Description of Work: I called about a clogged kitchen drain on Thursday morning. Butler said they'd come to my home on Friday morning, first thing. I didn't call anyone else. At 7:40 on Friday morning, Butler called to say oops, they could not come . That left me with almost no window of time to call anyone else for a drain repair before the (expensive) night/weekend rates kick in, This is a trick.

Description of Work: I replaced 2 toilets, had sink removed, other work done as well. Butler plumbing is a family institution: the original Mr. Butler was my parents' plumber, I inherited the nephew and grandson. Their work is always problem free and lasts a long time.

Description of Work: Replaced valves at utility sink in basement, replaced broken hose valve. They were punctual and professional, got right to work, did the job. Most importantly, they answered the phone when I called. I tried nine other plumbers who did not answer the phone when I called. These guys answered the phone, and I'm glad they did.

Description of Work: Bathtub/shower drain was clogged, and there was a metal rod inside which I'd never seen before, blocking any attempts at plunging or snaking. Turns out it was the stopper (a strange one). He readily removed it (I could have done this if I'd known what it was) and removed a clog of matted hair. Also examined water heater and advised on how to get it operating. In and out in 17 minutes, very courteous and friendly. Butler Plumbing is our go-to source, both in our home and office.

 + 0 moreBy pure luck, Butler WF Plumbing was working somewhere in the area of our home when we called. They were just leaving one job and on the way to another. Our house just happened to be in between and they stopped to snake out the commode for us. I thought that was very nice of them.

 + -1 moreThis was a morning job. All the parts were replaced. If you own a toilet of this vintage and it is located off your 1st floor hallway you know that noise is an issue. In the 20 some years I've lived here this is the quietest this toilet has ever been.

 + -1 morePlumber arrived on time as scheduled and fixed a faulty toilet that had been annoying us for a year. He also set the toilet solidly into the floor, something the tile contractor had not been able to do. He also completed the two other tasks quickly and expertly. We were highly satisfied.
Description of Work: Toilet in the master bathroom flushed only every other time the handle was pressed. The toilet base rocked when it was sat on. The handle in the shower stall was very difficult to turn; plumber reset it. The faucets in the utility sink in the basement were stiff and hard to turn. He fixed them both.
