Excellent service by Paul Trautman (owner) and his roofing and siding crews. Felt like HGTV descended on our house and made it new again. Cannot say enough good things about Timberland Exteriors. They are an excellent company, with fair prices and superior workmanship as well as getting the job done in a timely manner. Worked non-stop to finish our job and were always there to work and on time. We will call Timberland for all our exterior remodeling needs in the future. Already have them on the calendar for new door installation.

We decided to get our home resided and contacted a number of contractors. Timberland had done our window replacement so we contacted them. We met with Pete and discussed what we were looking to do. He took measurements and gave us the estimate a couplecdays later. We also got estimates on vinyl siding not knowing which product we wanted to do. We were happy to see that the Hardie siding was only slightly more expensive than vinyl. Once we got 4 estimates we decided to go with Timberland. We waited about 4 weeks from when we signed the contract to the start of construction. The project took 7 days and the job look great. We are very happy with the quality of the job. The workers were very professional and cleaned up at the end or every day.

We have had many comments from friends and family who say our home looks like an absolutely new home. Our neighbors told us we increased the value of every home on the block! If you are trying to decide on a contractor, I highly suggest you meet with Paul Trautmann and take note of how much he cares about the quality of work. You will not be disappointed when you hire Timberland. And, we will be hiring them again for other exterior projects. I like to research a lot before undergoing a project, so starting in August, 2012, I gathered more than half a dozen quotes to get our siding and deck redone. After many interviews with contractors, I narrowed the finalists down to two contractors ? individuals who seemed like people I could work with for an extensive project (which is important) and who, in addition, were concerned about the small details of re-siding a home. We had waited a long time to do this work, and we did not want to just have the home look the same after this big job. We wanted the transformation to be amazing. Based on attention to detail and the price quote, we finally hired Timberland (Paul Trautmann) and the job started in mid-October 2012. Timberland re-sided our home, put on new James Hardie siding, soffit and facia, gutters, front screen door, front windows, and replaced the deck with a new cedar deck. Paul worked with me to decide on the design of the exterior siding and trim, as our home was built in 1992 and did not have trim around the windows, freeze boards, etc. Paul knew what he was doing when he made good suggestions for how to make the look of our home ?pop?. When I asked how he liked the Hardie color, Timberbark, he said he loved it as that was the color of his home. And, he even invited my husband and me over to see his home to talk about windows and the siding/trim color. He was patient with my ponderings, and he was open to my likes and dislikes. As the project unfolded, the project manager and our continuing main contact, Paul was available and stopped by often to check on progress. Paul lives on the east side of the metro, so that was definitely nice to have him nearby, although I bet he cares about all projects as much as he did ours. Tele & crew did a superb job on the siding and trim. They really know what they are doing. Their attention to detail, like blocks around lights, hanging our new address plaque just right, and thinking about all other aspects of how to do the job to perfection, was amazing. I can?t say enough about how great of a job they did! As the soffit and facia went up, Ben did an equally great job putting on the gutters with the leaf barrier. We will not have to worry about cleaning those out! Bill and Chris provided exceptional craftsmanship on our new deck. They were efficient perfectionists, and we look forward to many lovely warm summer nights sitting out on our beautiful cedar haven! Mark and Gary were quietly efficient when in our home installing the new front windows. And, the windows gathered absolutely no moisture this winter ? I could stand by them without feeling a rush of cold are blow by! I loved the fact that the finishing touch of having our woodwork stained was taken care of by Gary, and I am certain people cannot tell when the real wood begins and the vinyl ends. Paul and his entire team are first-class exterior artists. I am glad I decided to have them use our home as one of their many magnificent canvasses!

In the past week, my neighbor (off of Norfolk Ave) in St Paul had Timberland Exteriors (according to the sign in the front yard) replace their roof. 2 days after the dumpster was removed (which was placed in the alley next to the house, but did not block the alley) I found OVER A DOZEN nails on the paved alley surface - where a broom and a nail roller would have easily picked them up. Most of those nails were within 5 feet of where the dumpster had been. While I can't speak to the quality of the roof installed, the quality of the job site cleanup (which also left palm sized pieces of tar paper in the alley) was terrible. I politely asked the home owner to call Timberland back to re-sweep their work area... something they (the home owners) and I (as their neighbor and user of the alley) shouldn't even have to worry about in the first place if this had just been cleaned up right the first time. Update: I appreciate the fact that Timberland came out the very next day after I posted this review and re-swept for nails and left a professional follow-up note.

They went above and beyond the call in every aspect. We had a lot of challenging issues and Timberland really knew what they were doing. They handled these challenges beautifully. I already referred them to my neigbor and they were just as pleased as I was.

The quickly came out to look at my roofing job, but never provided an estimate even after I followed up with them twice.

