BADGER CHIMNEY

The person who did the work was courteous, professional, and pleasant. He was about 45 minutes late, which was a problem for us as we had to leave for an appointment, and I had left work early in order to meet him at the house. He was thorough, and seemed to do a good job.

We called several chimney sweeps from the list provided by Angie's List. We were in a hurry because we had just had a smoke problem with our wood stove. Of all of the sweeps we called, Peter was able (willing?) to come on short notice and on a weekend. He promised to call on Saturday afternoon as he was wrapping up another to tell us when he would arrive. He called, but it turned out that his job went longer than expected and that would put him in the dark if he came to do ours. He offered to come Sunday mid-morning instead. He arrived as scheduled and spent about 1.5-2 hours on the project. We talked about the stove and how it works before he started. He cleaned the chimney, catalytic converter and air intake ducts. It turns out the smoke problem we had was dues to a clogged intake duct filter. He did what appeared to be a thorough inspection of the equipment. He noticed a problem with our rain gutter cover and fixed that while he was on the roof and also commented on the condition of the roof. We felt he was very thorough, on time and reasonably priced. We will definitely use his services again.

Very thorough job done. Called to let me time that AM he would arrive but still 1 hr. later. Given the quality of work and price, I would use him again as long as I have a schedule that permits being able to wait.

Overall I was satisfied with the work.

I purchased the Angie's List deal for a chimney sweep. He did a really great job but the only thing that rubbed me wrong is that during the job, he complained that he would have charged me more for it. Well at no point during setting up the appointment or on the coupon was there any mention of the size or shape of the chimney. As far as I am away my fireplace/chimney are standard. That just turned me off to him.

Everything was fine. They did a good job. No complaints.

A bird got caught in the stovepipe for my wood stove, and I didn't see how to get it out. Pete came by the same day I called, gave the stove a thorough cleaning, and got the bird out and released it outside. He also did a fine job sweeping the chimney, and looked at another wood stove I had some questions about free fo charge. I called him a few days after the work was done with a chimney question, and he was happy to talk on the phone and gave me some useful pointers on how I could take care of the issue myself.

We had just moved into our house, and wanted to make sure that our chimney was clean and ready to use. Peter showed up on time, checked out our chimney and climbed around our roof and informed us that nothing needed be done... our chimney was perfectly clean. Rather than take our money and run, he instead offered to come back and install chimney doors for us at no cost, and also spent a bunch of time to see if our chimney was ready to be turned into a gas fireplace, should we want to do that. All in all, we would highly recommend using him again.

He was on time, actually he was little bit early. He did a good job on the project and he seemed to enjoy explaining every step of what he was doing.

They are the only chimney service we will call. Others we have tried don't live up Badger Chimneys level of excellence.

Not much to tell. We made an appointment. The fellow arrived and did the work. Asked some questions, cleaned up and left...

The guy was very polite, and he cleaned up very well. He also looked at a cracked flu tile that we had, and told us that it would be okay for a while. He could have charged us for that but didn't.

Difficult to reach Peter to set up appointment. However, he was timely in arrival and services performed were of excellent quality. will definitely use him again.

I was very impressed with them; they were here and left when they said they would and there was no clean up afterwards; it was like they were never there. I will use them again in the future.

Went very well.. Was extremely thorough and although I was not expecting it to take as long as it did (probably because I asked for other estimates), i was very pleased with the quality of work.

Well don't expect to set your clock by his arrival. He was (very) late, but did call and let us know he was running behind. Overall the work seemed good, no mess inside, he was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Very, very nice guy!!

It was 40 minutes past the appointment time and Peter hadn't called to say he would be late. I called him and he returned my call 10 minutes later, but we've chosen to go with another sweeper.

Very impressed with the quality of service. This is the first time we have used Badger Chimney Spec. We burn a cord plus of wood each winter in our fireplace and in 20 years Peter was the first to remove the glass doors to clean them, offer to order replacement screen for us and overall did a more thorough check and cleaning than the the other company we used in the past (Hansen) and charged less. We will definitely use him again.

He looked at our chimney, saw it didn't need cleaning and told us about a problem on our roof that we didn't know about and covered it for us. We are unable to climb up on the roof and had to wait until Ted was able to do that. He's very nice and we would have him back again...

Peter was great. low key and efficient. He explained what he planned to do, did it and it went very well. Finally he wrapped up by with the condition of the chimney, how to prevent future problem and even gave us the name of a great cleaner we can use periodically.

I feel the service was professional and completely in a timely manner. He arrived when he said he would and called to let me know he'd be here in a half hour. He answered some additional questions that I had.

This was the most thorough and best chimney cleaning that we have ever had. Very efficient and clean.

Peter was very easy and friendly to work with. Always kept me up to date on what was being done and explained everything thoroughly.

We were impressed with Peter from the initial estimate. We had several other masons out to look at the job, and all noted a bent damper. Peter also noted the bent damper, but said, "I can fix that for you" and did so, without a fee, even before we hired him. Peter and staff worked into the night (which was fine with us as we were not living in the house at the time) and got the job done in the expected time frame. We are so pleased with the work, that we're are contemplating another job, and will definitely hire Peter again!
