I contacted Darrel, the owner of Dixon Drywall to give me an estimate for my project on a Saturday morning and he found time to come out and measure things up that same day. He was very prompt with getting back to me with pricing so we were able to hire him the following week. All of the employees were very respectful and went over and above making sure the dust didn't escape the lower level. All of the work was completed in the time frame he gave me which is the most important to me. I really appreciate all of the work he has done.

The job went very well. Daryl did everything we discussed in our original meeting, plus. Everything was explained and there were no surprises. Daryl was very punctual on all three days of the job. It looks great and the cleanup was fantastic. I will certainly recommend Dixon Drywall to friends.

We really liked the confidence and professionalism shown throughout the project. We had a few other contractors give estimates and weren't nearly as confident in their ability to make everything look good. One of the things we appreciated the most was they were very good about containing any mess that was created during the work.

A lot of my subcontractors I use are off Angie's List. I have four or five guys that I use on all of my projects; their all from different companies and they do a great job. I would highly recommend them. We've used them several times this year and actually, the last couple years, we've been doing tons of projects together. Of course, we started with Angie's List and it's allowed us to find good companies to work with. So, you've been an asset on both sides of the table for us contractors.

I started what I thought was a small bathroom remodel. However, as I went along, I decided to do a little more than first anticipated. Also, I was strapped for time as a family gathering had been moved from one of my relative's house to mine. This gathering was to happen in three weeks and I needed the work done quickly. I called Daryll Dixon at Dixon Drywall and Texture on a Thursday afternoon. We set up an appointment for the next day (Friday). He arrived on time and he gave me a rough estimate and indicated he could have the job done by the following Friday (within one week). Daryll was professional, courteous and friendly. He sent me the final estimate by e-mail and I hired Dixon Drywall to repair the drywall and apply texture to the walls and ceiling in my half bath. All this work was to be completed within one week. Daryll indicated he would start the job on Tuesday (January 3rd) and complete it by that next Friday (January 6th). He did just what he promised. He began the job on Tuesday as promised and finished it one day early on Thursday. His work looks GREAT! Also, he protected my new tile floor and set up barriers to keep the dust from the rest of the house. He also cleanup up after the work and did a great job of that too. I will definitely use Dix Drywall and Texture again in the future when the need arises.

Our upstairs bathroom had a leaky toilet, causing water damage to our downstairs bathroom. For over a year I looked at the damage and attempted to fix it mysel but eventually time got the best of me and I decided to have a pro do the job. I called 4 different places but only Dixon got back to me which didn't matter since they were great! Within about 1 and half weeks the job was started and was finished in 3 days (2 working days). Instead of charging us to replace everything, even what we had attempted to patch ourselves, they were able to work with what was there and make it look like new again. Th price was reasonable ($275 total), and well worth it since I obviously wasn't going to get to it considering it had been over a year! Well worth the money!!

They are easy to deal with. They are really good about cleaning up after the job and they are really pleasant.

Dixon came out and did a quick estimate and within days had the job completed on budget and on time. Excellent!!

very good professional contractor

When we had our home reroofed, some screws popped in our drywall. Leaving holes in the plaster every 6 inches. This happened over 15 years ago, and now my walls look brand new finally! thanks so much guys! we are having them come back and refinish our kitchen.

The job went very well, they came when they said they would, it took as long as they said it would and it cost what they said it would. It looks great! We are having them come back and swirl the ceilings and paint three bedrooms.

Not only was the ceiling beautifully repaired, but we had them repair and paint a series of troublesome cracks in our kitchen. What impressed us most was their creative approach to getting that texture to match. In fact the work was so well done, that we have hired them to come back for some additional work in other rooms. They were also very efficient, cleaned up after themselves, and, importantly, reasonably priced. We would certainly use them again and, in fact, have already contracted with them to do additional work. Our highest recommendation.

