All-American was responsible, punctual, true-to-estimate, courteous and have a good product. They also followed up a couple of days later, and then a month later.

The window was leaking badly. The new window was installed and I noticed immediate reduction in the noice level. The installers did a great job, the old window was hard to get out but they finally got it. Looks great and they did a great job of cleaning up afterwards.

They were going to replace all the windows in my house. They quoted about $6800. I thought they were good and very professional. I thought they did a good job of demonstrating the product. I would definitely recommend an estimate from them. I didn’t use them so I can’t tell about the work.

They have always been on time and I've not had a problem with any of the installations. Everything is cleaned up when they leave. When I had a roofing problem which caused a leak in my bay window, they didn't charge me for the service call even though it was NOT a problem with the window installation. (Got the roof fixed & no more problem.) They keep me informed of discounts and special offers. Their prices are reasonable and they are very professional without high pressure tactics. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs new windows.

Dave (sales) was nice to work with and responsive enough. The installation date was later than anticiated due to delays with the product supplier. The installers were just excellent! My issue is as follows: the door hardware was defective out the box - both the deadbolt and the handleset were defective right from the factory - it was noted in the post installation documentation and I also called it in right away - it's been about 2 months so far and I still do not have it replaced. My calls were also not returned on several occasions. Even though I am happy with the door itself, I find the warranty processing / part delivery wait to be unacceptable.

The rep that provided the estimate was excellent. He is very professional and he was on time. The work was scheduled when the they received the materials. The work was done according to schedule. No surprises. Clean up of the site was good.

The day of our installation it was raining hard - so they had to call to reschedule - they gave us the option of a week day a few weeks out - or they were willing to do our house on Saturday. We went with Saturday. They arrived on time and worked efficiently to get a rather large job (10 windows) done quickly. They were good at working with us, we have a dog and we were worried about the dog getting underfoot and getting stepped on, escaping or tripping them. So they kept us informed as to where they would be working next and we kept the dog gated in an area of the house that they had either completed or hadn't gotten to yet. They cleaned up after themselves and when they were through they showed us the various features of the windows and made some suggestions for getting the windows broken in. It took a few of the windows a bit of time to settle in - they didn't open real easy at first but within a week or two they were working just fine - just like they said they would. One screen was missing - but they put in an order and were back out in a few weeks to install it. One window had gone in a bit rough - and while they were here - the double checked to make sure it was installed correctly and was working fine (it was). Now that we've been through a winter with these windows - we can say that they made a big difference - the house was much more comfortable. We soon want to replace our patio door and we'll be calling All American when the time comes.

After moving in to an older home, we needed several things done. We had 4 estimates on windows, and American was the least expensive for a patio door and bay window.We also received a quote from them on siding, but decided on another contractor for that. The salesman who came to the house was really low key and not high pressure which is a big plus. Worried that sometimes the least expensive is not necessarily the best, we visited the showroom and were impressed by the general quality and that the salespeople were the sons of the owners. The patio door and bay window were installed on the same day by the same crew. They were gone when I came home and I immediately noticed that the patio door was not level - off by 1/2 inch. My husband had signed off on the project, not noticing the descrepency. I called American right then (about 5:30pm) and was assured the door would be fixed and the installer would call on Monday. The installer did not call on Monday and on Wednesday I called the service department at American and told them how unhappy I was that the installer did not call as promised.Within an hour the installer called back. (installers do not work for American, but rather are sub-contracted) The installer came on Friday, and actually removed the patio door and fixed it to our complete satisfaction. I did not like the fact that I had to call again to reach the installer. I would have down graded this report, but American really apologized and seemed to genuinely care that we were not happy. The installer fixed the door and apologized for the problem.

The old windows had been installed by the previous owners. While they were good windows, the installation was faulty and they leaked. We had used All American about 15 years ago on our former home. They were fantastic. The subcontractors showed up on 12/1/2010. Robert was the lead man and Nick, his assistant. We were informed that the patio door might not arrive until January due to manufacturing delays. We had been told that earlier and were okay with that. The men worked Dec 1 & 2 but did not come back on Friday or Saturday. Nor did anyone call to let us know. All American called and said the patio door came in and they would be installing it. The two men worked separately except when they installed the larger windows. They did inform us of the poor installation of the previously installed windows and stated it was a shame to have to replace a good brand name window due to poor workmanship. There was no insulation under the former bow window. However, when we did the walk around inspection a section of the brand new siding was broken. They did replace it and you can't tell. They installed the patio door, but the one blind did not work at all and the mechanism to lock the screen was missing. A new patio door was ordered and installed and the screen keeper lock was installed on 2/15/11. Now that the weather is warmer, we are finding the windows are hard to close. We called All American and Dan Lodwick came out the same day. He made some adjustments and instructed us to close the top of the double hung, hold on to it in the middle and then close the bottom half. It does work, but I am 5'3" and that is not an easy reach. These are a different brand of window from what they used 15 years ago. Mr Lodwick states that the former manufacturer has gone to a cheaper method of making their windows and we would not like them. Not sure I like these as all. Can't say for sure if it is the window or the installation. The lead guy was good, but his assistant did not have the same finesse. The house looks great with the new siding and windows. We are hoping we don't have any trouble with the windows after a year of being installed in the house. Update 5/23/2014 We didn't like these windows when they were installed and we still don't like them. We have to lift out the sliding windows to clean them. Being in the 70s age range, we cannot lift these windows. This includes one large sliding window in the living room and a set of smaller ones over the kitchen sink. We were not really aware of this when they were installed. We thought they would swing out like the double hung do. This past winter there was ice on one of the bedroom windows. The technician came out and determined the window was bowed out and the sashes needed to be replaced. They did that at no charge. However, we were not happy that the window never closed correctly. Again, we have been told several times that we have to drop down the top window, raise it up and hold it there, while slamming the bottom down in order to lock them. I am 5' 3" and shrinking. I cannot do that. and don't feel that is the proper way to close windows. The last tech said we can slide the screen to the side and pop it out to clean the slider windows. Yeah, right! Tried that and could not get the screen out. So the slider windows will not get cleaned. It was a mistake to install these windows.

