Description of Work: Never dealt with a worse contractor. Per contract, initial install was 7-9 weeks from 8/29/15. Having heard nothing from the time the contract was signed, I initiated contact with our salesperson on 10/8. After receiving no reply, I e-mailed him again on 10/13. Their booklet, page 18 - "Getting to Installation Day - Product Ordering" states "Because we know how much you're looking forward to your anticipated home improvement, we'll keep track of your order's progress." Hah! Not so much! When asked when we could expect installation to begin, we got an "I don't know." ATCP 110 requires that a seller give a buyer timely notice of any impending delay in contract performance. I heard nothing more until I e-mailed him on 11/5/15. Since they hadn't lived up to their commitments, we asked that the contract be voided. At that point, he turned me over to the owner (Terri) for response. It spiraled downhill from there. Communications were rude and unprofessional. The only reasons she offered for delay was that it was their busy time and they were inundated with work from their 30 year anniversary promotions. Those are not acceptable reasons for delay. She also stated that circle tops can delay a project. After 30 years in business, that should have been factored into the initial installation dates. We didn't establish the 7-9 week window for installation to begin - they did. They blamed the window manufacturer but when I asked when the windows were ordered, she said she didn't have that information. When I asked for documentation of when the windows were ordered, they refused to provide any documentation to substantiate that they ordered the windows timely and, in fact, the delay was at the manufacturer end. Instead, I received an e-mail from their attorney advising me that they would not return my deposit and if I paid the second installment (which isn't actually due until commencement, per the contract), they would schedule installation. I was advised the only alternative is litigation which they would like to avoid. We gave in and allowed them to continue with the project, since we didn't want to waste even more money on litigation. The initial install resulted in chaos for us during the holidays - installation problems, broken and damaged windows, and more. While we thought the windows would be in by November 1st, that wasn't the case at all. There have been several issues with installation but, I will say this, they continue to come back and attempt resolution of the issues. The actual installation staff and crews are very polite and easy to deal with. It is not them I graded above. It is just the owner and her attorney that are very rude, unprofessional, intimidating and even threatening. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I'm sure they will try to rebut this, but I've double-checked every statement I've made here to ensure accuracy.

Description of Work: The Sales person was good and provided a lot of information until I asked for details on the Labor warrantee. Written details would not be provided and after a couple of requests, I moved on. Very happy with the contactor I chose who was more than happy to provide details on their Labor warrantee.

Description of Work: We had several windows installed by All American Window and Door and were very happy. The installation crew was very nice, and very neat. Some of the windows were a bit of a challenge, but I never heard a complaint, and the job site was completely cleaned up when they were finished. I would definitely recommend them.

ALTHOUGH WE APPROACHED A NUMBER OF CONTRACTORS, WE ONLY GOT ONE OTHER BID. ALL-AMERICAN WAS A DREAM COME TRUE. THEY HAVE A SHOW ROOM , SO THERE'S ALWAYS SOMEBODY TO ANSWER THE PHONE DURING HOURS. NO FRUITLESS PHONE-TAG. EVERYBODY FROM THE SALESMAN, TO THE GUY WHO TOOK THE MEASUREMENTS, TO THE INSTALLATION CREW SHOWED UP & ACCOMPLISHED THEIR TASKS WITHIN THE APPOINTED TIMES THEY GAVE US, SO WE WERE NEVER KEPT WAITING OR WONDERING. THEY DID EVERYTHING QUICKLY, NEATLY, & DID IT FOR THE BID PRICE. EVERYTHING STILL LOOKS & WORKS GREAT.
Description of Work: OUR HOUSE WAS BUILT WITHOUT FLASHING. THE SILL TO A NON-STANDARD SIZED PATIO DOOR OPENING ONTO A BALCONY ROTTED, WATER RAN INSIDE THE WALL TO THE CASEMENT WINDOW ON THE FIRST STORY BELOW, & THE ANTS GOT INTO IT & TURNED THE FRAME TO SAWDUST. THEY REPLACED THE PATIO DOOR USING FLASHING, THE WINDOW ( WE CHOSE FIBERGLASS FRAME) THE ROTTED WOOD & INSULATION, THE INTERIOR TRIM.

HE MERELY NAILED THE BROKEN SASHES BACK UP AND THEY LOOK TERRIBLE. WE ASKED THE COMPANY TO FIX THEM, IT TOOK 4 WEEKS AND SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO GET IT DONE, BUT NOW THEY HAVE INSTALLED THE INDOOR SASHES. THE STAINING JOB DOES NOT MATCH THE REST OF THE WOOD IN THE ROOM IN THE BACK OF THE HOUSE, BUT THE SASHES ARE THERE. WE WILL HAVE TO RESTAIN THE WOOD OURSELVES ON THIS BACK DOOR WHEN THE WEATHER PERMITS. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT WE HAD SO MUCH TROUBLE WITH THIS COMPANY.

USUALLY THEY WERE PROMPT IN RETURNING CALLS, BUT A FEW TIMES I DID NOT GET THE INFO I WAS LOOKING FOR. I LOOKED AT MANY PLACES BEFORE WE BOUGHT HERE, THEY HAD THE BEST SELECTION AND QUALITY PRODUCT WE COULD FIND. NO HIGH PRESSURE SALES. ONLY PROBLEM WE HAD WAS THAT THEY DID NOT CALL ME FOR INSTALLATION, I HAD TO CALL THEM TO ASK IF MY DOORS WERE IN. THEY WERE AND WE SET A DATE. I DO WONDER HOW MUCH SOONER THEY COULD OF BEEN IN. WHEN I WENT WITH ANOTHER COMPANY WHOSE BID WAS ABOUT A 1,000 LESS, THE ALL AMERICAN REPRESENTATIVE OFFERED TO REDUCE HIS PRICE BY 1,500. TO ME THIS WHEELING AND DEALING ATTITUDE WAS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INSULTING. THE LOWER PRICE SHOULD HAVE BEEN OFFERED INITIALLY. THEY HAVE GOOD PRODUCTS BUT BEWARE OF THEIR AGGRESSIVENESS.