Daryl came within a couple days of my call to provide an estimate, but was not able to schedule the work for over 3 weeks, which meant we had already moved in when he came. He and his crew did a good job of containing the dust and cleaning up. We tried to keep out of the area as much as possible to make it easier for them to block off. There was a delay after they removed the old drywall because I needed to have an electrician come in to rewire, but Daryl worked to get me back in the schedule and get the new dry wall up, mudded, and textured with only a 2 day delay (which was the time the electrician required). I also asked Daryl to provide a quote for painting the new drywall, which he did. In the end, I decided to do it myself, because it is not a big job and it seems more expensive to have someone else come in to do the small jobs with multiple colors than the larger jobs. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism. Daryl made a real effort to match the existing texture on the walls and ceilings and the room that they did over looks wonderful. The electrician and other contractors that are working on my house also commented on the quality of the work in general. I also really appreciated that Daryl noticed any place where the walls had been dinged or damaged, some by carrying the drywall in, but mostly by our movers, and he patched those as well. I would not hesitate to call them again or recommend to another friend.

They called me the night before to tell me when they would be here between 9:00am and 9:30am and they got here at 9:10am. They did a beautiful job. They patched all the cracks in my hallway. They did a beautiful job of cleanup as well. The men that were here were very pleasant and clean. They covered up all my nail holes. They put two coats of on the walls and two coats on the ceiling. I am in shock because they had a guy that went around with an exacto knife to make sure that there was no paint on any of my woodwork or anywhere that it should not have been. The line between my ceiling and wall is perfect - I have not seen anything like it before in my life. I was very happy.

Daryl and his team did a fine job. The cut list was small and taken care of the next day. Just make sure you discuss your expectations with the guys up front and they will do what you ask of them. I will recommend them or use them again if needed.

The job was to refurbish a porch with damaged wood paneling, an ugly indoor-outdoor rug, and damaged windows. Basically we wanted to change a "junk room" into useable, beautiful space. The work was done under the supervision of our contractor, Rick Larson of Larson Builders, Inc. We've had previous work done by Rick and Dixon Drywall, and were delighted that the painting part of the job would again be done by Dixon. Our porch used to be an outdoor porch, which we discovered when the wood paneling was removed to reveal wood siding. Darryl Dixon gave us excellent advice that we needed to remove the interior siding before applying sheetrock because the sheetrock would have eventually rippled on top of the uneven surface. Removing the siding added to the cost of the project, but resulted in an absolutely stunning room. The painting job took a little more time than expected because of the very humid weather the week they painted, but they made sure the paint had dried properly before finishing, which we were very glad to see. Also, Darryl made a great suggestion about painting the bench which improved greatly on my original plan. Darryl and Dale are very professional, friendly, offer valuable suggestions and do excellent work.

I did not hire Dixon Drywall but my estimate experience was very professional.

Darryl is excellent at what he does. He is very thorough at explaining all the details needed. Great business skills, upfront, honest individual that will stop at nothing to make sure every detail was just perfect. There was even a packet of warranty info, organized colors, billing, and photos of shots before, during, and after the project. Outstanding quality and customer service.

Daryl's work was flawless and professional. We were totally blown away by his work. Daryl and his crew are highly skilled, detail-oriented, efficient -- but still meticulous -- and considerate of their customers. He worked closely with our contractor; they had an excellent working relationship with one another. There was very little downtime once the work began; disruption to our household was minimal. I was able to work in my home office throughout the renovation. Early in the process, Daryl gave us large (1'x1'x1") wood blocks textured and painted with the colors we'd chosen. This enabled us to compare room decor elements with the wall colors and know that they would compliment one another. Daryl and his crew picked up and vacuumed the work areas at the end of each day. Also, Daryl had the work area cleaned professionally at the end of the job. Finally, he came back to do touch-ups several days after our furniture was returned and took care of the nicks and glitches caused by furniture bumping up against the newly painted walls. Daryl provided creative solutions to several areas of the project. He noticed that the ceiling beams in our living room had sagged somewhat. (Our house is 80+ years old) and helped us solve this problem by installing an RC-1 furring channel. The best time to address this problem was during renovation, and so we were happy that he brought it to our attention and offered an economical solution. Also, when we decided that we wanted to expose the bricks of the chimney that stands in the corner of our dining room, Daryl sprayed the brick with a fixative that will allow us to clean the bricks without producing masonry dust. The result is distinctive and beautiful. Some minor damage was caused by tape on the kitchen ceiling when the vented microwave was installed. The kitchen ceiling was not part of the initial job's scope, but Daryl generously repainted the ceiling at no cost. Daryl is our painter and wall guy from now on.
