of diesel fuel. So ask them to park as far away as possible.

Description of Work: I'll provide some context saying that I've had different HVAC cleaning 'deals' through Living Social and Groupon over the last 5 years, with differing levels of professionalism. Those groups seemed to want to get in the door with a coupon, then sell you on a big service, upwards of $500. One of them pulled up in an unmarked van(!), and after that experience, I joined Angie's List so that I'd only be interacting with vetted HVAC professionals. | |The Ducts folks were very prompt in following up in email after I signed up for the dryer vent cleaning deal. I gave them a B for promptness only because on the day of, the guys were running 30+ mins behind, and didn't think to call me. I called the office number and they let me know a revised ETA. | |Overall, I had a very good experience. When they arrived they were quick, professional, and pleasant. Since it was winter, they offered to come back in Spring, once the snow was off the roof, to complete the vent outdoor inspection (at no cost). | |I will trust them in the future for future HVAC service, and am also grateful Angie's List exists - no more groupons/living social coupons for professional services!

+ -1 moreVery good experience. Prompt attention, both over the phone with the office and scheduling and making visits to evaluate and then do the work. Very professional and made reasonable recommendations without needing to test for asbestos. They do not test because it poses a conflict of interest, but we knew what we had, so no need to pay a third party tester. Very pleased. My husband did *not* trust anyone in this business and saw no need to do anything until this fella came. Marital harmony restored. :-)
Description of Work: Encapsulated some portions of asbestos covered pipes that hadn't been done. Thoroughly cleaned entire basement of lose asbestos from asbestos covered pipes having been unprofessionally removed in the past.

+ -1 moreThe positive: I had to call back and reschedule several times, and they were very nice about it. The negative: quality and price. They charge strictly per square footage (not per vent like some others); $400 for an 1,800 square foot house like mine, add or subtract $25 per 500 square feet. My old house only has about ten vents, half what most houses that size would have, but they were firm on the price. Then, the guy couldn't get a vent cover off, so he didn't clean that vent/ductwork, and again no discount. He left a mess of black specks on the floor and walls near several of the vents, and left without putting some of the vents back on the wall! Also, although the ducts may have been cleaned, the vent covers ended up dirtier than when he arrived (black stuff all over them). I called and complained about how I was thoroughly unsatisfied, especially with the mess that was left behind that I spent an hour and a half cleaning, and they eventually gave me $100 off (I still paid $300).