Chad Spaeth and his assistant Joe arrived every day by 8 A.M. at the latest and immediately went to work. They were very polite and hard working. They had a job to clean up the old siding because it was very cheap and had absolutely no backing; just sheets of plastic basically. Then, they tyveked the house and put up the siding. They finished the house in three days and left the job site as clean as possible. That was important to us because we have a large retriever and we did not want him stepping on sharp pieces of plastic. Chad and his assistant never took more than 30 mins for lunch and worked very hard to complete the job. The house looks beautiful. Not only is the house wrapped, but the new siding has rigid insulation attached to the back. Now the house is definitely warmer.

Ordered the three windows and storm door in late January for installation in early March. A complication in the house rehab required a delay in the installation. All American was very accomomodating and changed the installation date at no cost. The installation was done later in March and completed in one day. The storm door had to be trimmed on site to accommodate a change in the door framing after All American had made their calculations. The fit is excellent on the storm door and the windows work efficiently, look great and made an excellent addition in the updating of a 1950's home.

I liked the fact that they weren’t high pressure about selling their stuff. I was looking for windows, and they weren’t high pressure when I was talking to them. The workers that came out were very nice. There were no complications at all. I would recommend them to other people.

I would have gone with this company except that I got estimates from another company that would also replace the basement windows with glass block, and put 2 storm windows on the garage, for about the same price.

This past spring, when the storm door hyper-extended in a wind storm because it wasn't closing properly, the door closer ripped out of the door jam. I e-mailed photos of the damage and the company offered to come out and do the repairs for $180, but suggested I try and fix it myself. They finally sent someone out to fix the problem but not until I mentioned that I was a member of Angie's List and was considering filing a negative report. They discovered the closer had been installed backwards.

I couldn't have been happier with the entire process. The salesman who gave us a quote was quite accommodating to our schedules and very thorough. We looked at a wide range of companies and products, and All-American provided the best value for the money. It took about four weeks for our door to come in after it was ordered. We were able to arrange for installation about a week after we were informed that our door had arrived. The installation went perfectly. The installer was very professional and did a wonderful job cleaning up once the installation was complete. The door is beautiful and is a wonderful addition to our home. We will definitely use All-American in the event we need to replace additional doors or windows in the future.

They did a wonderful job. I have driven past my house and didnt recongize it. Thats how good it was. The price was great!

They did a great job. They were true to their word. They were on time and they worked with our budget. All follow up was timely as well. I would definitley use them again.

I liked the quality of their product. They are in this business from a long time. I liked the professionalism of the dealers when they came out, and their professionalism to install when they came in. They wanted to make sure they did an excellent job and everything was fixed properly. They cleaned up very nicely. I didn't have any complications with them. I would recommend them to everyone. I would use them in the future. They came to talk about the replacement of the windows. I will get it done from them, but I'm not sure when.

A prospective client/customer searches to find quality products, fair bids and craftsmanship from a window and door business. We all begin our search when we remodel, build, or when the wicked wind takes a front door and it needs replacing or fixing ASAP. This company does, indeed, provide their customers with all the above.

They had a good price, which is why I chose them. They were professional. There was nothing negative about the guys that came. They were on time, had quality work, and cleaned up after themselves.

Joey & Rob were excellent workers. The craftsmanship is exceptional. Caulking and aluminum framing are perfect. They were friendly, polite & cleaned up after themselves. They said it would take 3 days and that's what it took. They were very considerate of our furnishings, careful with the cat and conscientious about the weather, keeping doors and windows closed when they could. Both inside and outside were immaculately cleaned and materials picked up. They answered all our questions professionally. Their expertise is amazing. Dan, who did the estimates, was very thorough & a great salesman. He was very convincing & knew his product. We did have other estimates but we went with American even though it cost more & the work couldn't be done until January. We lost out on the tax deduction but American took care of us by increasing to triple pane windows at no extra cost. There were also two complete measurements done and the second one was done by the foreman. We are going to have our siding done also by American, later. They were the most expensive, but you get what you pay for and we got top quality product and exceptional work and service. We are very satisfied with the work and the product. We are glad we joined Angie's List and found them on your recommendation. Thank you.

The work was done in the middle of a snow storm. So it was done quickly in a day. Their product seems to be pretty good. They were pretty good and they were fast too. I would use their services in the future.

They came out a did a perfect job. Everything is working great and I would recommend them to others.

Company exclusively offers Softlite windows which are highly rated in the industry. Be careful with your price as like most window companies they start WAY too high. Once you detmerine the market price (compared to other quality windows) they will honor it for the most part. They do push their Elements hard, but keep in mind that they have a bigger, beefier frame. If you don't have a large window they look huge and you lose ALOT of glass. Luckily I did a test on two windows and switched to the Barington which is still a great window but has a slimer profile...much much better from an aesthtic view. They do use subs. The first set was ok, just a few minor compliants but nothing to write home about. The second set was perfecto, no complaints. The company itself, meaning office people and sale people are top notch. The swarm of window companies in the west allis area have extremelely pushy and annoying sales people....so two thumbs up for All American's non-pressure attitude.