I knew that replacing the hail-damaged shingles on the house and garage roofs would be challenging. The houses in our neighborhood generally sit only a few feet apart and are surrounded by well-established shrubs and flowering plants. So when the shingles are torn off, there's virtually no place to throw them down on either side of the house. In addition, our roof is steep and complicated, and the new shingles were extra-heavy. The Timberland Exteriors rep, after looking over the situation, came up with a plan to carry the all the torn-off shingles to the front of the house, then made a call to the company owner Paul Trautmann to make sure the plan was doable. Paul also came out to look at the roof and answer any questions or concerns I might have. (His responsiveness was opposite of the "Don''t worry about it" answers given earlier by another roofing company rep when I asked the same questions of him.) The tear-off proceeded as promised with minimal damage to landscaping. The crew members were hard-working and cheerful despite the close quarters and the heavy shingles going up. Afterward, they did an excellent job of cleaning up, even running a magnet over the neighbors' yard. A job well done. Paul, a hands-on type of owner, quickly resolved any problems that came up during the job. I think he genuinely wants the work done right and the customer to be happy with the results. I am.

Timberland put on a new roof after hail damage. Paul, the owner, is professional, punctual and conscientious. He examined the roof, came out to meet with the insurance adjuster, and handled the billing to insurance after the roof was completed. We just paid the $1000 deductible. Paul also arranged to have the construction done while we were away on vacation. It was nice to have it complete when we returned. This is the second time that we have used Timbaerland Exteriors. A couple of years ago, they replaced siding, sofit and fascia on the house and installed leaf free gutters. Because of that positive experience, we hired them again this year. I would highly recommend them.

The project went great. Timberland's crews are excellant. The siding project went great. Gary and Mark were wonderful gentlemen to work with. They know what they are doing and are very responsive to issues - I don't think you could find a better team to side your house. I was not home when the gutters were installed, but they look great. Our new deck is beautiful. Elliot installed our new IPE deck with extreme skill. Elliot bult our deck to last a lifetime. I found everyone at Timberland to be wonderful to work with. Paul - thanks, we LOVE the house.

Very friendly, personable owner, Paul came out in person to do estimate and chat. His laborer paid close attention to detail and did an excellent job. Paul gave me ideas about some changes (in regard to vertical vs. horizontal siding, blending or contrasting colors of trim against siding, etc...) and gave me addresses of examples of his work, at near by homes, and was fine when I stuck with my own idea. Even thinking my ideas were good once the siding/trim was completed. Only Warning; Owner, Paul, is very chatty, but very nice and sociably execptable. Oh, I should add that I am pretty chatty as well. :-)

Their quote was reasonable, delivery and installation a week earlier than expected, they covered all carpet and wood flooring, worked steadily to avoid having the house open in bad weather, installed according to my exacting specifications and left the area clean and tidy. Everyone with whom I came in contact was most pleasant, polite and professional in speech and manner.

They are great with customer service. They are pleasant to be around. Every single person from the office staff to the workers at my house is prompt, courteous, and very professional! I would highly recommend them to anyone! You will not find a better company at what they do and with customer service.

Work performed by Timerland Exteriors and its subcontractors was very disappointing. Poor communication, absent project manager and poor craftsmanship. In the beginning, we were very excited to work with Timberland. We felt this contractor really understood our needs, an appreciation to restore an old home and cared about his work. We checked out references and reviewed prior jobs, therefore, felt very confident with selecting Timberland to take pride in our home restoration. When the work started just the opposite occurred. Our needs and expectations were not heard nor met. The repeated answer to our frequently voiced frustrations were "once it is painted you won't notice". The project manager didn't own his obligation. He passed off the project managment of each portion of the project (restore, build and paint) to us as the homeowner.

I had issues with work that another company did, so he came out. He gave some recommendations as to what needs to be done. He was just fabulous. He was very professional and personable. I found him to be very responsive.

It was a very satisfying experience! Paul was prompt, involved, concerned and extremely helpful. His estimate was clear and had everything we needed to know. The trade work was excellent. We didn't see much of the removal team or the roofing team, but their work was quality and they cleaned up after themselves. The key trade team was for the siding work. Great guys; prompt, courteous, skilled, arrived early, stayed late, worked hard. The "gutter guys" were as good as the others - and even came back on a Saturday to finish a last minute change request we made. Paul kept track of the various changes, estimated their costs along the way, and summarized them correctly and fairly at the end. Without a doubt, we got our money's worth.

Job went exactly as planned. Dumpster delivered on Monday,materials on Tuesday. The crew showed up at 6 a.m. Wednesday and finished by 7 p.m. same day. Roof looks great. The crew was very careful with our landscape and did a great job of cleanup. The salesman and owner are very professional and know their business. The whole experience was above expectations.

I am very pleased with the siding on the house. It was well done and has held up well through the first winter of having it on the house. I would definitely recommend Timberland and would use them again.

The president came around and showed us what he had already actually done. He was honest and gave us good ideas we hadn't thought of. They were very efficient, worked as a team and cleaned up after themselves.

Excellent! The 3 man team doing the windows were great craftsmen. Beautiful workmanship. The siding tear off team had a couple of small issues, like losing 3 of my exterior light fixtures, and punching a hole in one of my outdoor faucets. But they fixed everything without issue. The siding install team were also great craftsmen. The siding is straight, with no ripples. Excellent job.
