Description of Work: I had Cream City rebuild my chimney. Paul did a great job matching the brick. Kept the job site clean. Actually he was in and out while I was at work. I only knew they were their because I looked up and saw the finished chimney.

Description of Work: I need a mason to fix the bricks on my chimney. It leaks into the house. I was told it was the roof. The roofers, which I trust and have used in the past, came out, took pictures of the gaps in the bricks and then put some sealant on the bricks to help us out

Description of Work: Actually, Cream City did actual work a couple of years ago in my basement. When I called back for some serious foundation work, they were jnust too busy until spring, but it could not wait becasue I was getting water leaking in. | |Cream City referred me to a competent guy who did the work well and quickly - it was a $3,000.00 job and water no longer comes in. But Cream City was good to reply and to point me in the right direction.

Description of Work: Contractor replaced all the brickwork underlying the front porch, replaced the concrete step in front of the porch and repaired the brickwork on the front right corner of the detached garage and did tuckpoint repairs to a number of areas on the garage. Did extra special work in getting brick to match the house in doing the porch repair in front. The old brick did not match the house. This was done beautifully!

Description of Work: They replaced 4 cement sills on top of lannon stone house trim. They also fixed lannon stone driveway edges. The work was done very well. My only comment is I wasn't communicated the schedule until they showed up to do the work.

Paul is very responsive, knowledgable, professional and friendly. He emailed me back within a business day, set up an appt and showed up as expected. He then emailed me a quote and we set a date for him to repair my house. He also was able to complete the work on an earlier date than expected.Paul sealed the corner of my house and filled in the cracks with a similar color so it is not real obvious.I'd recommend Paul for any job of this nature.
Description of Work: My house is a 107 year old cream city brick. There were numerous cracks that needed repair. Plus the southeast corner of the house was damaged and actually had a hole that needed fixing.

This is my second time using Cream City Masonry and was provided the same excellent service I have received the last time. Paul is an honest and personal guy that will get the job done and keep you in the loop. We originally had estimated just sawing the slab in half and pouring a better pitched half to keep the water off the house. Once the concrete was out it was observed that the previous people did not have a good base in so we decided to pull the whole works out and do it right. Paul provided an updated estimate and got to work.
Description of Work: Removed a 10 x 10 patio, brick posts and makeshift awing. Replaced with new, correctly pitched concrete slab

Paul was quick to get his proposal to us - even beating other vendor visits to check out our project. Paul began the project immediately, while the weather would be changing daily and worked through the good and bad weather days. He was flexible to small change requests. He and Jim committed to getting the project done on time. He had supplies delivered as they were needed versus everything at one time - which meant less use of our driveway surface by materials. There were no real complications in the process. The work site was cleaned up at the end of every work day. I would repeat that we could not have asked for a better experience.
Description of Work: Paul responded to our project needs - proposing exactly what we requested. He completed the project before our requested date, allowing me time to complete other changes/enhancements in the area, before a scheduled party. Our request included using a landscaping block that was irregular shaped, requiring extra effort to accomplish our requests. He removed our old redwood deck and replaced it with the desired wall block and paver surface. He had to "build" around a basement window well. He installed concrete "pads" for pergola anchors later this summer. The steps he proposed and installed are outstanding, beautiful steps. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Paul came out to our home to give an estimate on bricking the front of our two story home. He was very polite, professional and honest about the possibilities, he even contacted the town to check on any building codes before coming out. Even though the estimate was very fair, it was a little more than we wanted to spend. We had a couple different bricklayers come out and he was by far our favorite. I would definately recommend contacting him for any masonry service.

I was in a pinch with a house that we just closed on. The previous owners installed a stone fireplace surround in the living room and did not support the weight. This resulted in damage to the floor joists and sinking of the floors in the house. This issue was hidden from inspection with a drop ceiling in the basement . I called a few of the top rated masons and Paul responded quickly and met em at the house within a few hours. we agreed on a price and he offered to do the work the next morning. The work was completed as agreed. Paul is a true professional who I will hopefully work with again.

Paul stopped by to check out the project, arriving when promised. After reviewing the project location and scope, we both (Paul and I) agreed that he didn't have enough time to complete our project this fall before bad weather would arrive, based upon his current and scheduled jobs. We decided to wait for spring to undertake the project.
Description of Work: We want to remove the current raised redwood deck and replacing it with a raised paver patio. Two house exit accesses were required, plus lighting and electrical outlets.

Paul is very friendly & polite. He showed up shortly after I called him and was on time. I could tell quickly he loved what he did for a living and in particular had the patience and skills to work with Cream City Brick which is fragile, old, putzy, old school and labor intensive. We walked my property, and I outlined what I needed done. He emailed me a quote 2 days later, and I hired him over the phone, and sent in a 50% deposit so he could secure materials. He gave me a job start date, and stuck to it. He is a younger guy, and is not afraid of hard work. He took great pains to keep the mess to a minimum in the basement, and HAND CHIPPED OUT all the loose grout because machine grinding is so messy and can destroy Cream City Bricks really fast. The bricks that fell apart anyways, Paul replaced with the same color, used, recycled, bricks that he hand selected and purchased special for my job. He brought several colors and shades so he could get it just right.Since he was working alone on my roof fixing the chimney, he set up scaffolding first to do it safe and efficiently. He didn't mind me hanging around watching him for a while, and changing my mind on a few things. He was very easy and flexible to work with. Paul is a graduate of the Masonry Program at MATC. When my bricks need a little TLC again in the future, I will be calling Paul.
Description of Work: Outside retaining wall cracks ground out and patched, two joints between wall & garage patched, entire basement cream city brick tuckpointed were grout was loose, and about 20 bricks replaced The fireplace chimney on the roof retuck pointed 100% with all the joints first ground out. Paul worked for 5 days.
