Description of Work: Cleaned our fireplace. He did a good job. Only problem was he accidentally broke a ceramic plate in our fireplace insert which he said would not affect its functioning. It does not seem to have made any difference in how the fireplace worked. He offered to pay for a new one if we wanted.

Description of Work: We called this chimney "specialist" and he said he would return our call in 3 days. He called back in 4 days and was very confused about the job site to even look at the problem. My husband told him no fewer than 3 times how to get to the house and he just didn't get it. Finally he asked if we had another bid on the job. When we told him yes he said he would have to charge mileage to even go there for an estimate, then said if we had another bid already he wouldn't even bother finding the job. That's pretty poor service.

Overall I am very pleased with the work Peter did. He was courteous and professional and left the work site very neat.
Description of Work: I needed tuck pointing on a chimney. I had trouble finding a mason who would even return my calls. Peter actually answered his phone and came out the same day to give me an estimate. I rated his price as a "B" because I had no other estimates to compare it to, but it seemed fair. The job also required more work than was originally estimated so the actual price was slightly higher - about $100.

The job was a complex one in an old house, forcing considerable revisions in the job and original estimate as we proceeded. The contractor was extremely knowledgeable and skilled in this work and was very responsible and reasonable throughout.
