Job was done when he said it would be done and fit with the work I was going to do on tub. The cost was much less than we expected for the excellent work done. Thanks Chris!!

Chris quoted us a price of $200 for the removal of the old sink and installation of a new sink. We had the new sink and a new faucet. I’m guessing it took longer to get the old sink out than he estimated, and he needed to slightly expand the countertop opening for the new sink. Installing the new sink seemed to take a lot of time, as there were lock-downs that he was unfamiliar with. While he was installing the new sink, we discovered the old water filter would not fit on the new water filter faucet which we had. We could have left this go, but Chris needed to run to another job and promised to be back in 3 hours. He said he needed to stop and get some new piping for under the sink, so we asked him also to pick up a water filter that would work with the new water filter faucet that we had. Chris came back with the needed materials, finished up the installation (which grew complicated because the drain holes from the new sink were further back than the drain holes from the old sink), and left by 5. Prior to leaving he did not talk with anyone about price. Two weeks later, I was very surprised, and disappointed, to have received an invoice from Chris with a charge for sink installation of $380, not the $200 we were quoted. There was no explanation or justification for the dramatic increase in price over what we were quoted. There was also a charge of $65 for the new water filter, a water filter that lists for $20 on line. I called Chris, left a message, and Chris called back and left a message, again with no explanation or justification for the dramatic increase in price. I then used the complaint resolution process offered by Angie’s list. After filing the complaint, Chris did call and I told him that you can’t just almost double what you quoted a job at without an explanation to the customer. We would have been open to some additional charge, but we were shocked that Chris did not find it necessary to even provide an explanation for the increased cost. He did reduce the cost of his labor by half and I agreed to pay the full mark up price on the water filter. I feel that this was a fair resolution and I hope that Chris does also. We do feel that the work that Chris did was very high quality, and he clearly cared about doing a good job with the sink installation and the water filter replacement. We would use him again, but would seek to be much clearer about what is included in his quote.

Chris is a skilled and thoughtful plumber. He let us know what did and did not need replacement. I highly recommend him.

He was able to come the next Monday after I called on Friday. He returned my message the evening I called and suggested a couple times he could come in a message. I left message re the time I wanted. He just brought over the softener and put it in. His solder work is so fine that you could put it out in the open. He was very clean and professional. Just a nice guy who is a master plumber working for himself. Nice that you know who is going to show up when you call him. Super good experience.

I was replacing the counter top on my bathroom vanity. The faucet also needed replacing. decided to hire a professional instead of a Do-it-yourself and boy am I glad I did. Things in my house tend to be and quot;not quite standardand quot; and apparently the plumbing is no different. Chris came and disconnected the old faucet without a problem, then came back the next day to attach the new one. Of course the fitting didn't quite work. He went to the nearest hardware store to see if they had the right piece - they didn't - so he had to go somewhere else the next day, and then make another trip to my house to attach the faucet. Considering he made three total trips to my house for this little faucet project, I really felt I got a bargain when I got the bill for $185. Just a nice guy to work with.

Chris arrived on time, asked me a few questions and went right to work. He is the opposite of the and quot;plumber-pantsand quot; stereotype! Neat, well-dressed, articulate--a master plumber. If there was water on the floor, or any sort of adhesive mess, I didn't see any of it--he cleaned up the work area perfectly. Most importantly--the leaking stopped and I will now return to routine water bills! I would recommend Chris Elke to anyone requiring plumbing services.

He is simply a very friendly, amiable guy. His prices are good. Normally I think a lot of and quot;handyand quot; homeowners do stuff on their own because they think calling a plumber will cost too much. If that sounds like you--you should call Chris, just get an estimate---and I think you'll be happily surprised at the affordability of bringing in a pro. I know I was.

He does excellent work and is very knowledgeable. He's a busy guy and is hard to get. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

I have been very pleased with them. I had remodeled a bathroom largely myself, but I needed help plumbing the replacement tub; he helped me do the plumbing for the replacement tub shower. He also helped moving some of the plumbing venting that traveled through the attic in preparation for the insulation work that was done. It has been a delight working with him. He is very efficient, clear, competent and helpful in terms of communicating my options or what has happened. He knows what he is doing and gets on with it. I would rate him highly.

Chris Elke is an excellent solo practitioner master plumber. He is efficient, reasonable, and honest. When I had problems with an older toilet, he suggested possible adjustments to try first, versus rushing in to replace it. When I did end up replacing it he offered recommendations on brands to consider. I've used Chris on other projects, including getting a water heater replaced and new bathroom faucet installed. His bid for the water heater installation was substantially less than another reputable company I've used in the past, for the identical unit. He did a very good job on the installation and became my regular plumber on that basis. Everything was cleaned up, replaced and recycled. He is prompt and returns calls. I have recommended him to others.

Chris did a great job. His estimate was accurate and he was able to make the repair the day after he gave the estimate.

He had a fair price. He was honest. He was also a diligent worker.

Came out quickly, spent a lot of time troubleshooting the cause of a leak. Explained options and recommended the one that meant less money for him. Very honest

Called made an appointment convenient to me within 2 days. He picked up toilet from store. Called 1 hour before to let me he was running about 1/2 late. He was prompt, professional, and kind. He did the work quietly in about an hour and cleaned up after himself. He hauled the toilet away. He could have charged more and it would have been worth it. I will use his plumbing services again.
