Description of Work: They tore out and removed a large section of sidewalk and the step up to the porch, and repoured those. They covered the new concrete with an insulating blanket to help it cure. They provided written instructions for caring for the new concrete. And best of all, they came when promised, and did what they promised for the agreed-upon price.

Description of Work: The service we hired Cliff's Custom Concrete to perform was pouring a concrete parking pad adjacent to our current two car driveway. They were very easy to work with and reasonably priced. I received the estimate within 24 hours of meeting to discuss the job. I had asked for an estimate from another provider as well, and, while the price was fairly similar, Cliff's bid was much more detailed in terms of what would be provided (E.g. depth of pad, amount of materials to be used, etc.). Both bids were significantly less cost and had greater detail than one received earlier in the year from a much larger concrete company. They matched up the seams with the current driveway which improved the look of the finished product. In addition, they emailed extensive direction they recommended regarding they way we should care for the driveway once installed. I highly recommend them to others.

Description of Work: they did a patio for me in the back yard. after the estimate they worked with my schedule to get the patio poured before I had a hot tub delivered. because of bad weather they had been behind but were able to get to my job in plenty of time. they arrived on time on the day & got right to work. they were able to work with my electrician to get conduit in before the pour & they were done by 1pm. they did a fantastic job & I will definitely use them for the rest of my concrete projects.

+ -1 moreCliff & his partner were great. In fact, he was the only one of 3 concrete companies that returned my call (very promptly) --all from Angie's List, too. He quickly put my mind to ease about the small but custom project being much easier than I thought it would have been. He took care of everything in 3 short visits including removing all of the jackhammered rubble. I would call him in an instant if ever I needed another cement project. The foundation took a bit longer to set up than previously thought, but only by a couple of days. And his price was exceedingly reasonable. Couldn't have been nicer all around.
Description of Work: Cliff poured a foundation for an approximately 20' long garage expansion project. Project entailed jackhammering old concrete, augering of several 4' holes, setting forms and pouring new cement approx 16" wide, 20" long and about 8 "deep.

+ 0 moreWe made the original arrangements to have this work done last fall. However, after paying the first half down, we had an automobile accident which caused us to ask Cliff if he would return our deposit; we told him we planned to have the work done in 2010. He promptly returned our deposit. On to this year: the job went very well. Cliff kept us informed as to when he would be coming, and came when he said he would. When he wasn't able to come because of rain, he let us know about that, too. They came about noon on the 13th and finished the driveway by 5. They returned at 7 a.m. on the 14th and did all the work for both sidewalks just after noon.
Description of Work: Excavated for, put down a gravel base for, inserted rebar, ordered the cement, brought the necessary machinery, and (with the help of 2 employees) poured a driveway and two sidewalks for us.

+ -1 moreVery well. When he provided a bid he spent the time asking questions and offering suggestions. He returned a bid promptly. The work was delayed but only because we had a very, very wet spring. Once a date was rescheduled he was on time and got the work done as planned. He met me very early on the morning the work was to start to go over again what I was looking for. They ran into a problem with tree roots and he consulted on options before continuing. They even gave a 10% discount due to other work being organized in the neighborhood. They did not have to do this because we had signed a contract with them before that effort was undertaken. Their offer to do so was an extra plus. I highly recommend Cliff's Custom Concrete.
Description of Work: They replaced a 50 year old concrete driveway and sidewalk and added a pull out.

+ -1 moreI contacted Cliff for an estimate on a Friday; he suggested a time Sat afternoon. He did not show up to the appointment he had arranged and never bothered to call to apologize or reschedule. Unreliable, would not recommend this company. I wasted a Saturday afternoon waiting for a contractor who never showed. Definitely going with someone else.
Description of Work: Contacted for sidewalk replacement.
